I saw Dr Connor for a surgical extraction. I was very nervous because I had been through several…read morebad dental appointments. He was very kind to me and had my tooth out in less than 2 minutes. I also saw him for a follow up because I wanted to make sure I was healing normally. My extraction was probably the quickest easiest and most pain free appointment I have ever had in my life. If I could rate him separately from his office I would have gave 5 stars. I took off one star, because it was upsetting to me on a day that I was already going to lose a tooth, to be made to fill out insurance info with my hands shaking and close to tears just for a woman to tell me after I already filled it out "we don't accept your insurance and we told your dentist office when we made the appointment that we weren't taking your insurance" in a not very kind tone. So after filling that out for nothing I am rifling through my purse to see if I have enough cash because nobody told me they didn't take my insurance when we spoke on the phone to confirm my appointment. I only had 200 with me so I had to put the rest on the credit card. They took my cash and then charged the 200 I paid them to my credit card also. So later when I got home with gauze in my mouth and bleeding I got a call from them and had to give them the card number again so they could credit me back. Also, while I was in the chair and before the extraction Dr Connor's assistant began to apply the numbing gel for the shot to the wrong tooth on the wrong side and that really freaked me out and made me think they planned to extract the wrong tooth but the Dr knew right away and said so, it was not his mistake at all only hers.

MALPRACTICE. NEGLIGENCE. UNETHICAL. BUSTED MY (previously healthy) JAW which is KILLING MY JAW,…read moreNECK and HEAD. PERMANENT, CONSTANTLY VERY PAINFUL INJURY. My good quality of life was shot to hell by these incompetent, uncaring frauds. UNACCEPTABLE. SHAMEFUL. You know you and your office blew it, Tyler, and wouldn't own up to it! I paid a huge price before I could get out of there! Lifelong injuries, pain and more medical issues and bills. Deceptive and experts at CYA. ---------Incompetent, insincere and haughty office "manager," Jenn, has serious issues, lies and does not care about patient health. Insults customers. Shocking how she gets away with it and shows no remorse. A fraud. -------DISHONEST, HARMFUL and DEFICIENT business/medical practices. Dental work always results in more physical problems and cost. Poor communication and explanation of procedures, risks and follow-up care. Always a new dental assistant who lacks competency. Office frequently over-charges and regularly makes last minute (even the day of) appointment changes, then, falsely shifts blame to the customer. Perform procedures w/o customer's prior knowledge of cost. Lie about cost. Complete disregard for how their incompetency and errors very negatively impact the patient. -------FAKE nice. Manipulative. NOT TRUSTWORTHY. Never take accountability or apologize for wrong-doings and excessive "mistakes." No empathy. Always trying to cover their 'you know what.' Practices like this should be reported to appropriate agencies and even sued. UNCONSCIONABLE.

I was scared of dentists for most of my life. When I finally found Dr. Phelan @ Exquisite Smiles, I…read morecouldn't have been happier. ALL the staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Procedures are explained very thoroughly, which alleviates a great deal of anxiety. Before any work is done, they go over your record, asking if there have been any changes to your health, current medications, etc. They're always asking "Are you okay?" or "Do you need anything?" or just stop when you signal to ask a question or take a breather. They never "dismiss" you and listen very carefully to anything you need to convey. (That's a HUGE plus in my book!) Compassion & quality time are first and foremost. Their finance department makes all the charges understandable and will set up the best possible payment plan for you, if that is what you need. If I could give TEN stars I would!
