    I have been a long time GEICO Auto Insurance customer, first with my Ford Thunderbird and now with…read moremy Lexus vehicles. Lately, over the past 12 months, GEICO appears to have taken the practice of charging people in advance of the bill due date. That is to say, you pay your 6 Month Premium off inside of 4 months and are expecting to coast for the remaining two months before renewing. GEICO sends you a bill right away within weeks wanting PAYMENT FOR EARLY START OF THE COVERAGE. When you call and speak to their customer service representatives, you get a lot of incoherent information that makes no sense but they keep pressing you for the restart of your term 1-2 months before its due to actually start. When you ask them, what happens to the funds you have paid in advance if you choose to leave, they say that they will reimburse you for the extra months paid for. However, they refuse to put it in writing via email or written letter. GEICO has always been responsive when I needed auto insurance services and I am grateful but this advanced, early billing is questionable to say the least.

Was told they can give me better rates than they're giving me now. Why wait till I'm ready to leave? To keep customers should have done it to begin with. One month later, tried to switch back, getting the run around. Need proof of residency, proof of registration. We still have our motorcycle polices with GEICO. Maybe I should rethink that.
