The search for a decent Gynecologist continues. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. Got there, did the paperwork, was left waiting an HOUR AND A HALF past my appointment time before they called me to the back. I asked one of the assistants at the front desk and she was baffled as to why I was still sitting there waiting. Obviously there is a lack of communication between this team. I, finally, get to go to the back and see the Nurse Practitioner. After the exam, she lets me know she'll be sending in a script for me. Here it is Saturday (my appointment was Tuesday) and I'm calling my pharmacy to see if they got a script sent in for me and they never got it... it was never sent in. They dropped the ball so much and with no explanation. Needless to say, I won't be returning to them for any future services. Very disappointed. This place has really gone down the drain. I had a 1:00 appointment and as I write this it is now 2:16 and the doctor hasn't come in yet. They are unprofessional and it's just an all around bad practice. They asked me to submit a urine sample. Typically it's placed in a small window/door and they grab it from the other side. I open the door and I can't place my urine sample in. Why? Because there are THREE other urine samples there. Talk about disgusting. It was tolerable when Dr. Lett was here, but now it's just a no for me. This will be my last appointment here. They need to get it together. Retrain your staff on customer service or just shut it down all together. You aren't the only OB GYN in town so stop acting like it. read more

As a new patient I come in and speak to the young lady behind the desk, she says nothing. I don't mind it maybe your in a bad mood that's fine. I sign in for my 3:15 appointment with a arrival at 3:02. I sit and I wait understanding that doctors do run behind and by the looks of the waiting room, it's busy. The time is now 3:38 I go to the front desk and ask the young lady(not the one that didn't speak) but another one ma'am what time was my appointment for? And how much longer do you think I'll have to wait. Get this..."I'm so sorry..:you weren't checked in." So at this point now I'm mad. The waiting room isn't that big so as a front desk person I would think your watching your waiting room, making sure patients are being helped making sure that everyone is being taken care of. Nope!!! So now she's apologizing for my wait and trying to get my checked in, but guess what I still have to wait. Because now there is a new set of patients that all have appointments and it's not their fault I was missed. This isn't the type of first impression you want to make on a new patient. It just takes sooooo long. Pay copay upfront but then sit and wait over an hour to be seen. I've been coming here for well over 10 years - they are the best at what they do but it's just gotten so popular that the wait times are crazy. On the phone and in the office. And they mess up appointment times too. The time given on the phone is different from the time confirmed on email. Then I call and they pretty much say "take it or wait until March for the next available." SMH. Could use some customer service skills as well. Understand that as a customer we will be frustrated if we have to wait this long - when we inquire for an update - be empathetic. Things happen but communication is key. Dr. Leslie or Tia are not the problem. It is the office staff and Dr. Brown. I have had a horrible experience my entire pregnancy and this is my first pregnancy. The staff just throw paperwork at you and continuously ask you to sign paperwork without explaining anything. I was recommended to get genetic testing completed. They said my insurance will cover the procedure. A month later I received a $1000 bill. The staff have misinformed me multiple times and makes my blood pressure go up every time I go there. I'm canceling all of my appointments and searching for a new doctor in the middle of my pregnancy. They have made this experience the worst. read more

I want to start by saying that I like Tia (my NP). She is always understanding and has a good bedside manner. That said, the structure here leaves much to be desired. I had my annual which led to a referral for imaging. I completed that process and received a call from Premiere to call regarding my results. My issue is this, I waited for over 38 minutes on the phone before anyone answered. Seriously, 38+ minutes of the loop detailing the services offered with Premiere. That is not acceptable. Then, when the phone is answered, the receptionist read a note to me and told me to schedule a telehealth appointment. Surely if I needed a telehealth appointment, that could've been stated in the voicemail so that I did not have to spend 38+ minutes of my day on hold. I could've scheduled an appointment on the portal and not wasted my time. This has to change. That wait time is again unacceptable. read more

