Im gonna start off by saying, I love a good Pedicure, unfortunately, I have yet to find the go-to place for the perfect Pedicure. After looking over at the great reviews on Yelp for Prana, I figured why not? The place looked very clean and glamorous, they serve wine, sangria, mango juice as so forth, they charge a premium as well, add to that the near flawless reviews and you got my full attention and high expectations. In a nutshell. My Pedicure was truly one of the worse Pedis I've ever had. They didn't even cut the nail, (almost posted a pic, but I started to feel some type of way, so I took it down) just a lot of fluff. They have a young staff, not sure how much experience they have in this industry. But I urge them to go back to the lab and rethink their approach. They were not personable and felt like trainees to be perfectly honest. My feeling in the end was that they are not about substance. They are clearly selling you on the glamour of the place and handing out drinks in a fancy glass to make you feel special. When all I was in a good Pedicure. Sadly I quite possibly had the worst manicure I have EVER had, it honestly makes me mad that I didn't say anything and paid $45 (over $200 for 2 pedicures and a manicure) and will have to pay to get my nails done elsewhere again today. They should be ashamed to charge what they charge and let a customer walk out like I did. My nails, hands and clothes were covered in bright red powder...when I asked if I should wash my hands the tech said no and told me I was ready to go because they were rushing to close. The place itself is nice and clean but unless they get better techs they won't stay around much longer. Such a lovely place. I felt like royalty. The pedicure is done with warm water , salts and a light jet that feels great on the feet. Queeny, my nail specialist, also managed my feet and legs , first with a scrub and then with lotion. She took her time with the lotion and it was just what I needed. Although the chairs aren't massage kind they are large and incredibly comfortable. I felt like I was at a spa. Queeny was so kind and helpful. They are organized and offer many colors. My first experience was so good, that I decided to go back about a week ago. This time, there was no one there to greet me, just two people working in the salon, and neither one was very friendly. I was there for a pedi and ended up with a young man, which...no offense, I normally refuse. I'm sure there are exceptions, but they just don't seem to be very good(at least in my experience). This time proved to be no different! The pedi was poor quality and instead of the $25 I paid the visit before, it was now $35, and no where near worth it. After 10 years of acrylic, gel is still new to me, and I was really disappointed that it started cracking and peeling in 4 days, but I don't know if that is "the nature if the beast" or not. So disappointed that after the nail tech convinced me to get dip because it's healthier and she does a good job that my dip is falling apart on my nails. In less then a week the dip started coming off my nails n destroying them. I've had dip last on my nails for four weeks at a time. I've been desperately trying to find a good nail salon in the Tampa Bay Area and I think I may have found my place. I found Prana Nail Lounge here on Yelp and decided to give it a try since it's only 10 mins from my home. I pull up and see the red carpet in front of the door and immediately see how lux the salon is. It is decorated beautifully, with gold and white furnishings from the floor to the pedi chairs, to the front desk. It gives a very fancy and decadent feel. It is very clean and organized which I really appreciate. I didn't have an appointment but was seen within 15 or so mins on a Saturday morning. My mani and pedi were done at the same time, which I didn't mind because it to me in and out faster. I was offered a drink and was brought a very yummy mimosa. The nail tech who did my hands did a great job, his massage was good and he didn't make my cuticles bleed- which is rare at most salons because my cuticles are very thin. I did have to tell him a few times to even put my nails with the file because they were crooked, but in the end it turned out perfect. My pedi tech did an excellent job and paid close attention to detail. My pedi took about an hour. I was getting antsy at the end but appreciated the effort and care she put into my nails. They look great. The only complaint I have with her work was that the massage was basically non-existent. There was no effort here. I got the " Prana retreat package" and it does say light massage, but she just put lotion on my legs and rubbed in on and on the bottom of my feet with no pressure. A little more effort here would have made the experience perfect! I purchased a deal off Groupon- $31 for the mani and pedi which I think is an insane deal and a steal. I give the salon 4 stars because they have such LOUD music playing I just couldn't relax. They play 90s/early 2000's R&B music (which I love) but I'm not trying to cry to sad love songs while I'm getting a mani and pedi. And it was just incredibly loud- I'm assuming because next door is a kick boxing studio and you can hear them screaming and hitting boxing bags, so the salon tries to mask the noise. I think if they chose spa music or even classical music it would be better and go more with their luxurious vibe. It was so loud I got a headache! If you don't like loud music just keep that in mind. When getting spa treatments, I really look forward to relaxing and unwinding and it was just so distracting. If you don't care about details like that then this would be a 5 star place for you. read more

Being a guy I don't need as much work done for a pedicure manicure. No nail polish removal, no nail polish, no nail polish application. That being the case, when I got to the register they charged me an extra $10 to buff my nails. Which took 1/10 the time of removing/applying nail polish. Never had that upcharge with other nail shops. My wife and will I will keep searching for another reasonable nail spa in my area. Poor judgment on their part if they want male clients. read more

I went in for my last mani/pedi before my baby arrives (only because my regular place across the street, BLUSH, which is an AMAZING salon was on appointments only that day)...the place was dead and my manicure was rushed, not well painted and the pedicure included zero massage or relaxation and I had to tell the tech to refile one of my toes because it was uneven! My friend bought a Groupon for a group of 3, called and asked if we could make an appointment. On a SATURDAY, she said she could not take a group of 3. She is working alone, one person. We asked on the phone if she could take two at a time, and she said yes. We showed up and she scolded us saying we do not have an appointment, and that "I never take three people because I'm by myself." She was very rude and hostile and made no attempt to work with us. This place is absolutely gorgeous!! However, my service took 3 hours to complete. I only asked for a regular manicure and pedicure. After my pedicure I was never given slippers for my feet and had to walk in my bare feet to the manicure station. I sat there with bare feet for over an hour. It took 4 attempts to put nail polish correctly on my nails. Another technician noticed what was happening and corrected the problem. Needless to say I was tired and annoyed by this point. The manager gave me a discount and offered to redo my nails properly the next day. Which was a lovely jester. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning to Prana nail salon. Let me start off with how excited I was for the experience I was expecting out of this place that completely got DESTROYED as soon as I walked in!! I walked in with my friend to get pedicures, fill ins and eyebrows! As soon as we check in for our APPOINTMENTS we MADE there was a problem with who was going to do our services since there's ONLY ONE tech that can do gel/acrylic nails!?!? The one tech who could do our nails was the one in charge which made us VERY UNCOMFORTABLE when we started to talk down to the other girls working, she seemed like a DICTATOR not a coworker! Our pedicures we picked came with wine and champagne which we did NOT get but instead got sangria 40 mins into our pedicures because the lady in charged felt bad cause we were going to have to wait on our nails!!! Our pedicures we liked but was ABSOLUTELY NOT worth $60 for a BASIC pedi and BASIC nail polish!! Going on to get our fills we wanted something cool that we saw on THEIR Instagram that ended up not being about to do because the person who could do it LEFT so complete FAULS ADVERTISEMENT!!! She DIDNT listen to anything we wanted and both of us COMPLETELY HATE our nails!! She told me she knew exactly what I wanted which was a lie cause what she DID wasn't anything I asked for!! The salon is beautifully decorated and clean. Prices are slightly higher than most nail salons. On a Saturday afternoon only two nail techs working and no other cutomers there. Thought that was odd. Nail tech needs more training. My panicure and pedicure was nothing special. Cuticles not trimmed like I asked and polish was sloppy.
