Last year, my spouse and I needed to set up our estate plan, and were encouraged by a previous client of hers to contact Pratt Law. Word-of-mouth endorsement from a trusted friend was valuable to me, and so were the positive Yelp reviews I read when conducting my due diligence about Pratt Law. My experience was excellent, and my spouse and I came away from the process with a complete, organized estate plan, as well as a roadmap for getting all of our assets retitled into it. Analisa Pratt is an attentive, detail-oriented lawyer who treated our estate planning with the kind of granular analysis I previously thought only electron microscopes could perform. I, a person who habitually thinks and overthinks many scenarios, was awed/eclipsed by the sheer volume of life (and post-life) legal contingencies Analisa covered with us, step by step, in plain language that we could understand, offering us actionable decisions and their associated legal outcomes for probably everything two average people might experience in their lifetimes. Added bonus: I no longer have to overthink anything we covered in our estate plan, because it's all spelled out like a notarized Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book, less a few dragons. If you're considering creating an estate plan, I very highly recommend Analisa Pratt. I feel very confident in the work we did together, and very grateful for the diligence with which she conducted research, exchanged emails, filed forms, and prepared our meetings and our materials. I am thinking about the people who might read my review in the years to come, as you look for an estate planner, knowing that you are probably on some level wondering if planning your estate means you'll have to talk about *everything* that could happen in life and after, and how that might make you feel. Well, my spouse and I did have to talk about all of those things, and I feel so fortunate that we worked with Analisa, because she made it very easy and comfortable for us to do so. Her non-judgmental and warm treatment of us made me feel like helping us through this important life maintenance task was something about which she cared deeply. Estate planning is a subject about which I knew little, but felt I needed greatly. My spouse and I found Analisa to be so patient, so professional, and so committed to continuous learning about estate law, which made Pratt Law a great match for us. Thank you, Analisa! read more

My cousin has been trying to help my find a lawyer. She searched on Yelp and found Analisa Pratt. They had brief phone call on Monday, and Analisa sent us a long questionnaire which asks for all sorts of personal information that is dangerous to send via unencrypted SMTP email -- that's a common way that data breaches happen -- and says that she'll schedule a complimentary Zoom meeting. I wrote back on Monday and outlined the 3 points we need help with. No reply from Analisa. 2 days later I email Analisa to follow up. She asks for my phone number. I reply. Again nothing. 2.3 hours later I email to ask when I should expect her call so I'm ready. [I hate back & forth voicemail tag.] A few minutes later the phone rings, but when I stand up to answer it, I feel a bladder urgency and tell Analisa that I need to use the toilet and could I either put her on hold briefly, call he back, or have her call me back in 5 minutes. She sounds irritated and says she'll call me back. Then nothing. 18 minutes later I email Analisa to ask if she wanted me to call her. Who knows, perhaps I misheard her. I don't want to be waiting by the phone all day, I've got a lot on my plate currently. 8 minutes later Analisa emails me that she's not going to consider this matter, her schedule is completely booked with current clients. Gee, if that's the case and Analisa cannot take on new clients, why not say so up front? Why waste our time? I am concerned that this office does not seem to understand the security limitations of Internet based technology and does not want to use an encrypted secure document server to receive confidential information. read more

With the pandemic looming overhead, and general stability waning as time goes on, it made sense to look into estate planning for my mom. As with many other things in life, I turned to Yelp for input on the matter. Preliminary research showed that it's best to have a lawyer setup the paperwork, so I started my search. There were many options in the area as well as different prices to consider. I called multiple offices and had a chance to speak to a handful of legal professionals. Pratt Law stood out for the reasonable price and welcoming professionalism. Analisa was very quick to get back to us, and followed through with everything we had hoped. She had a very affable demeanor, and was always extremely professional throughout the entire process despite the circumstances requiring remote meetings. It was also extremely helpful that she was a notary. Some other lawyers I spoke with had separate notary fees, but not Pratt Law. I'm grateful for the help of Analisa and Pratt Law. I would happily recommend her to anyone considering an estate plan. Thank you! read more