It's honestly a mess and my experience was very UNPROFESSIONAL. The receptionist was horribly rude and got frustrated because I asked why my appointment was being cancelled. She told me that it was because someone called out but where is the rest of your staff? That is absurd. They must believe that we need them when in actuality, THEY NEED US. I didnt want to leave a bad review, but I wish I would have read the reviews before I went there. If you want to be treated like a #...then this is the place for you. I have so many stories of how this practice has horrible customer service from (1) no return calls to being put on hold for (2) 9 minutes and instead of coming back to the phone, someone hung up the phone. (3) then, when you ask for your medical records to be sent to another practice, they are unavailable to speak with you and have every excuse why it takes so long. Another: the nurses at the hospital kept asking me if "my" doctor came in to see me bc she kept passing my room...well no. She never came into my hospital room to see me at 28 weeks when I was in the hospital. Also, they scheduled a c section for me before my due date when I told them I wanted a trial of labor. The office staff doesn't get simple tasks done in a timely matter and you have to call for updates. I called because my insurance change and a prescription was no longer covered. I was told I had to find a comparable replacement. I then emailed with a list over 48 hours ago and still no update or correspondence from them. I have called twice today to express ho we are still just waiting. I work as a nurse and it is unacceptable to not keep patients in the loop as well as take this amount of time. read more

My baby was delivered successfully via c-section via Dr. Brown and Dr.Lett. I never even met Dr.Lett before she help cut me open. She never introduced herself to me or my husband. The medical staff at the hospital are the people truly responsible for my moderately positive experience. Bad news, I only saw an MD three visits throughout my pregnancy. I usually saw the nurse practitioner, Tia McCray. The worse doctor in their practice is Dr. Taylor. She has terrible bedside manner and empathy for her patients. She seems like she does not enjoy her job. Throughout my experience, the office lacked communication with me. They forgot to discuss results with me, give me vaccines for the health of me and my baby. When I was discharged from the hospital no one prescribed me a stool softer so I would not get extreme constipation being that I was prescribed a narcotic for pain. With my first pregnancy I had questions and doubts. With this pregnancy I asked more questions and got great answers to questions I should have asked the first time around. I am so glad I trust the women in this practice with my pregnancies. The professionals are part of my memories of having my first and second child and I have developed a respect appreciation and admiration for their hard work and dedication. There is a high demand for their services and they are always working and working hard. They live up to the name Premier. Dr. Taylor Thomas makes sure to follow the guidelines to a T and she told me the day I had my son there were 30 women having babies at the same time. Who can keep track of all of that? Only someone truly exceptional. Dr. Whitehurst-Brown I could ask anything and I think she has seen it all at least 7 times or more. Tia McCrea is so sweet and tries to remember all of the patients and always comes into the appointment prepared and well informed of what she needs to tell the patient. read more

