They charged me for something that I did not get and when I called to question them about the order they became combative because they tried to say My fiance never told them about the pepper soup that I ordered over the phone before he went to pick up the food and I was on the phone with him when he was telling them what we ordered. The customer service is terrible. Whoever runs this place needs to do better. They are very stingy when it comes to giving meat. I paid $18 for some soup & fufu.. I only got one fufu and they changed the size of the soup they give you. Overall I'm done with this place I'd rather drive to Musu kitchen in Bristol or go all the way to philly for better food and service at a reasonable price. I have had nothing but good experiences with them except my last time ordering. It had to be when I was bragging to family who actually went to experience this type of cuisine for the first time. Unfortunately we all had issues with our meals. The rice had a distinct burnt taste as if they burnt the rice and tried to salvage what was not burnt. The pepper sauce didn't even cover the taste. Several years ago, my mother brought west African food, the flavors were rich and it was like nothing I had ever eaten. After that time apparently the chef had went back to Liberia and total I may have eaten a dish at the time I didn't know the name (fried potatoe greens, the chicken cooked in the greens was still crunchy even after driving home, the chef is passionate about her food and this really shows attention to technique) 2017 I found this place had the dish I was looking for they allowed me to taste test until I found what I was looking for and everything I taste tested was great as well. The staff was very nice to me, warm and friendly welcome. I can't wait to go back!!!!! I think the place could use more lighting and work on the decor. But as far as flavor and food . Establishment only serves takeout. I cringe when I think about the kitchen setup based on what the front end looks like, although it has looked worse. But I must say the service has gotten friendlier. Order ahead is my advice, it took 20 minutes last time I ordered. Currently I just go for the fried greens, a dish infused with a robust, spicy flavor that will close the throat of someone not accustomed to spicy food. Otherwise I got no recommendations. Only other dish we tried was a fish dish that did not impress because it was dry, tasteless and served with way too much rice. Okay so prior to my last experience I ate her food all the time. My last experience was terrible I found a beetle in my food, then Precious the owner accused me of lying on her and basically placing the bug in my own food trying to "sabotage" her. For 1 the way she handled the situation was unprofessional, instead of taking ownership and making sure it never happened again, she lied and lied. I have been coming here for years and the service has not improved at all. I was dying of hunger and wanted vegetables that would be cooked with flavor. I am a vegetarian and I crave flavorful meals too! Today, I asked for a dish without meat so I chose the potatoes greens. There was still meat in my potatoes greens despite me asking for it not to have ANY meat in it. The women at the window seemed to not have an understanding of English and were both quite arrogant in their responses as a result of that. I called in for my order to avoid the crowd due to COVID-19 & came in to pick up; the lady at the front window took everyone that walked into the store before she even asked me if I was being helped. After being a loyal customer for years, it has been an extremely disrespectful display of customer service or lack there of. I am very disappointed in the way that business is being handled at this establishment and wish that my experience had been more positive being that African dishes are my absolute favorite. read more

I experienced Precious Kitchen a few days ago at work one of my coworkers ordered. So I have not actually been here in the flesh nor did I Place the order so I cant give it 5 starts since I didn't experience any of the customer service, ambiance or anything... but the food alone has me impressed and I'm sure I will be there at some point and experience it all. Now a few of my coworkers have been before and the buzz has been spreading, I passed a few times on going only because spicy foods as much as I love them sadly have a negative reaction on me. I was told that the potato greens are delicious flavorful but not spicy, so I decided to give it a shot... Best decision of the day! It was sooo good! The potato greens are cooked with turkey meat and served over them... the parboiled rice is served in a separate platter. Put them together how you wish and you are in for a treat. Seriously, a treat, the flavor is so good! I actually had to save the majority of the platter for when I got home later... not only because of the portion size, but mainly because I wanted to devour it but I was trying to keep my composure in front of my coworkers... I promise you when I got home I had the juice dripping down my arms and was sucking bones and enjoying every moment of it... it not often I get to enjoy flavor like that without the heat which then has me second guessing the decision of if eating it would be worth the stomach ache later that night... not to have to worry about that added to the enjoyment... although I think I might have taken the risk either way. Some decent reviews on here but I called within an hour of them closing and the lady on the phone was so rude. I asked if they were still open since it was close to them closing and it took a while for her to come to the phone. She responded snarky saying "If we were closed then no one would be here to answer the phone!" Why are you so angry?! Lol. I just hung up. I usually get my African food from my friend Marcia but I had cravings so bad so I tried this one. It was good even my son liked it and he is 9. Ok so this place has become the order out spot on Fridays for myself and my co-workers. We had their fried potato greens with chicken, turkey, and today shrimp. We've also had their fried spinach (w/meat also) which was equally tastey. We've had their fish as well. I don't know what type of fish it is but it was seasoned to perfction and tasted sooooooo good! This place definitely gets 5 stars from myself and my co-workers. If you are concerned about spice don't be. It is a very tolerable spice. A little water and you will be fine. I'm not a person that can tolerate very spicy food, but I was more than able to tolerate all the dishes so don't worry. Everything always taste fresh and the portions are very generous. The place inside is very small. So it's really only a carry out place. They accept cash only from what I know and there is no delivery. Don't eat here there food is spoiled I got so sick when I ate there. And I use to eat out of there all the time. Ate from there one day got sick thought I was coming down with something. Waited a week later ate from there again got sick as a dog again. Went and smelled the food and it didn't smell right. I was telling this African girl at my job about it and she said oh no don't eat from there she does not refrigerate her food at night she leaves it on the stove and just reheats it the next day.
