Ms. Terese Frieson was patient and more than helpful with everything we needed to continue to run our business smoothly! She answered all of our questions and let me know about the promotion for the month of June! I just might have to open a personal account because of her excellent business acumen! I would definitely recommend Delta Community Credit Union!

I am writing because one policy I encountered had a direct and unnecessary negative financial impact on DCCU, and I hope senior leadership will review it. A few years ago, my father passed away with a DCCU checking account, savings account, and a $30k personal loan. The account balances were minimal, and I was prepared to pay off the remaining loan promptly from his estate. His estate was held in a trust specifically to avoid probate. I was the trustee and executor, with full legal authority to access estate funds and pay outstanding debts. When I contacted DCCU to obtain the loan payoff balance and payment address, I was told that DCCU would not even discuss the loan unless the estate went through probate. This requirement made no legal or practical sense. A trust exists precisely to avoid probate, which is expensive and time-consuming. Requiring probate defeats the purpose of the trust and places an unnecessary burden on the estate. As a result, DCCU effectively refused to allow me to pay off the loan. I was told I would need to spend thousands of dollars going to court simply to be authorized to pay a debt--before DCCU would even tell me how much was owed. Faced with that situation, I chose not to pursue probate, and the loan was ultimately treated as bad debt. This outcome was entirely avoidable and financially harmful to DCCU. I was willing and able to pay the loan in full immediately. For comparison, I contacted two other financial institutions where I currently have personal loans. Both confirmed they would provide payoff information to an executor or trustee upon presentation of proper documentation. DCCU is the only institution I have encountered that requires probate solely to allow a loan to be paid. I hope this explanation makes clear that the issue is not confusion about roles or documentation, but a policy that prevents legitimate estates from settling debts efficiently. I encourage DCCU leadership to review and update this policy so that loans can be paid by trustees or executors without requiring probate when a valid trust is in place. This change would benefit both DCCU and its members. It would prevent unnecessary loan losses and ensure that, when I pass away, any debts I have with DCCU can be settled quickly and responsibly by my estate--without forcing my beneficiaries into court proceedings that trusts are specifically designed to avoid.

Then I have to call in and every time I get a different reason why it fails. I had to call twice to get my transfer limit raised (and it still doesn't work). This last time I was told the other account had a limit on receiving money transfers. What other bank do you know has limits on account to account transfers for business accounts? This is ridiculous. And not one customer representative can help!

I have been a member for nearly 10 years and up until 2026 I never had any issues. Since 2026, my account has been affected by fraudulent activity 3-4 times, with the most recent being 4/21/26. on this particular scam, my online account was hacked, they used Zelle to send themselves money 15x and changed my password. I called customer service on 4/22/26 once I realized it was a scam and I couldn't get into my account. I was instructed by a manager to go into a branch, close my old accounts, open new accounts, fill out a form explaining everything and wait for the investigation. on 4/29/26 the investigation was completed and it said it was found to be fraudulent and the charges were returned. However, my Zelle account was not reinstated. I called customer support on 4/30/26 spoke to the manager of the Zelle department who said and I quote, "it was your fault the account was compromised and it we didn't see anything that showed that the transactions were fraudulent but we took a loss and gave you your money back. as a result it's to risky to reinstate your Zelle." Um, excuse me? how is it my fault that someone hacked into my account, changed my password essentially locking me out of my account, and sent themselves money via Zelle. yet I gave no permission then did everything YALL told me to do then refuse me a service you offer to every other member regardless of safety risk. And if there was no fraudulent activity found, why did I get a refund and why did the investigation say there wasn't? I conduct business through Zelle and without access to Zelle this makes my account absolutely pointless! I will close my accounts AGAIN and find a bank that actually values it's customers.
