When I got there I was told to come back in two hours because they were busy. Not too Speedy, but no problem. Two hours later, when I brought the car back I was told they would need it for 30 minutes. I left it with them for 40 minutes and when I returned I was ignored for another 10 minutes. When it finally came time to pay, the total was $72 bucks. I've had 5 similar repairs done in the last year and the prices have been between $25-$40. I've never heard of such a stupid price for a rock chip repair. They happily took my email address and told me I would be asked to take a company survey. They insisted on knowing how they would be rated by me and told me that any score less than 8 counts as a failure for them. I indicated that it would not go that well for them. As his fingers returned to the keyboard, I suspected that my email address was being deleted. No surprise then, that I never did receive the survey. If this is typical of the service that Speedy provides (slow and expensive), I highly recommend avoiding them. There are way too many other companies that are eager to get business and treat their customers fairly and with respect.

I thought that was a great price as I had paid far more years earlier. Then I got a quote from MasterGlass at 50% of that price. My son in law recommended them as he had a similar experience. They had the glass in stock at the West Kelowna shop and it was done in 45 minutes. How do they do it? They do only Autoglass. They do a bunch of them every day and get discounts directly from the manufacturer for bulk orders. There are a million Ford F250s like mine running around so these guys order a bunch of windshields at super low prices. The other guys where windshields are just part of the business buy one off orders without the discount. Highly recommended. I don't run the Coquihalla in the winter anymore so hopefully I won't need to visit them again anytime soon. But I wouldn't hesitate to do so.

UPDATE FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW…read more I spoke to Nathan a week after this happened. Yes, we dealt with a manager on that day and not the owner. Yelp did not allow me to update my review to reflect this, so let me correct it here. I was misinformed by the cleaning staff who we spoke with after the fact. I was mistakenly informed it was the owner, but was indeed a manager. On to the real point of our review. Nathan claims that we were told over the phone that they close at 1pm twice in our various calls with them. I don't recall hearing this, nor does my wife. Again, if we knew this, we would have 100% come back on time. We only arrived when we did because we thought they were still open. Nathan further claims that he has audio/video evidence of these conversations. Nathan, I will repeat to you what I said when we spoke on the phone about this a month ago. If you indeed have audio/video evidence of your manager telling us the closing time, please share it with us. We are not unreasonable people. If we are mistaken, I will gladly take down this review and apologize for the misunderstanding. However, if you can't do that, please consider accepting the fact that we were treated very poorly by your staff and act accordingly. Be well and safe.
