Getting divorced is VERY stressful; when my time came I was fraught with anxiety and doubts.  I'm…read moreso glad I retained Michael Pascoe to handle my case! Michael's "therapy dog" Coco sat by my side during my entire first visit and put me at ease; I petted her as Michael and I talked about the details of my case, and I felt a lot more relaxed and less stressed Michael is very knowledgeable and has years of experience with Family Law.  He also has a knack for making anxious people feel calm, safe, and well taken care of.  He obviously wants the very best for his clients, and that's exactly what he got for me - thank you Michael :-)

Let's go over what Mrs. Pascoe claimed for my case: 1) 500…read moreusd for Court filing fee 2) 500 for meeting 1 3) 500 for meeting 2 TOTAL: 1,500 Answer: 1) In California, when you hire a lawyer to represent you in a divorce case (or any family law proceeding), the process to inform the court of their representation is typically handled by filing a Substitution of Attorney form (Judicial Council Form MC-050). This form notifies the court that your new attorney is now representing you, often replacing self-representation (in pro per) or a prior attorney. There is no court filing fee required for submitting the Substitution of Attorney form. This is a standard statewide rule for superior courts handling family law matters like divorce. https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/substitution-attorney 2) We met for 5m just to sign 1 paper that he is now representing me. 500 usd for 5 min. 3) Next time we met was only to hand him a check and let him know that he is no longer needed. Handling of check was charged another 500 usd as considered as a meeting with the client (obviously). While he may partially technically be right in terms of meetings only, think again if you like to have this kind of ethics follow you during your case and weather something like this should cost 1,500 USD.

Ashlee and Kelly helped me get my roommate/ tenant, who had overstayed her lease, out of my condo…read morewithin a month. They were quick to respond and were already familiar with my case during the consultation, even though I had only contacted them the day before. They gave me options and explained the risks that came with each one. Even though going through the courts could have given them more billable hours, they gave me honest feedback and recommended the option that would require the least amount of time and money. With Ashlee and Kelly, my roommate/ tenant finally left on her own accord. Without their help, she probably would have continued dragging her feet. They provided a legal way to get her out, held my hand through each step, answered all my questions, helped me get her properly served, and started the court process since my roommate/ tenant wouldn't agree to anything. Most importantly, they gave me peace of mind during an extremely uncomfortable, stressful, and overwhelming situation. I went from uncertainty and not knowing how to handle an eviction to being prepared and ready (well, as ready as one can be for this situation). Their help is worth every penny! Hopefully, I won't need to contact them again, but I can sleep easier knowing that if I ever need them, they are there to help.

I would highly recommend this firm for you if you are having problems with your HOA representing you. Outstanding service by Daniel.
