He took the time to conduct a verbal assessment and asked questions before treatment. Not only did it feel therapeutic to be fully listened to, he didn't jump to conclusions. Since I told him how forgetful I am, he offered to send me an electronic cheat sheet which I can always refer to after the appointment. As a result, I was able to focus on the techniques, rather than jogging down notes I probably cannot read after (ha!). I'm happy to report that I'm advancing on my strengthing exercises for my core/glutes since my injury a month ago. The clinic gets pretty busy after 5 pm when people get off work. The receptionist is very nice and works hard to shorten the line, but expect a short wait as their debit/credit card machine is kinda slow. A big bonus for this location as they validate your parking and reimburse you with ca$h.

You know you are in good hands right away. He also gives such easy but effective exercises that WORK! I really like the assistants there too, they are very friendly and help ease pain. My 10 year old loves this place and feels so special every time she visits. The bonus is they don't have a user fee whatsoever.This clinic is the only one in Burnaby that does not charge a user fee. The parking fee in the parking lot is also reimbursed by the clinic upon presentation of the parking ticket - can't get better than that. I would never go anywhere else.

At the beginning, it was actually not bad, I went there usually with a family member since I had a terrible car accident and wasn't able to move on my own properly, and the therapist did give me therapy as needed. Though as I got stronger, I felt like my hip and back pain were still there and not getting better. Being told that, the therapist would still just make me do exercises that I could and did do at home, spent an average time of 5 minutes with me per session before disappearing. No pain relief, no scar tissue relief, no muscle stretch, just a tap on the shoulder to keep doing exercises in their extremely tiny gym that I did at home everyday on my own. I really felt like whenever I was in there, it consisted of a quick talk about the usual conversation "how are you? How are you doing" and then send me off to the gym for the therapist to go on break. I find it a little lazy, I actually let that go for a while but after being treated like so for my last 10 ish sessions the same way when pain persisted on my body, I went ahead and looked out for a new Physio that actually cared.

My mom got me a groupon for Angel Hands for a full body massage. The place is kind of tucked away…read moreand is not what I expected. Don't expect a spa-like establishment. There was no reception to greet you - you kind of have to figure out who to speak to to let them know you are there for a massage. Once you get past the entrance area, it gets nicer. I had my massage and when they said full body - they really mean full body. From the scalp, to the forehead, to the very tips of your toes. I must say that it was probably one of the nicest massages I've had. The one thing that I did not appreciate though is that, although I was expecting to be smothered in massage oil, it would have been nice to have them wipe it off. Other spas wipe off the oils off your skin after the massage with a warm towel so you are not covered in grease. I was so greasy from head to toe when I left the place. I literally rushed home and jumped in the shower and scrubbed myself silly because I was covered in grease. It was quite uncomfortable driving home in that (there was even a grease stain on my interior door where I had rested my elbows). So if you go here for a massage, make sure you are going straight home as you will be all greasy and gross from the massage oil.
