In one section of my front lawn they over fertilized. This burned my grass and now I only have weeds growing there. When I complained they said I reported the burned grass too late. Looks like their workers are not well trained. I withheld payment because of bad work but my wife paid them to stop them from hassling us. read more

I would not go with this company again. Terrible customer service . I used their services to tent my home in 2021 and call to have a receipt of this being done . Not only was the person on the phone very rude but not helpful at all. They are very nice at first when they want your business but won't be helpful to the customer afterward. Criminals. My recommendation, do not use this company. I have multiple security videos of this company trying to cut corners in their services with no resolutions. Just getting the tech to come out and service the account required multiple phone calls into the company. We were scheduled to be serviced bi-monthly. They averaged almost 3 months before techs would be on-site. The most frequently used excuse was the truck that was scheduled to service my home broke down. I made the mistake of paying for my year of services in advance. Unfortunately, I had to sell my house. I called the local office to see if a refund could be issued for the services I did not receive. One of the company's representatives informed me to "have a nice life you are not getting your money back." So, if you want to work with a bunch of criminals and get poor service this is the company for you. read more

I entered into an agreement with PowerX in August 2014. The first application the company did was unsuccessful at eliminating the ant problem I had. I called to complain in September and was told a re-application would be done with at no charge. The first week of October, the company came out to do the "free" re-application, which they said should last for two months. However, very cleverly, the company decided to come out again 2 weeks after said re-application (on the date of my originally scheduled service) and do another application. Does PowerX have such disbelief in their product, that they felt the need to re-apply within 2 weeks? Or was it just a scam to make up for the no-charge application you had done 2 weeks earlier? The person who came out that last time never indicated to my wife, who was home at the time, that any balance was due. I never heard of the company again that year. No phone calls, or letters. I figured PowerX was an incompetent business and decided to move on, replacing the service. It was not until June 8th, 2015 that I received a threatening phone call from their employee Brenda. Brenda claimed I owed a $75 balance and that if I didn't pay she would proceed to send my balance to collections. She even threatened that the company is working with the 3 credit bureaus to report against the credit of people like me, whose credit information is not even tied to frivolous agreements such as the one PowerX claims to have with me. I then called to complain about this horrific conversation and spoke with a manager. She apologized and asked me to please send an email asking them to cancel the service. It has been one week, three emails, and hours of my own time spent, and I am still struggling with them to cancel my service. I do not recommend anyone ever uses their services. read more

I have a pretty large lawn and I have had two other companies treat it and fertilize it. For the first few months, the other companies, one a nation chain, did okay. After what I have to consider the "Honeymoon period" ended, the grass was coming up in clumps (grubs) and I had fungus spots show up that just seemed to grow. I'd complain but they really didn't do anything. I saw the Power X truck at a house on the corner and their lawn looked go so I gave them a try. Its been over two years now and my entire yard looks great. They even saved my privacy ficus hedge in the back yard when whitefly infested every hedge in the neighborhood. I was the only one with a healthy hedge. When I googled to get their phone number for a friend, I saw they only had one review and they deserve better. Power X sprayed or shrubs and ground over a month ago, killed everything and came back and did their own landscape. The job they did looks hideous. Kill a 6' hedge line that was there for privacy, killed all the orchids and shrubs. They refuse to tell us what they sprayed and will not bring a professional in to restore the original design. read more

Technicians are not properly trained. Technician could not speak basic English and sprayed a mother duck on a nest because he could not understand me. He thought I meant to spray there and could not see the duck from where he was standing. Also sprayed the duck while I was standing only a few feet away. Don't think technicians should be spraying pesticides in the breeze with a person standing there! I'm in a development and other neighbors have complained about this company too. read more

I had the same pest control company for 5 years and I noticed that my yard had been in decline for the past few years. My national pest control company kept upselling me additional services telling me that I needed more of this or more of that. When I finally started getting big brown circles in the grass and I needed to start spraying weekly to get rid of it. I decided enough is enough. I tried this company because I saw their truck at another yard down the street that looked pretty good. I called the number and a guy came to my house 2 days later. I found out the brown circles were because my sprinklers were on too much and I had fungus from it. I found out the loose chunks of grass in my yard were from a hideous worm thing the guy dug up in a second with a little shovel. He reset my sprinklers, wrote a note for my husband explaining how to keep the schedule. Their total fees to treat everything was just a little more than half of what I was paying and I saw almost total improvement after about 4 weeks. I have had them for the whole summer now and my yard look great. I have to thank them for saving me money and my yard. read more

Beware! 3 months after I hired Power X for pest control and fertilization of my landscaped home in Jupiter, Florida, I had a catastrophic die off and/or slump of lawn and plantings. Within 2 weeks of an application of weed control chemicals, all areas of my property--front, side, backyard---started to show brown up and eventually much has died off--ferns, lawn, liriope, schefflera, all my hanging orchids, even decline of several palms and others. The company rep said it was not their mistake, but caused by "drift of chlorine mist" from a small leak of my pool filter. This, in spite of the fact that most of the die off occurred on the opposite side of the house, and no plantings were affected at adjacent properties, even closer.Other specialists I called on scoffed, saying it was likely over use of chemicals in time of draught. I am left with cost, clean up, soil testing, and replanting because of their incompetence. Don't use them! read more
