Wish I had a "before" photo. I thought our old tub would need to be ripped out. But in two short hours it now looks like this!

Fantastic job! Super professional from beginning to end. John's team even showed up an hour earlier than quoted. They worked very cleanly. Job was done in no time. HIGHLY recommend.

B4 and after...came out so beautiful.

John, the owner/manager went the extra mile when there was a miscommunication/understanding on the work being done on what type of tub.

I would strongly caution anyone considering USA Bath…read more The original work on my shower was completed in 2017 and was not done correctly. USA Bath had to return multiple times over the following years, and ultimately the entire installation had to be redone in 2019 to fix the issues. After that, things held up for several years. Fast forward to now: the silicone sealant is failing and the shower shelves are no longer stable. This is a basic repair. Instead of addressing it, USA Bath is refusing to take responsibility and is relying on a warranty technicality that was never clearly disclosed at the time of the original contract. The key issue is this: the so-called "warranty requirements," including the obligation to schedule and pay for maintenance every five years, were not provided at the time of sale. That information was only shared years later, after the project had already required a full redo. Despite this, they now claim those terms were always in place and are using that position to deny coverage. They have also not provided a copy of the original contract. If those terms had been clearly included from the beginning, there would have been no need to delay service while asking me to locate documentation. They also advertise a "lifetime warranty," but in reality, it is conditional on ongoing paid maintenance--about $300 per visit--which was never transparently communicated upfront. That is not a nominal fee, and it fundamentally changes what most customers would reasonably expect from a lifetime warranty. When asked to provide the original signed contract to support their claims, they were unable and unwilling to do so. Instead, the response was dismissive and shifted blame onto the customer. At this point, they are offering to perform the repair only if I pay their fee, while continuing to assert that they have already been "more than reasonable." Between the poor initial workmanship, the need for a full redo, the lack of transparency around warranty terms, and the unwillingness to stand behind the work without additional charges, this has been an extremely frustrating experience.

My house was built in 1962 and most of my bathroom components were original. I wanted to have both…read morebathrooms remodeled because they were both very ugly and depressing. I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for bathroom remodeling and will use them for future tile work. Thank you, Vitex! -Josh

We had our kitchen remodeled using the contractors and staff at the Sacramento Kitchen Mart…read morefacility. It's hard to know where to begin because the experience with KM is so different from that experienced with typical contractors. Communication. Typically a major frustration with contractors was in fact excellent with KM. Emails and calls were returned in a timely manner and they go to great lengths to explain the process and provide a detailed timeline. Duration of work. We had gotten estimates of 4-6 months to complete our remodel; KM was finished in a little over a month. They stuck to their schedule (despite problems that arose with suppliers) and always communicated any changes that were required. They handled all of the permitting requirements, and in Davis that is not a small task. Notable is that a KM staffer came to the house the day of final inspection and looked at the whole house for potential problems. He replaced ALL of our smoke detectors at no cost just to make sure there were no problems with the inspection. The Davis inspector was very impressed with the work and passed the job without any concerns. Quality of work. We had superb craftsmen work on our project; John and Zachary and Joe were all just excellent. They took pride in their work, showed up on time, and always communicated what they were doing. They took great pains to minimize dust and overall mess. Huge sheets of plastic were placed floor to ceiling to localize the dust and debris. Sheets of protective material were placed on the floor. Everything was done in a professional manner. The supervisor of our project, Edgar, was remarkable in watching over the project and being there whenever needed. Sourcing of materials. KM can provide pretty much everything you need with regards to cabinets, fixtures and some appliances. The quality of all materials from KM was excellent and so much more convenient than searching it out on your own. I have to add, however, that their recommended appliance source, A-1 appliance, was very disappointing. A-1 failed to order our rangetop despite it being paid for well in advance, and their installers were incompetent and rude. Our project foreman, Edgar, intervened and was a lifesaver in getting a rangetop in time to prevent a major delay, and in fixing the poor installation provided by A-1. Cost. We had many estimates for our remodel and KM was far from the highest. Their estimate was very accurate and very reasonable considering the quality of work, convenience, and the speed with which the work was done. In summary, Kitchen Mart stands way way above the pack when it comes to the often tedious and stressful process of remodeling your home. They offer a one stop solution, do superb work at a reasonable price, and complete the work in a very timely fashion. We plan to have them do our bathrooms and in fact would not consider anyone else.

So, I came up with the idea of combining two rooms into one, and creating a walk-in closet. I had no clue where to begin and finding a company to help me. I moved here from San Diego just three years ago and really didn't know anybody. So, I performed my due diligence, by reaching out to several companies, requesting a quote. However, no one but Andrey responded. And, I am forever grateful that he was the only one to respond! Coastal Region Construction is TOP NOTCH! There are not enough words for me to describe how happy I am! They say a picture is worth 1000 words. Take a look at my before and after pictures, which also includes the builder's floor plan. Andrey instantly saw my vision and made himself available to come by the property and provide me with a quote the next day! From beginning to end, my experience was amazing! Every employee at this company is hard working. Every employee at this company is professional. They started as early as I would allow and stayed as long as I would allow. Nothing was too difficult for them to handle. Coastal Region Construction has earned my business forever. These days, it is hard to find an honest and professional company, who understands the importance of time management. I have heard horror stories of how contractors will over promise and under deliver. Not this company! You will get a fair budget, quality work, done in a timely manner! If you've read any of my reviews in the past, you know that I am a fan of small businesses. I categorically recommend this company for any of your home construction needs. Please give them a call. You will not be disappointed. I also encourage you to remember to write a review so that they can earn more business along the way. I now have the perfect floor plan for me and my parents. And, I am overjoyed with the end result.

