I purchased $5,718.58 worth of items from Premier Auction Galleries back in November of 2025. I paid the shipping fees for movers to deliver all items to Aberdeen, MS. They neglected to pack the American Federal Period Mahogany Breakfast Table, but said they would deliver it the next time they came down South. It's been 7 months. Live Auctioneers's customer service was prompt in responding and reached out to Premier who told them they would contact me to discuss the matter, but no one has bothered. I'm extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism and total disregard. If they've sold the table again then I would appreciate a reimbursement for the money that I paid. This is the worst auction house I have ever dealt with. Made a payment for a lot that I won several months ago and never received the item. Was not contacted at all and never once were any of my many emails returned. This auction house has my money and my items. Anyone buying online must rely on the auctioneer to correctly describe the merchandise. Buyer beware if relying on this place for accuracy. I recently purchased a "19th Century American Country Step back Cupboard". They also said "the glass is replaced with plexiglass". This was their description. I get it home, start looking closely, and realize it's a recent reproduction. I sent Premier an email the same day, no reply. I'm sure they would refer me to some "buyer beware" language in their auction listing. So, if you rely on their description...good luck. read more

Jesse Mathews must LOVE leaving people hanging. Like the review ^^^^, I had a similar experience. Jesse Mathews did NOT return my phone calls. I am an online auction bidder and recently dealt with Premier Auction Galleries LLC. My experience was horrible. The gentleman who delivers my items contacted Jesse Mathews a few days before picking up the furniture and Jesse never answered the calls. Calls were made to his business and no answer. Needless to say, my chairs could not be picked up. I called Jesse Mathews numerous times and he finally answered. Jesse PROMISED he would "look into" shipping my chairs with one of his vendors. Nothing happened. Jesse promised to pay the difference in shipping costs if I scheduled with another delivery company. I found a reasonably priced shipping company and when I contacted Jesse re our conversation to "pick up the difference in cost," Jesse mentioned he would only pay $75. Here we are a week or two later and I still have NOT received what he promised. I will NEVER deal with this auction company again. Please think twice before bidding with this company. Jesse is UNPROFESSIONAL and did not keep his promise on his word. read more

I purchased a lot on Sunday, promptly received an invoice including a reasonable shipping charge, and received my items on Wednesday--very well packed. I have dealt with a lot of auction houses, and this efficiency is unlike anything I have encountered. Typically, it takes days to get an invoice and days longer to arrange payment and shipping--and the shipment cost is usually a rip-off! Add to that, the buyer's premium was lower than is typical. I have purchased several items both online and in person from Premier and have been fully satisfied in every case. Fair, honest and professional. More importantly, I have consigned more than two dozen items and enjoyed quick payment of the fair prices he was able to obtain for me. My calls were promptly returned and on two occasions Jesse called me to make sure that the items I consigned were accurately described at sale time. I am consigning about twenty moderately valuable antiques to Premier today - looking forward to another good experience. The other two reviews are somewhat surprising, not even close to my personal dealings - did his helpers/staff drop the ball on those occasions? Auction house cheats! I recently bid on line and won an expensive item from Premier Auction Galleries. When it arrived in the mail, I discovered that almost all of it had damage that was not mentioned in the description and there were also major pieces missing that could not be noticed in the photos like the entire bottom half of a silver enamel box. I am not talking about a couple minor details that one might expect with vintage or antique merchandise, I am talking about this lot being in a condition where if they had described all of its flaws like the big auction houses do, it would not have even made its opening bid. Basically, this auction company is selling online to buyers who cannot see the items in person and when you try and return it, they refer you to their "small print" which says it is my responsibility to ask if an item is damaged. This becomes a clever numbers game that works out in their favor as most people will just go ahead and trust the auction company for Full Disclosure. When I called Premier Auction Galleries to inform them of the damage and missing pieces, the owner himself told me that I should expect damage with old merchandise, "I thought to myself, are you kidding me", he then told me that I could return it but would have to pay the buyers premium. Again, "are you kidding me"!? Thankfully, I paid with Paypal and opened a case where it took 2 weeks to get my money back and I am out the cost of the return shipping. The sad part is that they never even apologized once for the inconvenience this whole thing has caused me like not returning any of my calls and not releasing the funds in Paypal which I had to wait a full 10 days for it to close which was just today and Premier Auction Galleries has had their merchandise back for almost a week now. I drove all the way from Indianapolis to Chagrin Falls to clean out my dad's house after he passed away last month. I explained the situation and told them I was coming all the way from Indianapolis. They promised they'd be there Monday morning and would call first. Four phone calls and over 24 hours later, they still hadn't shown up nor returned any phone calls. So I finally had to drive all the way back home to Indianapolis without getting the job done. Now I have to drive another twelve hours round trip and spend another $120 on the gas alone to go out there again and find someone reputable. I will also lose several days in the process, and I haven't the slightest idea where I'm going to find them. As it was, I really had to juggle my calendar around to get a few days together where I could make the trip in the first place.. Now I not only have to catch up on all that I had to put on the back burner to get out there, I have to do it all over again! If something came up that kept them from keeping our appointment, I can understand that. To not even return a phone call or give me a heads up so I could scramble to find someone else is inexcusable. I would not give this outfit the time of day. read more
