Gift certificates only good for six months and they try to cheat you and not let you use them. Poor customer service. They don't even have a basic conversation with you and don't say thank you when you make a purchase. read more

He refused to exchange or refund s purchase for spoiled wine. I bought 2 boxes of wine from this store last night. One was fine. The other had absolutely gone bad. Tasted like vinegar. I always have Blackbox wine at home so I know how it tastes. Both of us at home agreed it was terrible. I went back today to attempt to return/exchange the bad box. I was told that red wine never expires and that its perfectly fine because the bottom of the box says it doesnt expire until next month. He refused to try it or smell it. He said something about how I probably normally have white wine and don't understand how its supposed to taste. As a young woman I felt very belittled by the way he spoke to me. read more

Not customer friendly. They have an attitude that you are doing them a favor by purchasing from "them". Prices are high compared to other local liquor stores such as the one at Drum Hill in Chelmsford who are always friendly and helpful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Typically this is the liquor store we go to after shopping at market basket. We received a gift card and like normal humans forgot about it until today. When I looked on the gift card it says the expiration date was the month I received the gift card. So I called to see if it was possible for them to please honor it as we go there frequently after market basket. The lady that answered the phone informed me that the gift cards are only good for 6months which I think is outrageous and that it would have expired 6/20 and today is 7/20. So only a month expired and she refused to have any leniency and was rude and said bye and hung up when I asked if it was worth loosing a regular customer. So my advice is NEVER give someone a gift card to this establishment unless you want to throw your money out the window. read more

Rude Staff and Overpriced liquor Like other reviewers have noted, the staff (especially the lady and her husband) are sooo rude. While you are checking out, she never looks at you but talks on the phone to her friend as if you didn't exist. (You can hear her friend's side too because her cell phone is cranked up.) Never once makes eye contact, never once smiles, never once shows basic courtesy. Plus, their prices are terrible. You can get much better customer service and much better prices at Drum Hill Liquor. I don't want to spend my hard-earned money on a store that shows such disrespect to their customers. Any liquor store in Lowell is better than this one. (And like another reviewer, if you are Hispanic, you are going to be followed around the store.) Racist. Rude. Awful place. read more

If you are black, please don't buy from this store. As soon as we walked in we had 2 of their employees plus the old man at the counter basically on us. The two employees were not subtle in how they swarmed around us pretending to be suddenly interested in the alcohol around us. It was my third time there and this has been the case every single time. I mentioned to my friend that they are pretty discriminatory. We were overheard and one of the workers there had the audacity to shout at us to use a different store. Wtf... You are brown and you spewing discriminatory bs at a black dude?? I was there Friday 13th July 2018, 30 minutes before closing. I mention this date so they know exactly who wrote this. Their prices are decent but you have to go at the right time if you want any sort of service. There is an American older gentleman and a younger gentleman that are super nice and helpful. The lady and maybe her husband (they look to be the owners) are awfully rude. They NEVER smile or greet you. I go there often only because I live near market basket but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Last time I went, the lady was demanding. For example, "$20.00. Debit, swipe. Here, Your receipt. Next." And I know she speaks english because I heard her speak it before to another customer who was complaining to her once. When i first went here, it was an older indian guy. He was super friendly and approachable but now, it makes me not want to go here. read more

powers liquors is great, very nice and helpful staff, they always have what I want they even special order deep eddy sweet tea vodka in the large bottles for me, they are all very nice. read more
