What a wonderful experience! Was treated politely on the phone, given perfect directions. Once I…read moregot there, only waited 10 minutes, then my car was in and out in 15 minutes as promised. They even asked if I wanted a chair moved outside to sit in the sun (it was a beautiful day)..... I almost had to pinch myself because I couldn't believe I was getting such great treatment at an automotive shop. (Used to mechanics going CHA-CHING when they see or hear a female with a car repair question, thus inflating the price by 200%.)
Anyway, thanks to my new roommate, I also had a Pennysaver coupon, so I paid $26.00 total out the door. (Beware of other shops that quote a price and then also tack on other fees like the $8.25 cert.)
If you threw away your Pennysaver, do not fear. Go to the website and there's a coupon you can print from there.
I have used Yelp to help me make decisions in the past, but felt the need to join as a reviewer after this good experience. This is a newer, small business, and I like to patronize the little guy who offers outstanding products or services, and excellent customer service.
Please Note:
1) I googled, and yelped. Should have just yelped because I got idiots quoting me as high as $56.00, $45.00 off the google searches. One guy kept changing the price downward as I was rolling my eyes...... needless to say, even if he'd gotten down to $30.00 I wouldn't have taken the car to Mr. No Credibility/Crazy Idiot Mechanic Guy since there was no semblance of trust at all. Most were in the $40.00 range, but I knew I could get it for $30. Ended up even better than that!
2) If you're a girl, make sure you have a Go To Car Guy friend or relative. If something doesn't sound right, run it past your Car Guy Expert. If you don't have someone knowledgeable to turn to, getting a "Check Engine Light Code Reader" is helpful. This is a diagnostic tool used by mechanics to troubleshoot what's wrong with your car.
I love gadgets, so I bought mine on sale at Autozone.
