Signed my kids up for Ninja camp on a non-school day and when they got home they told me how dissapointed they were that they had to gynmastics because the lady told them they were signed up for gymanstics and how next time their parents should be more careful when signing up. I checked my registration and it was clearly ninja so I called in and again was told I was wrong. I asked them to check again and they discovered that had made the error and I was told "that's too bad". Not exaclty the customer service I would expect when I'm paying that much. Precision elite overall is a great gymnastics place for kids but I've noticed a level one teacher in particular, Teacher Dory, is most likely the worst level one teacher at this facility. She does not demonstrate everything the kids in her class are supposed to be doing, leaving them wandering and lost half the time. She gives up on certain kids and just walks past them when they obviously need guidance. If you watch one of her classes, you'll see the kids eyes are wandering around the room half the time because she's not giving them clear instructions and keeping them interested. Do not sign your child up for Teacher Dorys level 1 class if you want them to learn anything!! They also delete reviews on their Instagram page!! read more

Tried parent night out. Kids report there's nothing fun to do while there. Kids called me within an hour (ages 9 and 12) saying it was boring and half the place is closed, they were being bullied by staff and teenage kids and they couldn't even do gymnastics on the mats or trampolines. Daughter does flips and walk overs and stuff and was told not to do gymnastics at the gymnastics place. Sad. I used to take them here a couple years ago and they loved it but they said most of the stuff they did is closed now and now it's more a place for 5-6 year olds. read more

Their "coaches" are not real. They will hire anyone off the street regardless of background, and give them the "coach" title. There's maybe 2 real gymnastics coaches in the entire building. I never signed a safety waiver which is concerning and they constantly over billed me. They billed me over $500 for the last month we attended. "Coach" dawn is a liar and singles kids out on moving up. When confronted on hearing her reasons, she refused to talk it out and when we demanded, she was fake, played stupid and asked my daughter to try again and "maybe she could level up". However my daughter was in tears and defeated. Her best friend (in the same class) couldn't do some of the things my daughter could and she moved up. This isn't a real gym...the metals on the walls are as fake as the coaches. I've done extensive research as well as reported them to the appropriate places! They will be shut down soon. My 4 year old has been talking lessons since Sept. we have had 2 different teachers and they have both been very nice. I have seen my daughter's strength/coordination improve as well as her bravery to try new things. Billing has never been an issue nor have I experienced any sort of terrible customer service. Everyone seems quite pleasant and the programs seem to run like well oiled machines. Classes start and end on time which is very important when there are so many students cycling in and out of the facility and parking lot. It does smell but there are so many barefoot and sweaty kids and teens in here day in and day out I'm not sure how that can be helped. I wish I had researched this company and read reviews before signing my kids up for summer camps and a session of gymnastics class. I have had nothing but issues, inconsistencies and snotty attitude from the staff and owner. I would think the owner of a company would value feedback from customers to improve the business, but boy am I wrong on that one, at least when it comes to Precision Elite. It brings me no joy to say she's awful and nasty. She accused me of being rude to her employee, which was just not the case. I called to communicate a few concerns and ask questions and spoke to Nicole "one of the mangers" who greeted me with nothing but snotty, fake "I'm sorry's" and excuses for un-organization and non communication to parents and about billing issues. When I asked if I could speak with someone else, she said the owner could call me back, great. When the owner called, she was even worse than Nicole. I wasn't even given the opportunity to speak my peace before I was told by her that she wouldn't allow her employees to be treated rudely (which they weren't, at least not by me) and that my family isn't a fit for her company and she took it upon herself to unenroll my son from a camp he's currently in and has 1 more day of and taken my daughter out of gymnastics with only a minor refund of the hundreds (almost $800 in total and refund is around $126), what? Literally couldn't get a word in before she told me all of this. I'm not sure what my phone call had to do with my children being made to suffer and that just speaks volumes. That a grown woman who owns her own business wouldn't even let me voice my concerns and ask questions before just throwing in the axe, is pretty immature and I think, irresponsible as an owner, but that's just me. As a business owner, I would welcome feedback to try to improve my business and yes, that sometimes comes with complaints, which she can take with a grain of salt and move on. She told me she always backs her employees or they wouldn't be her employees. It shows why they are, they are all peas in a pod and belong together, the way they treat customers with concerns, questions and feedback. Little bit dramatic of a step to take but if that's how she wants to behave and run her business, I guess that's her prerogative. Moral of this review, which I never leave, and I hate to leave bad feedback ever is, run far and fast from Precision Elite! Find another company for your children to join. The owner (I couldn't understand her name when she called me back or else I'd list it) is petty, rude, nasty to speak to and not interested in anyone's feedback but her own and her employees (who last I checked, aren't paying customers, but what do I know). I'm unsure how this woman is even still in business with an attitude like this. I truly do hope she and her staff read this and hopefully take it to heart that some changes need to be made. To treat paying customers (paying A LOT of money) and children (who have no say in any of this) like this is just a shame and I feel sorry for her that she's so miserable and enjoys making children upset. Maybe she can do some reflecting and learn how to better communicate with customers. Also maybe learn that her employees aren't always right and aren't always telling the truth. I do applaud her standing behind them, IF you know their side of the story is 100% accurate, but in this case, it just wasn't and that sucks. Good for her to back them up but again, they aren't the ones paying the bills, so that may backfire at some point. Anywho, I would give them no stars if I could for the way we've been treated myself and my family and I think you get it by now, I would not recommend taking your children here or supporting this nasty woman and her company. In reading reviews from the past 6 months or so, I see I'm not alone in this, which is very unfortunate that she's made other families feel this way as well. I will say the younger staff/coaches seem to be sweet and are good with the kids but I feel sorry that they're stuck with managers and an owner like that. read more

