Every time I have dropped my maltese off, I have had to wait in the deserted lobby for more than 10 minutes. When asking for assistance, "Hello, Good morning" no one comes. One occasion, the backroom was full of "f-bombs" and I still continued to wait. There are many groomers in Bloomington that could provide great service with a professionalism. Just think, if this is how they treat humans, what do you think they are doing to your dog!

We have been long time customers and have come of age with and always respected Dr. Kathy - she…read moreknows her stuff and our pets pretty well. Lately though, as she wrestles with the inevitable slow down and eventual retirement, there seems to be a revolving door of alternate veterinarians, vet assistants and front desk people. We understood the challenges presented by the pandemic in particular, but sometimes it almost feels like a bit of a sterile new business with lots of strangers and lately we've ended up scheduling out a lot further than we'd prefer, just to make sure Dr. Kathy is there. Like everything else, the costs seem to have gone up too. What we don't understand is how difficult it seems to be to find a second vet that is willing to help stabilize and grow the business. The location - doors down from corporate SF is pretty convenient for the plethora of pets on the east side, plus the building was remodeled a few years ago and seems more than adequate. Give this place a chance and hopefully a couple quality hires come about sooner than later.

Very disappointed with the service. We recently moved to…read morethe area and needed a professional groomer for our 5 year old American Lab. He has skin allergies and must be groomed twice a month. I asked many questions before our visit and specifically asked for Ellen to do the grooming and was assured she would. I discovered that he was groomed by someone else. He is well trained and easy to groom. He came home with very poorly trimmed nails, rough and close to dangerously short. I checked his ears and only one ear was cleaned out, the other was full of debris. His coat seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned and rinsed thoroughly. I was hoping to write a positive review, but from my experience I can't recommend this establishment. Constance M.

My dogs seem fine and were probably well cared for. When I picked them up, however, the owner greeted me with "I need to have a talk with you" in a confrontational and, quite frankly, rude tone of voice. She accused me of not telling her enough about my dogs. Actually, at first she accused me of one of my dogs not being potty-trained (which he is), but then it was that I didn't tell her that one of my dogs can occasionally chew things. He chewed up a yoga mat they usually board at other places with that he'd never chewed before, and this made them angry because he got diarrhea. UPDATE: He got diarrhea because he picked up whip worm from their facility. He was all clear when I had him at the vet two weeks prior. I don't know why she seemed so upset about it (she never said why), but the worst part was, several minutes into being negatively lectured by the owner, I spoke up finally getting rude back at her and said "I'm sorry I didn't tell you every little thing about my dog. You were very busy in the lobby when I dropped off, and I had to leave. I just want to pay and get out of here." Her daughter yells at me "Don't you talk to my mom that way!" In a manner that suggested she was going to start a fist fight with me. They've been in business long enough to know what can happen when pets board and what they need to know about people's pets. They should have a survey with simple questions addressing their areas of concern. Simple solution! Otherwise, how could I possibly know what to focus on when you ask me "Is there anything I need to know about your dogs?" In short, they were highly unprofessional and not good with people. They are extremely cheap compared to other places (about half the price). I really wanted to like the place, but left feeling very upset.

I'd much rather someone be straight with me and good with pets, which is exactly what they are. I've taken my dog here twice (once for 10 days, once for 5) and I couldn't be happier, nor could my dog. I've spent a total of 10 minutes in there and my dog has spent (quick math) 21,600. Who is more important in that context? I'm very happy with their care for my dog, their honesty in dealing with me and her minor issues, and her health and happiness each time. And especially given their prices, I really can't imagine going anywhere else. For anyone on the fence I recommend giving them a shot, checking your ego at the door, and seeing what you get in return. I got quality animal care from true animal lovers, people really good with dogs, for a great price.