Let me start by saying that dr Leslie is not the problem AT ALL. She is kind and listens to your concerns however that's if you can even get to see her. There office staff is outright HORRIBLE. I've had appointments canceled without even receiving a 24 hour notice I've also had scheduled appointments which I had to change the locations from Annapolis to bowie because they claim Annapolis was overbooked drove all the way to Bowie for a 915 appointment didn't get seen until almost 1130. No apology no nothing , The office staff didn't even come out to tell myself or the four other women that were waiting anything. Honestly though what did it for me was I had a gestational diabetes test scheduled and expressed my concerns that the liquid drink makes me very ill and I wanted to know if there were any other options for me. I called for about four days leading up to my appointment they kept telling me a nurse was going to call me back and nothing transpired. I'm a working mom so I couldn't takeoff the time off of work to go to the appointment just to not be seen so I landed up missing the appointment, I called the following week almost every single day and still never received a callback from a nurse!! Finally after almost a full week and a half from the appointment date someone finally calls me back and tells me that there are no other options and that if I choose not to take the test then I need to be seen by a high-risk doctor for gestational diabetes. However the crazy part is it was just the front desk receptionist calling back to tell me that a nurse relayed that information to her. Love these doctors but getting increasingly frustrated with office staff and nurses. This is my second pregnancy with them and I never had these issues during the first pregnancy. I cant get nurses or staff to return phone calls and provide information. I am getting worried about aspects of my pregnancy and they are unable to provide me with thw confidence and reaasurance I need at this point. Additionally, if something is awry with test results, I should know asap so things can be addressed and treated properly. The WORST obgyn. Other than me never meeting ANY of the doctors there aside from my first visit they completely ignored my glucose test until it was too late and I asked about it after reading about it online. They only care about the money and have no genuine care for your pregnancy or what happens. I had to call out of work and come get my glucose testing ON MY OWN because the doctor didn't bother to notice I was past due for it. It was my first pregnancy so I wouldn't have known anything if I hadn't read something online about it. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone. And I highly disapprove of their tactics. My husband and I wanted things to work out with this office, but by our 30 week OB appointment, we decided to switch to a midwifery for the following reasons... Early in my pregnancy, it took a week for the nurse to inform me that I had a UTI. At every appointment, we waited at least an hour, even when we scheduled the first appointment of the day. We only met with a doctor once and met with a nurse at all of our other appointments. I was told to go to the Crofton location for my 30 week appointment and when I arrived, the office lights were off and the door was locked. I immediately called the Bowie location and the receptionist said I was supposed to receive an automated message about my appointment. Why would they not call to reschedule? I was then told to come to the Bowie office, and waited an hour before seeing the nurse. The nurse said she would send my urine sample to the lab to test for a UTI (this was a Friday). I received a missed call from her the following Thursday. I called back within 4 minutes and the call went to the answering service because she called me after hours. I called the next morning and the receptionist was unable to put me in touch with the nurse. She said she would have the nurse call me. It is now Tuesday and I still have not heard from her. Thankfully, the nurse sent a prescription to my pharmacy and the pharmacy notified me. I also had an appointment with another doctor for a separate issue and she was able to confirm in office that I did in fact have a UTI. I gave Premier Ob/Gyn 2 stars because I do believe the nurses and doctors are knowledgeable and care about their patients. However, they need to improve their processes and office management. read more

The doctor wasn't even present for my delivery. The hospital staff kept saying no one would return their calls/pages. I literally waited in reception for 15+ minutes while in active labor_ I was 9 cm before they triaged me and transported me to a room (I got there with time to spare but AAMC L&D wasted time staring at me breathe thru tough contractions in a wheel chair while they waited on Premeir to call them back_ then tried to label it "precipitous labor" I called Premeir 5 hours before I went to the hospital and had my 40 week check up the day before so no it was NOT precipitous) _ that's also a FYI about how you'll be treated at AAMC. I would never go to a provider assigned to AAMC ever again. Back to the delivery: I'm finally admitted (at 9cm) and delivered by a helpful unknown OB, then some OB I had never met or been offered an appointment with my entire pregnancy casually walks in with coffee several minutes AFTER my baby was delivered and tried to pretend she knew me in front of the hospital staff to save face for the practice - I was so exhausted I couldn't even call her out. Then the doctor on call the next day whom I had at least 3-4 appointments with didn't even remember me. So if you're uncertain, don't overlook the signs you experience during your initial visits and the other reviews here. They should stop taking new patients for a while and maybe downsize/train staff so they can improve on quality. The lab collection tech at Odenton is way too rough handed and cold demeanor. I'm not at all afraid of needles and I would drive to Bowie just to avoid her taking my sample (and the horrible front desk staff at Odenton). The tech and front desk at Bowie are much better on all accounts but they still needed multiple (3+) follow up calls to complete paperwork and prescription refills. I waited 1-2 hours on multiple occasions for appointments to start because the OB was at the hospital but my day comes and no shows up from the practice until 24 hours after my baby was born. Unbelievable. I never ever went back and no one ever called to check on why I didn't return for a 6 week follow up. Probably because they knew better. read more