My daughter did the gymnastics camp during spring break. It was for 3 hours and included a snack and craft. She is almost 3.5 years old and she loved it. Yes, the employees do seem "younger" and are not as strict as some of the instructors at other places but they are responsible and kind and made my daughter feel comfortable there. She was also enrolled in the ballet classes, with teacher Jackie who is very very kind. The prices are very reasonable, $45/month for a 45 minute class once a week and they let you make up any missed classes. I haven't had any issues with billing like some of the other people have mentioned, I just get a statement in my email and call them and ask them to bill my card on file. The instructors don't have much answers to questions that don't involve the actual class (billing, schedules) you have to go to Miss Tess or Nicole for that... read more

This place is absolutely huge and always have tons of different classes going on. I can see how they're one of the biggest gyms in Portland. But this place may be just way too big for toddlers because I am not impressed with the toddler class we placed my 3 1/5-year old son in. The class ranges in ages of 3-5 which is a HUGE gap for children that age. Any parent knows how big just a 6-month gap is between kids that age, but a 2-year gap in a gymnastics class is huge. My son being one of the younger ones and having never been a part of a class-type setting before (gymnastics is our first go-around) of course he was extremely excited and had issues following all the directions...as should be expected. But instead of the coach using positive redirection they just threatened to "take his star away". NOT appropriate teaching behavior for toddlers! (So I decreased their review by 1 star already.) There is only one class per week which seems like too little, especially for toddlers who are trying to take it all in and remember it all - twice a week would be better. My son has only been to two classes so far and at the 2nd class there was a completely different coach than who was at his 1st class even though it was the same exact class (lost another whole star in the review for that one). Both the coaches seemed like they were about high school aged or early college with no formal training on how to communicate and coach toddler-aged children. It really seems like they just have their own older students go and teach the toddler class instead of a real coach who is trained in early child development - which, for a gym this big and this busy, they should have the money to pay for. At one point during the toddler class, the coach had all the kids go through an obstacle course that had about 10 different stations. Anyone who has actually done research on children that age would know that a child between the ages of 3-4 can generally only follow a 3-part task, yet they are on the edge of frustration when a 3-year old can't follow their 10-part task??? And lastly, not one time has the coach (for either week) even came up to us as parents to talk with us. Not one of them introduced themselves, asked us about our son or what his name was, or even discussed anything with us as far as what progress he should be making or if maybe he should be in a younger class to start out or anything! At one point, during the 2nd week class, the coach forgot my son's name and started calling him by a different name (and she was wondering why he wasn't listening to her...well, duh). Maybe I could've had the opportunity to correct her, but they have the parents sit on a set of bleachers that sit so far off the sidelines that you have to yell to even be heard. This may be a great gym for our son to attend when he is older, but for toddler classes I just cannot recommend this place based on our experience. We will finish out the classes we paid for ($65 a month for only one class per week; $40 non-refundable annual fee) but after our son is finished we will be moving him into swimming class instead until we can find a gym that is more suitable for teaching small children. read more

