I got bids from several companies through Yelp and ABS was the most readable quote. I got them scheduled and they showed up when they were supposed to do the job, they assessed the situation and got up in the attic to clean out the vent pipe leading to the roof. After around 30 minutes or less, the guys were done. Since then I have had ZERO issues with the dryer and should have gotten this done when I bought the house. Good service, I would use them again.

Our tech, Bryan, serviced our units and pointed out one capacitor out of tolerance. No pressure it replace it but we did as not to worry about it going out this summer. The price for service and replacing the part were very fair. I trust this company and highly recommend them.

I want to share my experience with Carolina Ductmasters so others can make informed decisions…read more After their work was completed, I later discovered that ductwork in my attic had been left disconnected. Over time, this may have allowed fiberglass insulation to be pulled into the system and circulate through my home. During this period, members of my household experienced skin irritation and breathing discomfort, which led us to investigate further and pursue repairs. The extent of the issue was not immediately apparent. When I raised concerns, communication was limited. The work appeared incomplete, and some equipment was left behind. Although I was told the entire system had been cleaned, the main trunk line did not appear to have been accessed. Management indicated that the issues would be addressed and mentioned possible refunds for service and replacement of some affected items, but these were not ultimately provided. I also requested proof of liability insurance, but it was not provided to me. Recommendations for others: * Verify liability insurance before hiring * Consider monitoring attic work when possible * Ask for clear explanations of what areas will be cleaned or serviced. This review reflects my personal experience and observations and is shared so others can be aware of potential concerns when hiring.

I will spare you pictures of the "before" but believe me when I say it was horrific. Late last night I googled Stanley Steemer and the Winston Salem location came up. I got an online quote of $150 that would include one bedroom and one hallway. I scheduled an appointment for the very next day with an arrival window of 12-5:00. I called on the day of the appointment just to confirm. She was very polite, well spoken and helpful and we were all set. I opted in for texting and when they were on the way, I got a text with his GPS trackable location and name. Sawandi arrived around 1:00. He was all smiles and introduced himself. He came in, talked about what he would do and explained the after care instructions. He also said $150 is the minimum but there was enough room to add bacteria killing sanitizer and freshener. Yes please! I can't go in yet because it needs 24-48 hours to dry but it looks great and it smells clean, not even a hint of the previous odor. It smells light and fresh without being too perfumey. I took an after picture of a small section. I highly recommend this company and if you need anything done, ask for Sawandi Kirby. He was fantastic.

Within a few weeks of them "sanitizing" our vents there is mold growing out of the ceiling. I tried reaching them. They lie, give the runaround and will hang up on you. Brand new (to us) home and a brand new dryer...what could possibly go wrong?…read more Lots! Our dryer tests airflow on a regular basis - it detected an 80% blockage. Whether that's a heart reading or dryer vent reading, both are potentially deadly. Dryer fires are the #1 cause of house fires today. From a convenience standpoint, blockages slow drying and leave clothes wet. I reached out to Ventbusters and off they went. We set up a time and they spent close to 2 hours removing all lint - they video the work so you can see before and after as well as what they took out! They also let me know there was an issue with the roof vent in our townhouse (and you really shouldn't vent to the roof unless you have to) which we will address. I cannot recommend them more and the flat rate option--so worth it and great peace of mind.

My mom told me that the motor to her fan blower was bad and that she would have to replace the whole system, because the motor was no longer made according to Earnhardt. I question it. They had already quoted her a whole new system $8K and had requested financing. I told her to wait and I did the research. I sourced a new motor and put it in myself and saved my mother a lot of money. I realize not everyone has my resources, but it is always better if you can get a second opinion. I am just disappointed and this furthers my mistrust of the industry.
