I emailed the studio owner, Kim, who invited me to join the Friday community training, and it was a wonderful experience. Kim was so knowledgeable and generous to give me so many helpful pointers during my short visit. It's evident that they have personalized relationships with all their clients. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in PDX and I wish I had a community gym like this in the Bay Area where I live.

For someone who dreads running, I really looked forward to her classes each week (that is a win in itself!). She is super knowledgeable and keeps you engaged throughout the training time. She did a great job teaching a class of people who were at all different levels of running. I also loved her classes while she was training at Studio X. Would 100% recommend anyone looking to up their fitness game, no matter where you are starting from!

The owner of this gym is a very nice person, the people who work here have always been very kind, and one thing I like about this gym as that people of all body types and ages are here and it's very much a judgement free zone. So, if you are a long time fitness person, or you are starting off, this is a great gym to go to and it's 24 hour access for members, and located right near the Alberta Art District. One thing that keeps me away from most commercial gyms are off-putting personalities and I have never found that here. It's a really good spot to keep fit.

After much finding in the Portland metro area, we were SO HAPPY to stumble upon Intrepid. We go 2-3x a week for our schedules. The owners Ruth and Sean put in a tremendous amount of effort ensuring that every experience you have seems like you're a new client, when you show up each and every time, whether or not you've been going there for years or days. I appreciate the fact that they don't assume you just know everything and they really provide COACHING rather than passive guidance. They know each and every persons strength and weaknesses, and make everyone feel comfortable. I am also always astonished by the variety in the workouts, and all the coaches really provide great instruction, whether it's Ruth and Sean, the owners, or the other two coaches, everyone's amazing. You should come to Intrepid if you're looking for community as well. Everyone let's you be who you are but there's always opportunities to have pot lucks, celebrate people, and have fun during class or after class. Investment in new coaching skills and equipment 5. Quality Review and Continuous Improvement My "positive" experience at Intrepid relates to my multiple drop-in visits while in town on business. On each of my visits, I was received professionally and politely each time. My biggest concern, and gripe relates to an early November 2018 incident, where one of their staff sent out a "survey" to current and past members. Intrepid PDX openly published my email address to almost 700 people - instead of hiding it in a BCC to protect my privacy. I have followed up multiple times to the originator of the survey without response - or an apology. I've also requested my name be removed from Intrepid's database, and my request was also ignored. When I'm visiting Portland on business, I have several choices for CrossFit - and I was hoping Intrepid would be my gym-away-from-home. But I won't be back. While mistakes happen, I've reached out three times to the staff member and ownership to share my concerns and didn't receive a response. "Just remove my name and personal data from your database - if you cannot manage my personal information with discretion." That's all I can ask at this point - because your staff member already broadcast my email address to 700+ people. Oh, and she also broadcast the email addresses of every current and past customer I might add (Yikes!). Generally, from my experience, the customer list of any business is a sacred asset to be protected. I wonder, if I were to post the survey originator's email address here ... perhaps then she'll grasp the importance of privacy. Or at least be courteous enough to admit the mistake and remove my contact information from Intrepid's database.

Adam was kind, super relaxed and really took the time to understand the concerns and connect with Isaac before starting. He also took his time and didn't rush the trim which I feel contributed to Isaac's overall well being. After the trim Isaac was relaxed and had zero stress symptoms, physical or mental. His nails are better than they've ever been and were done with consistency and precision. We're lucky to have found Adam. Highly recommend.

These guys were great! We have an 80# Golden Retriever mix. We've never had a dog we had to groom…read more We brush her regularly so she wasn't matted at all but she's just a big goof who makes a lot of noise in the car. So finding a self contained mobile groomer was a real plus. A full service groom for her. She had extra time so we got our second dog got a bath and brush. And our third dog, not to be left out, got her nails trimmed. Definitely gonna call these guys again. They were on time and thorough. For those services for three 70+ # dogs was $215 including gratuity. Gonna call them soon for our third dog to have a bath. She'll love it.
