Per my insurance company, it is on the same tab in Availity - Providers- TriWest; when you submit the referrals (as the provider). Only a referral was made and PT requires both. So now it still needs to be submitted but now they are saying my PCP needs to. This was the same way in east region (now west for Texas) so I don't know why this is like a new thing to them with authorizations. They worked me into rehab in the meantime which is nice; when I called they wouldn't do that without charging me per visit out of pocket. Excellent bed side manner & office room style. My ankle Dr , is a whole other story. 1st he told me the swelling in my ankles is because I need a diuretic, that I'm retaining way too much water. I felt as if he wanted to tell I was fat but didn't. He told me to see my reg physician & sent me for an mri. My reg physician said no this is swelling do to injury in both ankles because the other is compensating for supporting the bad one. If you were retaining water it would be all over not just in your ankles. Back to see ankles Dr, tell him what she said, he disagrees then looks at the mri & says there is cartilage discernment, but nothing he could do would help the swelling because of the water retention. SMH. He gave me a shot in my ankle & said come back in a month 1/2

The nurse told me my previous records were gone as they switched to a different system called Athena (I believe medical record retention is 7 years, and my records were from 2023 and 2024). They did an xray of the wrong area today. I also forgot to mention that I heard the nurse complaining about me from the hallway, which is completely unprofessional. When I asked the front desk if they would accept a patient who was 45 minutes late, they said they don't even allow someone who's 15 minutes late. Yet somehow, it's fine for them to make us wait endlessly. That's not just inconsiderate -- it's disrespectful. I understand that some patients take longer than expected, but this level of delay and poor communication shows zero respect for the people waiting. Doctors expect patients to value their time, but clearly don't value ours. Completely unprofessional. Precision needs to do much better.