I chose Analisa after a neighbor made an inquiry on the Nextdoor website for recommendations for an estate planning attorney. Analisa's name came up in several replies as the best of the best. I checked her Yelp reviews and found the same 5-star enthusiasm from her clients. I avoided estate planning for more years than I care to mention, but in the course of our initial consultation the anxiety and confusion I suffered, real or imagined, was completely eliminated. Analisa is knowledgeable, professional and extremely personable. In three meetings she created a Living Trust and Will that addressed all my needs. She was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend Analisa's services to anyone in search of an estate planning attorney. read more

Analisa could not have been more helpful, responsive and professional in the work she did for us with a deed change. She is very knowledgeable and was able to clearly answer every question we had along the way. Great experience from start to finish. We highly recommend Pratt Law! read more

This review is long overdue! I cannot say enough positive things about Analisa Pratt's estate-planning expertise. When I was first looking for an estate-planning attorney, I thought I'd check Yelp to see if anyone stood out. Wow, Pratt Law sure did. All of those five-star reviews said a lot. My estate is complicated, what with real estate holdings, numerous bank accounts, various siblings and other family members, charities, and a variety of "what ifs" (especially when it comes to my healthcare directive). Analisa is very experienced in all of those areas, having built her practice working with estates far larger and more complex than mine. Our initial phone call sounded good, but before I said "you're hired," I went to meet her in person. And within three minutes, I was ready to go for it. The process of setting up my living trust took a month or so, mostly due to slowness on my part. As soon as it was complete, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Analisa has a wonderful personality, a great sense of humor, and seems to truly care. She is a great listener, and has a unique talent for asking all the right questions. Her pricing is more than fair, and she is always available to answer quick questions by email or phone. Most of us postpone creating legal documents like these for way too long (I know I did). And many of us try to do it ourselves, or by using an online will and trust kit. DON'T DO THAT. There are way too many variables! If you want a Living Trust that will never be questioned in a court of law, hire Analisa Pratt. Trust me--you'll breathe a huge sigh of relief. read more

I had worked with Analisa Pratt some years back, so when I decided I needed a Living Trust, I contacted her office. I found Analisa to be very knowledgable about estate planning matters. She is wise, organized, and very well spoken. She clearly loves her work, and took the time to explain the intricacies of this aspect of civil law in lay-person terms that I could understand. She is also very warm, personable, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Analisa Pratt for estate planning assistance. John Bird read more

VERY GRATEFUL to have worked with Pratt Law on our new Living Trust document. She offers an extremely customizable, yet rock solid approach, in a methodical and simple to follow formate to achieve a complete Living Trust as well as all the associated documents of POA, durable powers of health care, wills , and anything else there might be to organize for your estate. Her approach is not boiler plate. She customized our living trusts, and the establishment of our kids (now adults) trusts and all other components uniquely suited to issues within our family, some fairly complex real estate holdings and previous generational trusts. Her pricing was fair and I think represent very good value for our location given the time spent in educating us about different approaches and their benefits. She also consulted with our accountant to verify a few questions that helped with prospective tax issues. On top of her professional excellence, and being on top of current best practices for estate plans and trust, she was an absolute joy to work with. Believe me , we have worked with enough trust attorneys in 40 + years, where we did NOT look forward to the meetings or even delving into the topic. Not so, with Ms. Pratt. Trusts are a living document and may need tweaking over time, we would definitely return to her for any needed updates to our trust documents and would actually look forward to doing so! How many can say that a out their estate attorney??? I give her a 10 # star rating if it were possible. read more

Analisa is the first lawyer I've met that I've actually liked, trusted and felt was completely, honest, fair and reasonable. She is such a great listener and wants to ensure her clients expectations are met. Analisa has gone out of her way to care about me -- When my husband became sick and we needed to put together a trust around the holiday season, she was quick to respond, worked around our timelines/schedule. Analisa cares deeply for her clients and is very compassionate and empathetic. She also offers great advice and recommendations. I really enjoyed speaking and working with her. She is quick to respond to emails and phone calls (even on weekends!) I highly recommend Analisa for your estate planning needs. read more