I can't even get an appointment to make a review!! I called on a Friday mid-September to make an appt for a pressing matter and nothing was available until October 12th (understandable). My issue comes when I received an automated voice message the following Monday saying that my appointment had to be cancelled. I call back immediately just for them to tell me they had nothing available until November 2nd....I took the appt. Fast forward to October 3rd, I receive ANOTHER automated voice message (after business hours btw) canceling that appointment!!!! I really hate to give this practice a poor rating. All the doctors are great but the office staff and their ability to handle administrative business is terrible. I am constantly put on hold or phone lines are busy, not to mention inconvenient hours of operation. Paperwork is never submitted even when numerous written requests are given. I received a medical bill that required the office to submit information to cover the claim (it took almost my entire pregnancy to get it taken care of). I eventually had to get it taken care of myself with the insurance company, which I feel is the responsibility of the office. The biggest incident was the busy fax number; relocated to another state and needed medical records sent to me and took literally 30 mins to go through. I agree with others regarding the excessive telephone wait time, as well as, the office wait time... IT'S HORRIBLE. I advise current and prospective patients to be aware of form fees. In the event you require any forms to be completed by the doctor, please note this office requires $35 per form. Begrudgingly, I paid the initial $35 that I thought was for all the forms I needed completed for my procedure (FMLA, STD- Short Term Disability). Unbeknownst to me the insurance company had a inquiry to complete their processing and they attempted to contact Dr. Leslie's office directly. My short-term disability was taking too long to be processed, so I inquired from the insurance company to find out the delay. They had faxed Dr. Leslie's office four times to seek information. Dr. Leslie's office ignored the request until I called, which allowed them an opportunity to tell me they would not respond until I paid another $35. Absurd right, this seems like extortion to me. If we aren't paid an additional form fee we will not respond to the insurance company. In my opinion, this is an unethical business practice. While I am not against a nominal form fee, I disagree with multiple form fees for the same procedure. In this case, I paid the initial $35, but to pay another $35 totaling $70 is preposterous. When I requested to speak to someone in management, I was transferred to a medical assistant who refused to identify herself. Very unprofessional business practices, I'm very saddened and angry about my experience with Premier Obgyn. While I personally like Dr. Leslie, her staff and office administrative processes are unacceptable. As such, I will not be returning, looking for new gynecologist. I do not believe I should have to subject myself to poor customer service for the sake of a nice doctor, I believe both can be achieved simultaneously. read more

The office is nice and clean. This does not make up for their office having to reschedule every single pregnancy visit I made. They would call as late as the morning of a 10am appointment and have an automated 8am system leave me a voicemail. Extremely unprofessional or understaffed, who knows?!. This Created so many problems with my job scheduling. The don't value your time as a customer. Assistants were very rude when I asked for notes about pregnancy related discomfort to provide my job they acted like they had to go through so much trouble. I ended up switching to OBGYN offices during my 27th week because they tried to reschedule me AGAIN and I had enough. However, at 1pm, on the same day as my appointment, the office assistant calls me to let me know that my appointment was being cancelled and I would have to reschedule. Then she also asks, did you get the automated voice message about your appointment, which I never did. Needless to say, I ended up switching my obgyn. They don't value your time and will cancel your appointment at any given time with no appropriate notice. I have been a patient here for years. Dr Leslie is wonderful however her nurse is horrible. She refuses to take proper care of patients. The nurse called me a month ago concerning a procedure she said I had to get done. She advised me that I would hear from her again by the following week. I Never heard from her again . I made numerous attempts to reach her . I left messages. Still no call back. The front desk has no idea because the nurse named Myra is suppose to handle. Who knows if I was given the right name. I tried. I really tried to give this practice a chance. I have been going to Dr Leslie for almost 5 years. I was always annoyed with the long wait time to get an appointment. Then the long time waiting in the actual waiting room. I dealt with all of that, thinking "this much be a great practice for all of these women to come here!" I was wrong. I had to have a series of surgical procedures. Afterwards, no follow up from the office for weeks. Then, I starting feeling unwell and called to be seen immediately, I left a message and no one ever called me back. Long story short, I never got seen and ended up being admitted to hospital with a bad infection. The ER called the office and told them what happened and they still neglected to follow up with me. I had a full gamut of tests ran on me at the hospital and some of the findings were unsettling. I finally saw Dr Leslie a week after I was discharged and she seemed unconcerned. I can't do it any more. Every woman deserves to have an OB she can trust. You will not find that here. read more

