I signed up online for the $30 garage door tuneup which I had seen advertised on television for 3 days in the future. I didn't receive any follow up call or text. When my appointment time arrived I waited 5 minutes and then called the office to see if my appointment was still scheduled. The receptionist confirmed it was and stated she'd have the technician call me with an updated arrival time. Jered called about 20 minutes later and stated he was on his way but he was about 40 minutes away in Minden. Jered was very nice, professional, seemed competent and experienced. He examined the door and its functioning and informed me what he observed as he was doing it. It was obvious to me that the technicians are trained and expected to upsell; however, it wasn't a hard or coercive upsell. He told me what needed immediate replacement (nothing) and what would need eventual replacement (springs, bearings, motor, and rollers) and the cost for them and which ones he could do today if so desired and which would require a later appointment. I opted just for the tuneup on my two garage doors, a double door and a single door, each for $30. I paid with credit card, but he said they also accept check but not cash. He sprayed silicone lubricant on all the roller pins and bearings, springs, and the tension wheel and bearings and he was done. read more

We needed our 2 car garage door replaced along with the small 1 car door. Precision was easy to work with, we selected the doors and Precision called whenthey were in. Making an appointment for installation was seamless and we were able to have the large door replaced first, and as we requested they would install the small door a couple of days later. The customer service representative told me that a technician would come to my house that day to do an inspection and provide me a quote on what repairs would be needed. I got a call from Jared, the technician and he told me that he was en route to Fernley. He arrived within an hour after the call. He inspected both doors and he told me about some of the parts that could fail because of wear and tear. I was given a quote for the basic springs and the heavy duty springs. I chose to go with the latter due to their more robust build. The repairs were made that day. New springs, bearings, and rollers were installed for both doors and the hinges were lubricated along with the new parts. The chain for door one was also adjusted to ensure that it operated more smoothly. In April my garage door opener went out on a Saturday. Precision was the only company to come out the next day and replace it. What's even better it was their normal cost and they understood my security concerns (door would not lock and it could be opened from the outside). No "after hour" charge up of $150 and couldn't replace it for 3-5 business days. Well Precision won my business moving forward and the other local company lost my loyalty moving forward. I am absolutely impressed with the service from Precision Garage Door of Reno. I was opening my garage door and found out that my garage spring broke. I couldn't open my garage door because it was too heavy for the opener. So I did a Google search for garage repair on a Sunday and it led me to their website. I called the number and after a few rings a live person answered the phone on a Sunday at 4:00. I mentioned my emergency situation and she explained to me that normally a service call is $29 before 6:00 PM. She informed me that a service technician will not be able to perform the service until 6-8PM and there the cost would increase to $129. She explained to me that Alex will contact me on my cell phone and inform me when he is on his way to my house. Evidently, Alex arrived before 6:00 and did not charge me the $129, but the basic service visit of $29. He replaced the spring in a timely manner and replaced all my rollers. I paid for the more durable spring that had a longer warranty and it lasts three times of a standard spring. He explained to me that the bearings are sealed on the rollers compared to what I had. When he showed me the old wheels that he removed they were very loose and the bearings were worn down. So I was glad I replaced the rollers. He even gave me a discount to only pay for 8 rollers instead of 10. Alex was very polite and answered all my questions and gave me a lesson on garage door care. I still can't believe in a 3 hour period that I had it repaired on the same day I called. Now that is service! Granted, I paid over $1000 for the repair, but I have peace of mind that my garage door will last another 15 years without any problems. The only maintenance required is to lube the hinges, axels, and spring and with silicone lubricant yearly.
