We used Joan and company for our wedding Dec 17th, 2022. We chose a Boho/ Rustic theme and the prange staff went above and beyond our expectations. They decorated the arch/ceremony, reception tables, sweetheart table, cake/ cake swing, my bridal bouquet/ Bridesmaids bouquets and The Groom/ Groomsman boutonnière's to perfection! Nice flowers, but for me, not the way I would run a florist business. My girlfriend has sent me flowers three separate times. ALL THREE TIMES, they called in advance to tell me I had a delivery. Maybe it's just me, but my feeling is the surprise of getting flowers is so important. I might be able to forgo that, but the fact that when I called to ask about the delivery policy, I was told a "manager" would call me back. When I asked for the first name of the manager, I was told they could not give that name out. Later I was told it is because of so many solicitors calling. From where I sit, THAT is what happens when you own a business. The fact that the employee could not give me a first name, even a fake name, of a manager, just blows me away. I wish this long time, very reputable Gainesville Florist the best. But have asked my girlfriend not to use them going forward. read more

I had an exceptional experience trying to order flowers for a friend while I as out of state. I wasn't sure where she was working or if she would be home in time and Prange's understood the assignment. I asked for something as beautiful and happy, for under $50 (without delivery). Th went well out of their way to make sure my friend felt love on her birthday. They offered to have her pick it up or deliver it to her, but kept the sender anonymous! Prange's Florist is in a classic Gainesville location, on the same Clocktower block as some other great businesses and ghosts of businesses long gone. This historic downtown location has one of the best front windows for displaying that I have ever seen in Gainesville, and was fortunate enough to window dress when Lucky 7 Vintage was in this location. I had to order flowers for a funeral that was located in Gainesville, and decided to order online with a local florist because they know the ins and outs of the local funeral homes better than anyone else. And, luckily, I was right. Prange's knew the dates and times of the services even before the family did and were able to quickly coordinate a delivery of their amazing product. Because of the exemplary customer service, caring, and beautiful flowers---- I will definitely be ordering from Prange's in the future for any occasion. The costs are the same as any big business online floral delivery service, maybe even less. The quality of Prange's arrangements and the creative assortment of flowers are much better and have more of a curated appearance. I haven't even received the flowers I ordered for my mom yet but leaving a 5 star review based off of customer service alone. They didn't recommend the specific type of plant I ordered because it's getting too warm to plant them. Instead, they recommended an alternative which was perfect because my mom prefers them. I was in Germany, and in need of some great flowers for delivery to my lovely but distant companion... and Prange's solved my need. After trying the big online websites, it occurred to me to check out a local business directly - and their website was easy to navigate and order exactly what I wanted - and it was delivered the next morning.That dozen red roses made me a hero, and they lasted a very long time. Since then I've been in to have them make another lovely bouquet (this time with beautifully scented garden roses) which looked GREAT. ProTip: Take in your own vase and let them work their magic - that will save you on the total and you'll end up playing for and getting nothing but great blooms. The woman I spoke with was very helpful in finding out exactly what kind of flowers I would like and also what colors. I gave her an amount that I would like to spend and they put together a really beautiful arrangement for me. She really loved the flowers when I gave them to her. Seems like from other reviews good for flower delivery, however would not ever use for a wedding. I unfortunately chose them for my wedding flowers and where to begin? Everything was just so underwhelming, small and visually unattractive after kicking out all that money on flowers. Also, the groom sent me a bouquet of roses on the wedding day and they got the groom's name wrong on the card despite us having spent $$$$$ on flowers so they should know our names. They looked like a truck ran over them. The flowers were dried up and the display looked nothing like the display. When I went in to Prange's Florist, I really didn't know exactly what I wanted for my bouquet and my fiancé's boutonniere. We had a Gator wedding, so our colors were orange and blue. I thought I wanted orange gerbera daisies and some type of lily I saw online. When I met with Joan, she was able to come up with the perfect bouquet by offering her extensive knowledge and experience. She suggested I add blue hydrangeas (which gave the blue without being too much) and knew the perfect flowers to use that would stand up to the day and to my fiancé. She was easy to work with and the prices were extremely reasonable considering the quality of the product.
