After a major airline cancelled our flight, I stayed at Premiere Inn before flying out the next morning. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy (a lot more than the corporate airline character did). It was a warm welcome to be treated with kindness, compassion, and humanity after our dehumanizing airline experience.
The meal provided in the hotel restaurant was more than adequate. I am gluten-free and they accommodated my requests seamlessly. The wine on offer was decent too. It was all served with a smile and swiftly (without feeling rushed).
The room we had was a decent size and for a chain hotel I was impressed with the comfort: a nice settee and ample room for two. While lacking character it made up for in cleanliness. More toiletries would be nice but I am noticing a trend in hotels in general to skimp on things like conditioner, body lotions, iron in the room, and even a minibar.
