Poorly maintained. Poorly run. A good number of available firing lanes are out of commission at any one time. Ventilation is poor. Employees aim pistols, rifles, and assault-style weapons out at the lanes or around the building when they are bored. Yet, the manager prevents members from wearing a single nitrile glove when loading an air pistol to prevent contact with lead because, he says, those type of gloves are used to prevent fingerprints on weapons and ammo by people practicing at the location to commit crimes. Really? So, your policy is to endanger peoples' health in order to prevent possible criminals from practicing for a crime at your location? Maybe the problem is that you allow people practicing for crimes at your location ! read more

Male employe asked him to take his gun out of his bag but employee takes it upon himself to yank it out of hands and cocks. Another older man came from the back and made rude comment as well. So this was my first time ever shooting or even holding a gun!! I've always had an interest in learning since guns are a big part of the culture here/I'd like to know how to protect myself in the future. I came here with my partner to learn and have a quirky date lol. So we were greeted immediately & told about cost to enter the range ($18/day), gun rental ($10 for revolvers/semi automatic and $40 for submachine). I picked a glock and then they had us sign a waiver. They gave us the guns disassembled, eye safety wear, and then ear muffs. [I'm glad I brought an extra paid of inner ear buds because it was so loud] What I thought was strange (and the reason for -1*) is the fact that they told us to enter and I'm like: WAIT are we not going to have a lesson on safety or anything? They said no because then it would make them liable for what happens back there in the range. Mind you, I'VE NEVER EVEN HELD A GUN BEFORE IN MY LIFE. Thankfully my partner had shot guns before so he could show me. Also side note: ammo is expensive!! Or at least right now it is because of the nationwide shortage. It cost $33 for 50 bullets for my glock. All in all I had fun!! It's not something I'd come back to often since it's pricey but it was an experience for sure. I've been there when it's crowded and when I'm the only customer. I've never had a negative experience. Employees have been courteous and professional. My suggestion to anyone visiting any range anywhere, especially an indoor range, is SAFETY FIRST. Don't worry about trying to be cool. Read the signs and the rules and comply. If you don't like a rule, go somewhere else. I know that most of their regulations are safety driven. read more

The owner of this range is hands down one of the best gun salesmen of all time. Super knowledgeable and makes you feel extremely valued as a customer. He comped my range fee the day I bought my gun and cleaned and oiled my new gun while I went to my truck to get my range bag. He even went through the trouble of helping me diagnose an issue with my current carry gun and cleaned the feed ramp. Took a concealed carry class here today. This was a long, full day course, however the instructor was very engaging and knowledgable so the time passed quickly. Todd was extremely professional (safety first always), had a broad knowledge base on all topics covered and an obvious comfort level with firearms that could only come from a lot first-hand experience and diligent research. The instructor passed around a variety of guns for students to examine, which made for a more hands-on experience. For a gun newbie like myself, this really helped to ease my jitters around firearms. Another bonus of taking the class! Again, my exposure to guns is very limited and I appreciated that Todd took extra time to work with those of us who were less experienced but didn't treat us different from the group. Overall, I learned a lot today and definitely feel more comfortable around guns in general. Looking forward to visiting the range again soon to work on my skills. read more

100% would not recommend solely for poor customer service. Bought a gun online and chose them to be my FFL dealer for the first time. I spent 45 minutes there filling out the background check paperwork over and over and over again because the boss kept finding "mistakes". I've bought two firearms before this one at different locations and written down the same "mistakes" and have never had a problem. I don't know his name, but he's an older white male with a tattoo sleeve. I think he just likes wasting peoples' time because he was completely unapologetic about unnecessarily making me redo the paperwork for almost an hour, and he kept making jokes about it, even going to the extent of visibly annoying his staff worker who kept having to hand me new copies and having to get it checked by him. read more

We went there and waited for 45 minutes one Sunday and clearly the people we were waiting on were not rushed. I've seen some pretty negative reviews about Precision on this site, but I can't really say that I agree with them. This is the only local range at which I shoot, and I get there as often as my ammo budget allows. The lanes themselves are clean, well kept, relatively well-ventilated, and in most of them you can send the target downrange without it jumping and vibrating for several minutes afterward (a pet peeve). Prices are reasonable, but not amazing; expect to spend about $20--if you bring your own ammo--for a couple targets. I've never had them set a time limit on my usage (obviously, get there before they're about to close). The only reason I'm not giving this range the full five stars is that several of the staff aren't particularly friendly. They've never been rude to me, but there are two older guys in particular that have the jerkified air of cops. Granted, it's not a place for horseplay, but a little more professionalism and openness (talk shop with me about firearms, help me fill in the gaps where I'm ignorant, etc.) would definitely be in order. It's not enough to stop me from shooting there, though, not by a longshot, but I think they'd really see an increase in their margin if they took, say, a seminar in customer service. read more