I spent weeks interviewing over 20 contractors comparing prices, scheduling, and communication. Andrey and his team came out top in every way. He provided us multiple bids to help us narrow our scope, fair pricing, and excellent communication so we could begin as soon as we were ready. On top of Andrey, I'd like to shoutout Alex, Nick, Nicholas, and Ruben, who were friendly and professional. We lived through this remodel, and at the end of every day, they cleaned and left our home in great condition so it did not feel like living through a construction zone. I also asked a million questions and they were polite and accommodating with every answer. This was our first remodel, and what is normally a daunting task was smooth because of Coastal Region Construction. I am grateful to them for making our house, a home.

So, it's that time in our lives that we are looking to start the money pit aka kitchen renovation…read more We've been in our house for a few years now, we're finally settled, paid off our cars so we have a few extra bucks. IKEA was the first place we thought of for inspiration. We were surprised at the color scheme we looked at and liked. We were attracted to the blue cabinets or the olive green cabinets as they would look good with our dark floors. An ask for countertops, I don't want lament as it won't hold it's shape. I like the glass composite countertops as they look more sturdy. We were surprised that they sell stoves, ovens, and microwaves. We thought they would be dummy's like the TVs are. I question the quality and longevity of IKEAs kitchens. They mostly show the lament kitchen tops. It's much cheaper then the composite glass, but I doubt they will last as long. I found the sink style I like. We have water outflow issues with our sink and facet, so I found a set in sink that I liked, no lip that goes over the countertops. With the countertops questionable longevity, now I question the cupboards quality and longevity. You have to give them props for being reusable price, I just don't want it to wear out. In the end we are thinking that the cost will be around $15,000 including instulation. I'm thinking more like $20,000 as things always cost more than you expect them to. Our next stop will be local hardware stores to check out their offerings. We really like IKEA's set up and displays. They are so realistic with the walls and all, it makes you feel like you are walking into a real kitchen unlike the hardware stores where you are just looking at the counties tops and cupboards. One things we observed with IKEA is they have lots of stark white cabinets. They brighten the room, but stark white against dark brown floors woudld be doo much of a contrast. And reminds me of the black and white high contrast baby books they make for tummy time. A little too contrasty for me. So, here we are looking at an investment as ours is still functional so there really isn't a rush. My husband has a point, let's spread out our large purchases over the years and not do everything at once. This year will possibly be the kitchen. Next year will be painting the house. And there is a good possibility of doing the ac and heating units. Last month was the fridge. And a few years back it was the washer and a few months after that it was the dryer. So in the end everything is pretty much spread out. Oh, don't forget the dishwasher and around 5 years ago it was the dishwasher and hot tub. The good news we're not in debt.

Maze of displays and merchandise of furniture (for every room), shelving, lighting, houseware, storage, linens, towels, rugs, live plants, art, curtains, cutlery, and Swedish snacks. But I don't go on the weekends. That's when it's full throttle crowded. My last shopping experience was on a recent late weekday afternoon. Before I go into the not so great moments, let me tell you the great stuff. The cafeteria food server was terrific. A lot of indecisive folks ordering good and asking questions, she handled it like a pro and kept the line moving. The cashier assisting at the first floor self check out was super helpful. Most of the furniture is made of sustainable materials and cheaply priced. Heck the majority of the furniture in my home is from IKEA. If hauling and assembling your own furniture is not your thing, keep in mind they offer assembly and delivery for additional costs. I've done both. You can check inventory quantity and the aisle and bin # location of furniture items on their website. Not so great: On my visit, the restrooms on the second floor, next to the cafeteria, were in awful shape. They changed the restrooms to multiple toilet rooms with motion activated low flow flush toilets. I encountered horrible bathroom toilet visuals. I went into 4 vacant toilet closets to get one without a #2. Grody! Then the toilet did not flush, there is no bypass button. Purely just motion activated that was not working. IKEA- for goodness sake, go back to the drawing board on these toilets. Also the cafeteria was low on several food items and ran out of coffee. Surprisingly since it was around 4pm, nearing early bird dinner time. Maybe a good thing considering the toilet situation. But not great when you paid for a cup of coffee and waited over 20 minutes. I was assured by the cashier, when paying for a coffee, that it won't take long to brew a fresh batch. Possibly staff can monitor the coffee. Plus I didn't understand why the cafeteria cashier letting line cutters in. He allowed a customer to cut the queue to purchase a drink. I didn't say anything to either the cashier or customer. But my opinion is that the customer go through the queue and get in line behind the others; bypassing the hot food line makes sense but not the line of folks queuing up to pay.

It included tearing out the old tile and Sheetrock down to the studs, installing concrete backer, moisture barrier and new tile. There were a couple of unforeseen issues that came up that necessitated a couple of change orders. This is where some contractors take the opportunity to price gouge. I felt that Voss's change order prices were fair. The finished product came out great. Now for the bad: We got a quote for installing new slides on the drawers and soft close hinges on the doors in the bathroom cabinet. The drawers had to be narrowed to accommodate the slides. Then they had to be made shallower to fit over the slides. It was at that point that Voss discovered the drawers wouldn't fit due to the framing of the cabinet. The end result is that the drawers are unusable, don't work and the modifications are irrreversable. So we paid $650 for a cabinet that is unusable. We are now faced with more expense to make it right. That includes possibly having to replace the entire cabinet. I believe the cabinet project was outside of Voss's skillset. He should have anticipated some of the issues that would arise. I would rate the tile project 5 stars and the cabinet project 0 stars. I have included some photos of the cabinet.
