This review is for the superb care I received from the particular Dr. who handled my case.
This summer, I went to Premiere's Dr. Chiara Mariani for a recurring back problem. The problem had plagued me for over 30 years. I had gone to several chiropractors in the region, but never felt I was getting my money's worth. More often than not, it seemed they were more interested in selling me on more office visits than anything else. I have the gut feeling that my back would've gotten better eventually whether I saw them or not.
This spring, my back started acting up and persisted- despite numerous visits to a local chiropractor.
I decided to take a different course, and go to an orthopedist. Dr. Mariani made an immediate impression on me- and not just for her looks. She's a very tall, thin, and attractive woman of Italian origin. Her manner is what really stood out. It's the way she carries herself. She has a very direct, matter-of-fact way of diagnosing and explaining things to a patient. I detected no BS from her whatsoever. Nowadays, my impression of the medical profession is that they are always looking to make money from you first and foremost. Always looking to steer you to expensive tests and a treatment course that usually ends up lining their pockets.
This was not the impression I got from her at all. She diagnosed my problem, prescribed a course of physical therapy to strengthen my core, and sent me on my way. That was it. No X-rays, no CAT scans, no MRIs. Nothing. She apparently felt it was a waste, and not necessary.
I'm happy to say that my treatment went superb. I went to NovaCare in Swedesboro, and have a positive review for them as well. I noticed IMMEDIATE relief, and continue to feel better than I have in years. Here's the catch- you have to stick with the program if you want it to work.
If you have persistent back pain, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Mariani.
