He also emphasized that he was the "cheapest," which initially seemed like a benefit -- but unfortunately, the quality of work reflects that. The fence installation was not completed to a professional standard. There is inconsistent spacing between pickets, visible gaps in areas that were supposed to provide privacy, and multiple sections that appear patched together with random pieces instead of being installed cleanly and uniformly. There is also a significant gap under the fence that was never addressed, which should have been handled during installation. In addition, debris and trash were left behind outside the fence, and the job site was not cleaned up. Items that were discussed and agreed on -- including the top border trim -- were not completed. I was told these items would be finished and waited for a follow-up visit, but after most of the payment had already been made, the remaining work was not completed. When I raised concerns, communication became dismissive, and instead of addressing the quality issues, I was told to hire someone else. Overall, the work feels rushed and unfinished, and I will need to hire someone else to correct and complete it. If you're considering hiring, I strongly recommend confirming all details in writing, holding final payment until everything is fully completed, and closely reviewing the quality of work. Kevin McGrath and his entire team did an excellent job from beginning to end. He responded to my initial request for a quote within an hour and set an appointment and showed up on time. He had a quote back to me within hours. I requested quotes from five other builders, one never called me back one schedule appointment but never showed and three came out to do a walk over to provide a quote. One quote was more expensive by a third the other was competitive but took three days to provide me the pricing after I had to request two additional times and one to this day still hasn't provided a quote, I guess there is such a thing as having too much business. The competitive bid and the absolute excellence in customer service Kevin showed is the reason I went with him. The results I got in my product is second to none. My covered patio turned out better than I could have a dreamed. On time and on budget!