Continue to be frustrated and disappointed here. Service and communication are seriously lacking. No need to be condescending when explaining the POLICY, the really really really strict POLICY. I got the message, it was the messenger. She went on and on and on about THE POLICY (making emphatic hand gestures to stress THE POLICY) and that if they make exceptions, they will be "compromising the integrity of their program" - we are talking about 4-year olds here people. We will go back to our other center as soon as their summer session begins. To add insult to injury, when I called about the ballet class, I was very specific that we were looking for a class for fun and not necessarily for the recital because we would not be around a lot over the summer. The person I talked with said that the storybook class would be perfect for my daughter and NEVER mentioned that this is "recital season" - so when the teacher (who was late to class) handed me the sheet with the fees (nice welcome on our first day) and told me that they're getting ready for the recital, I was blown away. My 5 year old has done both gymnastics with Miss Jackie and Miss Nicole, as well as ballet with Miss Tess. She has loved every moment, AND every teacher! We have had so much fun with our older daughter, that we started our younger daughter in gymnastics at 18 months also..she's now going on 3, and still loving it! I would give 0 (zero) stars to this place. My daughter has been going there for 6 years. And just because we missed some classes and I voiced my thought about make ups, we got a message kicking us out. When I counted and said that we need to do about 5 make ups, they zeroed our make ups and said we don't have more make ups and kicked us out. I was shocked and frustrated and my daughter too, because she likes gymnastics and she did it for 6 years in the same place. I do not recommend this place, as they do just their business, and do not think about kid's feelings. We put our children in the summer camp and wanted the extended day option, which they advertise as an extra $7, but it's $7 per hour per day (3 hrs per day), so if you take the extended day option, it's an extra $105 per week, on top of the $200 per week camp which goes from 9-2, not very convenient hours for a working person. No sibling discount either. I thought it would be worth it since they get 2 separate gymnastics classes, it's a JOKE!! Basically this is NOT much better than babysitting. Unless you are paying ALOT of money on private lessons and are part of their gymnastics team you will be treated like the pathetic pain in their ass that you are. They are ONLY after your money - they could care less about children development or parental concerns, the front staff is clueless and rude and their go-to excuse is to blame the children. They have bullies in their summer program and don't seem to mind, their staff is seriously lacking in any type of professional etiquette, communication or business transactions. I'm actually flabbergasted that they are still in business with these types of practices. This gym has a parent portal to use on-line pay and it would be great if it worked, but it never works properly! I think this is so they don't have to interface with parents, because they do not have the ability. My 3 year old was enrolled in a summer camp. When we showed up for his second day I was told by a jr counselor that they had some trouble with their signup info and had taken too many kids, mine had been kicked out. We were supposed to have received voicemail, we did not. Even if we had, why would you tell a three year old that just showed up for camp that he can't be there? It was his first camp experience, and he thinks he did something wrong? The owner refused to speak with me about this issue, refused, I could hear her over the phone declining to speak to me after the office manager was of no help at all. Despicable. read more