Interviewed 12 estate planning attorneys from big firms to little ones. Chose Analisa for 1) seemed have a lot of integrity (it's her own practice) 2) seemed to have a passion for estate law in particular 3) with a complicated estate we were looking for someone who would have the time/energy to devote to our needs who wouldn't be drained by all the work generated in a big firm. We are thrilled with results. Very professional, kind, flexible, and, I should say, a reasonable fee. Couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work. read more

I found Analiza Pratt on Yelp due to her rating. I was not disappointed. When I call for an appointment, I was surprise how quickly she response...within 2 hrs. I was able to get a complementary appointment pretty quickly while she email me a questionnaire mainly to know more about my situation for the meeting. She was well prepared when we meet. She took her time to walk my wife and I through various options that were available and answered all of our questions. I came in thinking about a simple trust to avoid probate and went away with a thorough estate planning on every conceivable outcome. Analisa was patient, helpful, responsive and professional. Overall a great experience, and I will recommend her to anyone who is in need of a trust attorney! read more

It would be difficult to find a better estate planning attorney than Analisa Pratt in the Bay Area. She is thorough, organized, and extremely smart. She worked with us to revise an outdated trust, and gave us an estate plan, and we are thrilled with the final product. Now we can forget about it, and focus on other things. Here are some of the things we liked: * Flat Fee: We paid 1/2 of fee upon signing the agreement, and the rest upon completion of the finished product. She offered to redo anything we didn't like at any time for no additional charge. There were no other fees. * Questionnaire: We filled out a questionnaire with our own information before the first meeting. This prevents numerous changes and greatly reduces the chance for errors. * Graphics and Explanations: We found her visual explanations made the intricacies of the estate plan much easier to follow * Trust Language: The estate plan used easy to follow English instead of legalese. It was clear and concise and easy to understand. * Communication: She stayed in touch by E mail and phone to address any questions we might have. * Summary: We found Analisa Pratt to be an excellent estate planning attorney. We recommend her without any reservations. Jan and David W read more

Responsive, thorough, trustworthy, personable, and smart- Analisa Pratt is excellent to work with and the results a perfect gold star. Analisa takes you through the whole process from start to finish, step by step, and tailored to your every need. Even after the final documents were signed and sealed, Analisa came to the bank and worked with the bank on incorporating the financials. She is phenomenal- the best and we had prior experience with an estate lawyer whose work we were replacing with the trust setup through Analisa. She is devoted to excellence. read more

Analisa and I were laws school classmates. Although we weren't that close, we had quite a few classes together as we were both in the Honors program. Even back then, Analisa had always striked me as an extremely intelligent, hardworking and genuinely kind person with great work ethics. Upon learning that Analisa has opened her own practice, I immediately went to her for my estate needs even though her office is 1.5 hours away from me. I didn't bother to shop around as I knew that I could count on Analisa to do a fantastic job. Analisa was very patient and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Every time I had questions(and I had quite a lot), she always responded quickly and thoroughly addressed any concerns I had. Towards the end of the process, Analisa was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond her scope of service in helping me get everything wrapped up before I started a new job. I'm completely happy with Analisa's service and would highly recommend her. read more

After our daughter was born my husband and I decided that we definitely need to set up a trust to make sure everything is protected for her. We kept procrastinating because it can be such an overwhelming task. Then we found Analisa. She is organized, thorough, and very knowledgable. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and easy it was working with her. Legal paperwork and laws regarding one's trust can be stressful to try to understand but she makes it concise and straightforward and explains everything. We are so relieved that our estate planning is complete and that it was a painless process, unlike what we thought it would be, thanks to Analisa. Competent, professional, thorough, organized, pleasant, patient, and a reasonable fee.

