He was on the phone with another customer while I was waiting, and he was very impatient with that person. He appeared to be in a bad mood and frustrated that he had to come out from behind the counter and help me. I asked if he could come outside and show me which of the two AC ports on my vehicle I should hook up that can of Freon to, he stated we're not mechanics and we're not gonna do it for you. Tried to explain to him that I am perfectly capable of reading the directions on the can and following them, I just need to know which port on my vehicle I'm supposed to hook it up to. He didn't want to listen to what I was saying, and walked away from me and went behind the counter. Congratulations on losing a sale AutoZone! I went 400 feet across the street to O'Reilly auto parts where they were extremely helpful and friendly, listened to exactly what I was asking them, and came out to my vehicle and pointed to the correct port for me. I HAD been a AutoZone customer for years, I guess I'm an O'Reilly customer now!!

I will NEVER go there again and I don't recommend them to anyone else either , particularly if you're not car savvy , they'll have you thinking your car needs a bunch of repairs it really doesn't.

What followed has been one of the most frustrating, dishonest, and financially predatory experiences we have ever had with any business. After a compression test, their own technician's notes confirmed that the issue was isolated to one bank of cylinders, consistent with a head gasket or cylinder head failure on the left/passenger side. Despite that, Reliance presented us with three repair scenarios: a full engine replacement quoted at over $36,000, a full injector rebuild at over $28,000, and a cylinder head repair at over $16,700. The first two scenarios are not even supported by their own diagnostic data. Bank 1 tested completely normal. Yet they pushed a full engine replacement anyway. The billing itself tells an even worse story. They billed 12 hours for cab removal, a job that industry standard puts at 2 to 4 hours. They charged labor rates of $150 to $179 per hour when the market rate for diesel shops in this area runs $95 to $125 per hour. Parts were billed at full OEM retail with zero disclosure of the standard wholesale discounts dealers receive. And teardown labor was presented as the primary cost without ever disclosing the separate reassembly charge of over $6,300, a tactic that deliberately obscures the true total. Our own independent cost analysis, supported by industry labor standards, puts the fair market value of the appropriate repair between $3,000 and $6,000. Reliance is quoting over $16,700 for that same scope, and had we not pushed back, they would have had us signing off on over $36,000 for an engine replacement that the diagnostic data does not even support. Do not bring your vehicle here without doing your homework first. Get everything in writing, get a second opinion before authorizing anything, and know your rights under the Texas DTPA. We trusted a dealership to be straight with us and instead received inflated hours, unjustified repair scopes, and a truck that has been sitting in their shop for almost a year with no resolution. Reliance had every opportunity to do right by us. They chose not to.

I was comparing with another truck and from Dallas and they warned me about this dealership. Dallas dealership showed me the car fax on how this truck at reliance was in an accident and had ti be towed. This was after David told me on a previous conversation that it was clean no accidents. I don't agree with the business practices of the Dallas dealership that will remain nameless but appreciate the heads up. Be careful who you do business with and do you research!

His boss, JJ, was made aware of this and they did not fire the employee after he ordered Pizza Hut and was delivered around 9:30pm. This was a couple of years ago. I brought my truck in for the $125 A/C diagnostic service to find out why my A/C wasn't blowing…read morecold. After a few hours of diagnosing they determined nothing was wrong with my AC and told me the TIPM had a solid state relay that wasn't sending power to my AC compressor. so, they could replace the TIPM and reprogram my truck, but since I have a tune and a delete, I wasn't interested in any computer modulating. They agreed to wire me a switch to keep the truck the way it is but to bypass the TIPM relay. After them wiring the truck (after the fuse but before the relay) they charged me 500 bucks and I went on my way....... But the truck AC still didn't work when I picked it up. So I called them and brought it back. They pulled another vacuum, recharged it with UV dye, and called me back with a completely recharged and functioning (ICE COLD) AC system free of charge. When I turn the switch off in the truck, the compressor stops and it quits blowing cold and when I flip it, it turns back on and runs beautifully. They explained every thing thoroughly, fixed their mistake the second time for free, and were professional and quick to work with. I highly recommend for any type of work. Obviously wiring a random switch is pretty custom and not just a part swap. Thank you Howarton Automotive.