After a number of years, I came back with my son. He has a brand new S&W .40 and we wanted to get some rounds through it. Usually we would go up to our place near Centreville, MS to shoot but it was raining and rain was in the forecast. I decided to give Precision Firearms another try and I'm glad I did. The staff was attentive and kind (unlike a number of years ago) and we had a wonderful shoot. His gun started mis feeding after 2 magazines and I told him it was fortunate that it did so I could show him how to properly "unjam" the autoloader. We let it cool down a bit and shot some more rounds. I brought my old competition pistols so we weren't bored. That boy put 3 shots within one inch with my Kimber 1911... Well, I digress. When we checked out I brought up the jamming (mis-feeds) and the guy asked if the gun was new, Preston and I said, "brand new" and these were the first shots fired outside the factory. The guys (and girl, who was good too) began to explain about the model and that it needs a couple hundred rounds to break it in. If it is still mis feeding after that, get in touch with S&W. No condescending looks; they were super helpful and free with their knowledge and we *will* be back!!!!! 5 stars to the guys and girl at Precision Firearms!!!!!! Started taking my wife here to teach her how to shoot. Friendly helpful staff. Always talking safety first. Awesome. Then took the concealed carry course and Wade was our instructor. I can't say enough about how great he taught us. I learned more than I ever imagined. Highly recommend and you must make sure to have Wade and Nicole teach the course. Great first experience here. From the time I walked in until I checked out, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Goggles and protective ear muffs are required and complimentary. I would suggest wearing ear plugs as well since it is extremely loud in the range. Targets and ammo are reasonably priced. I will definitely be back. read more

I'm copying and pasting this from Facebook for visibility. While I still think Precision Firearms is a great range, I am hesitant to recommend them in the future. In the past, they have had an outstanding crew of employees that were very knowledgeable and helpful. However, the past two times I have visited, this was not the case. I had recommended Precision to a friend of mine who has been looking at purchasing a new handgun and told him to come to Precision to try a couple. Several months ago two of the employees helped me with the same thing (I think their names were John and Grant). They were very informative and taught me about the different types of pistols and pros and cons of each. When I went a couple weeks ago the new employees did not seem to be nearly as knowledgeable. I wrote it off as just a bad night or new employees in training until I visited again a few days ago. I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but the girl who seemed to be in charge for the night couldn't even explain the difference between a striker and hammer fired gun to my friend. I still plan to come to precision in the future because the range is still a good value and convenient, but the new employees need some work. I don't know what happened to the guys that used to work there, I haven't seen them for a few months, but they were outstanding. read more

My fiancé and I went into precision with little gun knowledge looking to purchase his first fun recently being 21, and the lady that helped us was awesome! I think her name was Linda, this was a few months ago! She was very patient with him, taught us all about cleaning and disassembling the handguns, and spent about 40 minutes helping him compare three glock models. We tried the 17 and 19 out and he purchased it then and there because of her service. Their gun prices are a little higher than the surrounding places but if you're going to use the range, it evens out since those fees were dropped because we purchased the gun that day. I didn't encounter any rude staff and felt very comfortable working with the woman that helped us! We will definitely go back for the range and any gun needs:) thank you! read more

It was my first time going to this range and after about 10 min of being there, I regretted stepping foot in that place due to some complete self-righteous douchebag named either Mark or Mike that was working the counter. This dipshit thought he knew more about firearms than a Delta Force operator, when in all reality, he had the knowledge and experience of someone who just started shooting for about a year. This douche bag employee was pushing the limit regarding my patience with his attitude. I decided to just leave because I could see myself getting very close to knocking the ever living shit out of this dumbass in front of my son. Very disappointed in their policy on open carrying within the store. I do have my concealed carry permit, but decided to open carry my gun in its holster, unloaded with no magazine. As I was paying I was told that next time I came I had to have the gun out with the slide locked back. Seems hypocritical for a gun store that sells guns, holsters, etc. to not allow its customers to open carry. read more

When I asked about them having 2 lanes he said yes, but they have a group of 4 and that's the limit I can let back there at one time. I posted a review about 4 months ago and the review that I gave this business reflected their poor customer service and the horrible experience that I had with the manager Mark. I am extremely happy to report that by the grace of god this business is under new management and Mark no longer works there! I made a trip their today despite my better judgement to do some shooting and surprisingly had a great experience. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant to deal with. I met the new assistant manager Jason and he was extremely nice and professional. I told him about how horrible my prior experiences with Precisions were and he apologized and informed me that they are under new Management. When I left and checked out Jason apologized for the past experiences that I had and gave me a discount before thanking me for giving them another chance. I will definitely be going back and will start shooting there again! read more

I would give no stars but had to select at least 1. Thes people are the worst to deal with. I have been waiting over a year for my suppressor paperwork & still havent recieved as they did the paperwork wrong once they finally actually did it. I have several others already in my trust & have never waited over 5 months max. They also are very unproffesional with no response to emails. There manager Elizabeth lied to me & when I called them on it they quit responding to my emails. Please use anyone but them. I have emails & all to prove this. not just posting to bad mouth them really just dont want anyone else to go through this. Do your research much better places to deal with & cheaper. read more

It seems a lot of people love giving bad ratings for whatever reason. Mine is different, I was pretty upset that the only game in town is PRECISION FIREARMS as an indoor range. But when I learned that they have a TRY Before you Buy Policy it made it AWESOME. It costs close to a Half a Million to open and run an Indoor Range but most customers don't care. On my very first visit, (Which was tainted due to it being the ONLY Range in town) I expected to see evidence of all the bad reviews here online. Boy was I wrong. The staff answered my questions and made us feel like we made the right choice to come and see them. ON a Sunday no less. I can't wait to return. Maybe they will like to start up a frequent Shooters Club with discounts for loyalty. There are a lot of Shops to buy but only one place to shoot. Being ex military, I was truly surprised that I could come back anytime during the day for free to shoot. My Fee for the range was for all day. This gave me the option that if they were very busy, I could come back later and shoot. As with some places, it is always the peer pressure to do well, but the staff offered tips and suggestions to make my wife's first time at their place a pleasure. read more