I am literally sitting in the waiting room right now. It's been 40 minutes and no one has told me anything. I am here for my six week check up. It's been a disappointing experience. They are hardly ever on time. They have four docs on staff and none were avail. When I delivered my son. Some doc I had never seen actually was on call. They never followed up to see how the delivery went and when I called about an infection from breastfeedibg the nurse never called me back. And they have had to cancel several of my appointments but they let me get al the way to the office and then tell me. I'm done with them. Their only saving grace is dr. Leslie and doc let. 5 years ago Dr. Leslie delivered my son and i couldn't be happier with the treatment I received. It was a no brainer for me when I found out I was expecting again that I would come back. Worst mistake ever. Every pregnancy appointment I made has been canceled or rescheduled, sometimes with less than 24hrs notice. I never got to see Dr. Leslie or Dr. Brown unless they were on call with Labor and Delivery. Calling their office to speak to the front desk is a pain because I'm put on a continuous loop with the automated call system. I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and I called to discuss some discomfort I am noticing with a doctor or nurse and I was told by the front desk that "no one is here except for Tia but you can go to patient first or urgent care..." I'm tired and I wish I would have known that they had gone down hill before I signed on with them again. I will not recommend them to anyone else. read more

I wish that the Doctors knew what was going on with their front office and support staff. I really like the Dr.'s but cannot deal with the incompetence of the office. They NEVER answer the phone, are terrible with following up after your appointment, have poor bedside manner and are constantly rushing through visits, yet they make you wait an extraordinarily long time to be seen during your visit. I waited a year to write this review because I struggled with the negative impact it would have on this minority owned business. However after several conversations with my girlfriends one of whom referred me to office, I decided to move forward with my review because I would not want anyone to go through what I went through. September 28, 2015 I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy done by by Dr. Groves (who no longer works there), perhaps it was my fault not to examine other options but this recommendation was made to me after 3 visits and several tests. The day of the surgery went well, 3 days after being released I began bleeding profusely for a few minutes then it would stop. I called the office and each time I was told while not normal it was likely a by-product of the surgery. By the 5th episode I demanded to come in an be seen, I went and was not taken seriously--I was seen by Dr. Leslie who rushed through her examination and sent me home. (not only was there this pouring out of blood there was a foul odor). I went home and came back in a 2nd time two days later, this time I was seen by Dr. Groves who was puzzled by the amount of blood but still sent me home. It occurred again, my mother (who had been my at home nurse) saw it with her own eyes and absolutely panicked. She said get in the car we are going to the ER, the closest ER was Med Star at Southern MD--I did not want to go there because the original surgery was done in Annapolis. My mom said "you are not going to bleed out driving all the way out there".. so Southern Md saw me, the treating GYN said given the amount of blood--we need to go back in and take a look...I had 2nd surgery that night where they found the stitches had dissolved. I am not sure if it was the quality of the material used or the application. What I do know is if one of First Premiers doctors had taken it seriously I would not have had to suffer in the manner I did. Fast forward, against my better judgement I returned again and saw Dr. Lett because I went to the ER and they found a mass. Dr. Lett's first recommendation was surgery. I thought yeah no--this office will not do any more surgery on me. I ended up getting a second opinion and was told that based on the surgery this was a routine build-up and to give it a few weeks and get a second sono to see if the mass deteriorated on its own. I followed orders and awaited..the 2nd doctor was correct the mass which was hemorrhagic deteriorated on its own. I will end with this the same week the 2nd doctor told me that the mass deteriorated was the same week I got a call from the nurse at Premier to schedule my surgery. I wonder what they would have removed since there was nothing there. Also there are only 2 board certified doctors at Premier OB-GYN-- check the "Our Clinicians" page on their website.
