I then went to their website link. I filled out a form requesting service and described my repair. I have an electric recliner that was coming loose. I could tell that nuts needed to be tightened and it was to the point that one had worked its way off. I received a text on my phone, fairly quickly, that said we do these kinds of repairs all the time. When would I be available on Friday (the 20th) which was the next day. I responded and they said the repair would be $150. I thought that was very expensive, but it needed to be done and I did not know who else to contact. So I agreed. Yesterday morning the young man who came was a little late but did get to my house, within the appointed hour. He was respectful and well mannered. He was well prepared with tools. He was Ukranian and spoke little English. He did have a translating app on his phone. He quickly did a good job, tightening all the nuts and I paid him in cash. I do think it was a bit of a pricing gouge, but the work seems well done and quick. And in comparison to the money spent on my chair and the life I will get out of it, it is a small price. (They didn't use finish nails either) Lesson learned to supply my own materials, but it seems he could have communicated the options to me, especially after I supplied some of the other materials that were supposed to be included in the quote. The job was done quickly and I can fix it but I wouldn't hire this contractor to do any finish work.
