We left in the van and about halfway to temple I had to use restroom and I asked driver to stop at service station to use the restroom. Not even a few minutes later i recieved a call from HR coornator and she asked what happened. I explained the situation and then i was told I was terminated because a client was in the van when i asked the driver to go there. There is way a person cannot hold up using restroom even if you have clients in a vehicle with you especially making long drives to transport a clients to their appointments. I was wrongfully terminated. We are not robots where we do not have to use restroom. We are human and people needs to use restrooms especially on long drives. I request that policy about restrooms needs to be modified for those who have issues

I had already booked a medical transfer with Thrive for the original location, and I panicked. When my driver arrived, a little early, I explained to him that my appointment was not on W. 34th St. in Austin, but way up in Round Rock instead. On the spot the Thrive driver said, 'no problem', made the adjustments and got me to the further location ON TIME. And this was during morning rush hour without speeding like crazy (we were lucky with the traffic). My driver had been a professional driver for a few years, and he was very skillful. The car he arrived in was a very nice new Toyota XLE. Until this experience my track record hiring medical transfer people was pretty dismal. These people at Thrive are 'of service' and into helping people, and they were not expensive at all, unlike so many other medical transfer companies. Bricella, one of the owners, even answers the phone when you call--what a concept! This is my first and at this point my only experience with Thrive, and I look forward to hiring them again. The appointment took all of 10 minutes. The patient had been sitting in the lobby for a very long time afterward, so I called Mike to tell him to come get the patient. Mike said they were planning on picking him up at 11am. It was obvious to anyone that this man was not feeling well and our cold lobby is probably the last place he wanted to be. Despite husband's Immobility and frailness, David managed to get him in the wheelchair and delivered him to the home. Great service! But on the return, another younger driver refused to help my husband to get back in bed from the wheelchair so he sat in it for an hour before his nurse arrived. They just 'dumped' him in the living room and also had a hard time getting the wheelchair up one step into the home. I understand the liability issues but their website gives the impression they will help with patients with mobility issues.
