I had run over a 4" wood screw and it had penetrated the tread and sidewall of the tire rendering it useless. As all my remaining tires were in good shape and had many miles left on them I went looking for a similar replacement and ended up at Integra Tire . I showed them my damaged tire and asked if they could help me with a replacement and they quickly went looking for and found the exact tire with the same wear on it and offered to me for a very reasonable cost , including mounting and removal of my "Donut" spare. I have been to Integra Tire several times over the last few months. At first the mistakes I thought were minor and could be overlooked. I had a tire replaced from an accident and it continued to lose air after the repair. Turns out there was a 3 inch crack in the rim which could not have been overlooked if they had looked at the rim at all. So basically they sent me back onto the road with an unsafe wheel. Then my step-daughter had some repairs needed for her car. They quoted ridiculous prices for her repairs and gave the option of fixing it with used parts. Since money was tight for her, she went with that option. Since then I have done some checking and the repairs could have been done using new parts for the same price that they had charged for used. She had also brought her car in for an alignment in early March. Now, 3 months later, her front tires are totally undriveable due to the alignment not being done correctly. They have taken no responsibility for the alignment being done wrong and have quoted a price to replace the tires near double what she paid 6 months ago. The shop will take no responsibility for any of the errors and attempt to justify the inflated prices by saying that it is Okanagan prices and it costs more to get the parts here. I won't bring any more repairs to this location and would discourage anyone else from bringing their vehicle here. read more

Came here with a flat tire. One plus is that they were well stocked and had the special tires we needed while everyone else around didn't. We originally were aiming for replacing just the one tire (front) but the one on the other side was worn so we agreed to replace them both. That was fine and it didn't take too long to get the new tires on and going. The manager/supervisor who we talked to was nice and friendly, they also cleaned off some corrosion on the battery. Problem was when we got on the highway going back to Vancouver the steering wheel started shaking at speed. Turns out that they balanced only one of the tires! We just kept going at low speed and ended up getting it fixed at a another big-o-tire in Coquitlam (no charge). A week or so after that we noticed one of the replaced tires was loosing pressure while parked. We took it to Midas and they said there was tons of corrosion around the wheel and air was leaking out. They cleaned that rust off and it's been fine since. So it seems two critical and basic steps were done incorrectly. It took a lot of running around to correct it so I'm bordering on giving just one star. read more

If I was charging a 125.00 a hour I would be nice to. Took my vehicle in several times and had the mother computer replaced at 70,000 kilo's and the coil, plugs, wires. Then the valve cover gasket. Wasn't informed the car had a history of the timing belts going especially with low kilo's. Guess what? timing belt went, possible engine damaged. Thanks for your expertise. My husband and I were visiting the Okanagan recently. We ran over a nail and developed a flat rather quickly. The tire wouldn't make the 30 minute drive back to our hotel, let alone the 5 hour trip home to Vancouver. We googled tire shops, called around and ended up stopping in at Big O in Penticton. When we arrived, we found the entire staff, from the front office folks to the mechanics in the garage, very friendly and eager to help us. Our tire had a center lock bolt - special equipment is needed to deal with this. Despite not having this piece of equipment, the guys and gals at Big O stepped up and did what they could for us, including calling around to other local tire/automotive businesses to see if anyone could help. No such luck. Meanwhile, they helped us at least get the vehicle drive able (they used a patch kit that we had in the car, put the sealant in the tire for us and then rechecked the tire and pressure) and we were able to get back to our hotel. As well, as luck would have it, the flat occurred at the end of the day and we showed up at 20 minutes before closing time. Despite this, we never felt rushed or pressured. Such a refreshing change from Vancouver, where good customer service is often hard to find. Big O Penticton has great employees that demonstrated patience, kindness and wonderful customer service.