10 stars if possible! Analisa is amongst the very best attorneys of many I have worked with in past 50+ years across many legal fields. Extremely smart, quick mind-reader, very personable, great listener, extraordinarily responsive to individual needs and circumstances, fully organized and compulsively thorough with full follow-through and on-going follow-up to move assets into our living trust and/or to reassign them for easy probate-free access. Plus a wonderful sense of humor in addition! Her flat fees are extremely fair (may I say a bargain). She prepares simple-to-understand outlines and graphics to present the intricacies and tradeoffs to be decided. The finished trust document is a sectioned convenient binder, well crafted for understanding, perfect for heirs/beneficiaries to navigate (with whom she is delighted to meet and explain what Dad has arranged). She is very responsive to email and phone. I am referring other aging members of our extended family/friends who need the welcome relief and peace of mind she has brought to my complicated life. Dealing with these affairs in the last chapter of life is stressful, when the need/desire to focus on other things on your bucket list is pressing. My only advice (which regretfully I ignored) -- get started earlier in life, then update as years roll on and family circumstances change: after all, it is a _living_ trust. Analisa has made the entire journey an unexpected pleasure -- think, 10 stars! read more

I am an only child and lost my parents several years ago within a 1.5 years of each other. My parents had set up a trust, power of attorney, etc. I cannot tell you how much having this all set up helped me during a very traumatic time. I simply brought in the paperwork, had it reviewed by the financial institutions' lawyers, and was able to access accounts and make health decisions. The one comment from all institutions was that my parents had a proper trust set up by a lawyer (not Analisa) and not a do-it-yourself over the internet. Based on that experience, I pushed my husband and I to set one up. I found Analisa on Yelp and had to add to the positive reviews. Pros: - We started out by filling out a questionnaire. This is really the heavy lifting of the process and helped us communicate the type of trust we needed. - Flat fee with half due at the first meeting (once we confirmed we wanted to go forward) and the other half upon completion of the paperwork - Helped us find a professional management company for when the time comes - Provided great graphics of the trust flow (also mentioned/complimented by the professional management company). This helped us understand and make informed decisions of the complicated trust process - Stayed in touch by email and phone - checking in with us when we stalled (this stuff is so easy to avoid), clarifying, and answering questions - was willing to provide us with one trust - though the software wanted to direct us to 3 copies based on the intricacies of what we wanted to happen - told us how to share our new documentation with our financial institutions to further ease the process - flexible on meeting time - we needed early mornings to accommodate work schedules - pleasant, professional, and competent Cons: None on the part of Analisa - she's great and we have wonderful peace of mind now that we have this behind us. I recommend running over to Staples on El Camino Real for a fire safe box to store the originals once you're done signing (we couldn't manage the binder but got all the paperwork within). read more

I highly recommend Pratt Law for estate planning. The process of replacing an out-of-date estate plan was exceptional. With three meetings, and within one month the plan was complete and signed. (Of course, you would have to complete your action items quickly to stay on this schedule). Presentation and communication are clear, concise, and straight-forward. Options are presented with recommendations. Ms. Pratt is an excellent listener and very open to questions and requests for detailed explanation and scenario discussion. She demonstrates credible knowledge on the tax topics that are so closely linked with estate planning. I am certain that my estate plan is exactly what it needs to be, now. I would refer Pratt Law without hesitation to my friends and neighbors. read more

I put off doing an Estate Plan for many years because I was overwhelmed at the thought of it and did not have an attorney referral from any sources I was comfortable with. Recently, a trusted friend recommended Analisa Pratt and I contacted her right away. The Estate Plan is now history. Analisa is highly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions in short order. She quickly presented me with an Estate Plan tailored to suit my specific needs, which included creative solutions to several unique problems. She spoke with outside sources on my behalf, both during the preparation stages of the plan, and after. She always responded to my questions quickly and provided answers that were thoughtful and thorough. The final Estate Plan was prepared using straightforward language and presented in notebook form, which is impeccably organized and includes clear instructions on how to fund the Trust. It is structured so that all documents related to the Trust can be inserted as they're formalized. The end result will be an excellent tool for the successor trustee, because all of the information needed to administer the estate will be included in that one notebook. I was very impressed with Analisa's legal knowledge and her ability to streamline and simplify what seemed like a monstrous task to me. I highly recommend Analisa Pratt to anyone who is considering creating an Estate Plan. read more
