The only drawback for me personally is that sterile feel. The service is polite and helpful and we didnt have any problems here. Just over the road is the supremely ugly Galleria shopping centre, which has got a few resteraunts in it and a load of outlet shops and a cinema. Just look out for the local teenage urchins hanging around! It's local to the university if you need somewhere to stay if visiting a student. The new police station is just round the corner if that is the kind of thing you look for when considering a hotel!

This hotel is the farthest of 4 hotels from the airport, but is still about a 10 minute walk away. There is a sidewalk the entire way to the airport. If you travel in from London, you can take a couple trains down and the ticket should include a shuttle transfer to the holiday inn about half a mile away. The rooms are small - I stayed in a double room. Everything was functional - the shower was hot, the sheets were clean, and the bed was comfortable. For $30-40 I don't think you will much better. The close proximity to the airport as well as the ease of getting here from London makes this a great place to stay for an early Ryanair flight the next morning!

There is a nice enclosed paved area away from the main street, and private car parking at the rear accessible from Vicarage Road at the rear. The best thing about this particular travel inn, is that it's situation on Priory Marina, a beautiful lake with an abundance of wildlife! it's a lovely tranquil place where you can take a walk, or even hire a boat and have a little jaunt on the lake. Not only do you have the advantage of the lake, you're also very near to the town centre, it's about a 20 minute walk away. You're also close to the river, which again, is lovely for a brisk stroll.
