This Premier Inn is billed as Oxford South (Didcot) just off the A34 near Milton Park.
Rooms are similar in style to a Holiday Inn Express, but the attention to detail and general staff attitude is poor. Despite the smoke free billing of the hotel, the downstairs corridor didn't smell pleasant and even after leaving my bedroom window open for the 3 days I was there the room still smelled of smoke.
When the soap ran out in the bathroom, the hotel staff's attitude was just to tell me that they had supply problems and didn't know if they would be able to replace it.
There is a bar & restaurant on-site called the Apple Cart. The place is pleasantly decorated and the food and drink were reasonably good and good value, although service was poor.
Overall the hotel is cheap and cheerful: there is ample parking and the rooms are only around £53-65 per night, the cooked breakfast represents good value for an extra £7.50. But if you are expecting a pleasant room and customer care better go elsewhere. read more
