After my father passed away, Matt was very helpful in answering questions about lingering Estate issues and after educating us on what the problems were, he gave us the necessary tools and information to resolve the issues ourselves instead of taking advantage of the situation and selling us services we didn't need. The passing of a family member can bring a lot of problems in dealing with creditors or even just dealing with taxes, social security, investments, and other unforeseen issues which might arise when a loved one moves on while dealing with the emotional loss at the same time. I strongly encourage people to be as prepared as possible for when the inevitable happens. It will make dealing with the process a lot easier if you have documents ready and an idea of the legal ramifications that the passing of a loved one can have on surviving family members. Thank God that we were somewhat prepared, but Matt was there to answer questions about issues that kept arising that we didn't have a clue of how to proceed after getting the runaround from insurance and investment companies. I called Mr Shafae looking for an attorney to review/update my trust since I had moved to Nevada from California. He advised me that he was not licensed to practice in Nevada and recommended I contact an attorney that was licensed in Nevada as Nevada laws could vary from California and to contact him if I had any additional questions. I found an attorney but was not clear about some of the offered options and whether the advice was sound. I called Matt to run a couple of items by him. He spent almost an hour on the phone with me clarifying some items as well as explaining the various options and provided me with his recommendations.