I love this gym! My daughter has excelled very quickly within her team and I contribute her success to not only her but also to her coach whom is very attentive and has gained my daughters trust! Looking forward to competition season!!! I had first given this gym 5 stars now I have to edit and give it 3. My reason is because of competition season... the communication is HORRIBLE! My daughter missed 3 of her competitions because we did not know the exact day, time and place. They gave us a sheet with a range of dates it could be on... like Friday 5-8 but never told which day... I would have to email her head coach and ask for each and every meet! I was never getting the "team emails" *** example one meet which was in Corvallis coach told me it was at OSU at __ Time (this was from me emailing her asking when and where) I drive down from Portland and my mom drives up from cottage grove oregon to watch her compete... well she didn't... we circled the OSU campus we pulled over asked people where it would be... I called gym over and over, emailed coach over and over then finally got message back after competition was over saying sorry. No hard feeling on coach (I love her dearly super sweet gal) But example on how communication was bad! I never knew nothing completely blind! Did not know how much I owed or didn't owe... didn't know when anything was due... when I had to sign up to volunteer for meets (if you don't your charged $50 per slot you were supposed to sign up for) I would complain and complain that I never knew what was going on, then... once all meets are over guess what... I start getting the team emails! They finally added me! We have now switched gyms & competitive teams and things are much better! I did love all the staff at precision and I will miss them... but the communication is such a huge part of everything I have to fit things into our schedule too! My daughter also started hating gymnastics as she felt inferior to some other girls on team whom she felt got more attention idk if thats just kid drama but felt I should mention. My daughters attended classes here from July--December 2014. We are sad to report that a terrible experience with the management has marred our opinion of the gym, which otherwise offers decent classes, coaches, and facilities. After unexpectedly witnessing the gym owner mistreating my child for attending a make-up class that her office staff erroneously scheduled, I voiced my thoughts not only about her rude behavior but also about other communications issues at the gym and what I regarded as somewhat unethical practices regarding elevation of children to competitive levels. ( If you visit their website, you will notice that there is no information regarding gym staff/leadership and no info regarding competitive options. I was informed this omission is deliberate. ) While remaining rude during much of our conversation, the owner ultimately apologized, shook my hand, and agreed to keep my comments under advisement. Shortly afterward, we were asked by another management leader, the Director, to take our business elsewhere, and we were told our children were dropped from all their classes. They did not pay back the credit we had on our account or return a pro-rated amount of our annual membership fee, as we requested. A month and a half later, we received a bill for the very classes we were dropped from. Outrageous. read more

I went to a friends birthday party here and they had a great time, the employees were excellent! The party ended at 5:15 and we were cleaning up when the owner came over and was extremely rude and abusive towards us for still being there at 5:20. My kids did gymnastics here for a year and while some was positive most was negative. My sons first coach when he was 6 was awesome! Then he moved up into the boys level 1 and the coach constantly ignored him, skipped him and let other kids get multiple turns and when I tried to talk to him most of the time he ran to the back of the gym after class. My son was pretty good but he just did as he was told and didn't act out to get attention like the other boys so he got ignored and forgotten about. My daughter loved it but got bored. She was 5 and doing the baby obstacle basically every class. When I asked about how to move her up because she wants to learn a cartwheel I was told she had to try out for a team and I found out teams are expensive and a huge commitment. I was actually going to let her try a team but she missed try outs and they wouldn't contact me. I told them I was going to take our business elsewhere and they still didn't care to contact me. They only get two stars instead of one because Kelsey is great and helped with a birthday party for us and was amazing! And my sons first coach was great! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My son was in their summer camp for 1 day. I picked him up and asked how he did and they said "great" The next day I came to bring him back and they told me I'm sorry he can't come today. He did nothing wrong but he required too much attention for this class and gave me suggestions of camps he could attend. None of the teachers even said hi to him. He was crushed! I called later to ask why we were not informed and had to arrive to find out and they said "well I left you a voice mail" I have no voice mail. They had to mis-dial my number. They had no remorse about the fact that I was not informed ahead of time and instead had to explain to my 3 year old that he was not allowed back at camp. When I called to explain to them that they didn't leave me a voice mail and asked to speak with the owner I heard her say "I'm not going to talk to that woman" I have no problem with him not being allowed in gymnastics camp if he was too young, but the situation should have been handled differently. They need to take ownership that they misdialed my number! read more

I have been bringing my kids here for years, Even before they moved to this location. My son took gymnastics for three years, now my two younger ones go to the parent night out every chance we get. Though we have the most fabulous coach who is dedicated and is an excellent communicator - the gym simply is filthy. It has a stench of dirty feet, wet dog, and soup kitchen. It's overly crowded as well. They sanitize the mats once a week but it should be daily in my opinion. The cubbies I won't even put shoes in - they haven't been dusted in years. My daughters have been attending this facility before and after Pepper and Monte owned this place for over 10 yrs...I've been nothing but please by the new owners. My girls absolutely adore the coaches and birthdays here have been incredible. Its disappointing that the prior comment was obviously put on yelp by someone that is insane! There is no way that a place would be in business if they treated someone that way. They should have been grateful that their children were being watched so closely.
