Perhaps 7 years ago, we had Premier Mobility install a chairlift in our disabled mother's house. They ran way over schedule, and somewhat over budget, for reasons that we had no choice but to accept, although we felt that the extras were very predictable, and the original estimate should have allowed for them. Our mother died before she could use the lift, and, after very superficial condolences, PM immediately started harrassing us for the final installment of their bill. We asked for an estimate to take back the unused equipment, and were offered about 8% of the amount we had paid, despite the fact that the lift contains numerous standard parts.
