I called one company recommended to be a "top" pick for electrical work. They came out and said "a socket just can't go out like that. We will need to do troubleshooting ant it will cost you $800+". He then gave me other quotes for work he thought i needed. But Will from Firefly came out and replaced the plug in no time. The owner, Casey gave me a quote of $150 ( a far cry from the $800 that the "top" company gave) and they are pretty much a family owned company. I have but Firefly in my contacts list as the go-to company for electrical work. i would highly recommend Firefly Electric for all your electrical needs.

Prospective customers should be aware that hiring Firefly Electric may expose them to significant financial and workmanship risks based on my experience. 1. Pricing Practices I initially met with the owner, Casey McDermott, at the job site, and we agreed to a firm cap of $1,000, regardless of any unforeseen complications. After the work was completed, I was told the job "took longer than expected," and I was presented with a bill for $1,340--well above the agreed limit. After discussion, I ultimately paid $1,200 in cash, which was still at least $200 more than our agreed cap. I agreed to this only as a compromise, hoping to maintain a professional relationship and avoid escalation. However, this experience left me concerned about the reliability of quoted pricing. 2. Work Quality and Reliability Within hours of the work being completed, the breaker installed by Firefly Electric began repeatedly tripping. It will remain on for a short period, then shut down the entire circuit again, making it effectively unusable. Resetting it requires waiting 8-10 hours, which is highly disruptive. I was told there may have been "incorrect wiring," yet this issue was not resolved during the job. Notably, the circuit was functioning properly before Firefly's work. Despite this, I was later asked to pay additional money to fix the very problem that arose immediately after their service. Final Assessment I genuinely wanted to leave a positive review, but my experience raises serious concerns about both pricing integrity and workmanship accountability. When an agreed price is exceeded without consent, and newly installed work fails shortly after completion--without being corrected--it undermines trust. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Firefly Electric. Proceed with caution.

We called and had them come out the next day, which he did and told us it would be $400.00. But, now only the clock works. They will not come back out and hook it back up right for us. Granted they came out to give us a quote, but hook our stove back correctly. Also, we got a quote from someone else to fix it for $140.00

I recently had my water service line replaced from the meter to my house. During the project, David discovered that the boring contractor hadn't installed the new line deep enough to meet code. It would have been easy to work around it, trench through my landscaping, or simply let it go--but instead, he advocated for me. He stood his ground, insisted the boring company come back and do the job correctly, and ultimately saved me from ending up with a substandard installation. That decision cost him an entire day's work while everyone waited for the boring company to return, but he still put doing the job right ahead of simply getting paid and moving on. To top it off, when the project was finished, his final invoice came in below the high end of the estimate he had originally given me. In a world where it's common to brace yourself for surprise costs, that was a refreshing experience. If you're looking for a plumber who is knowledgeable, honest, and willing to advocate for his customers instead of taking the easy way out, I can wholeheartedly recommend David's Plumbing. I've used Waggoners for HVAC for years and have always been happy, but things seem to have changed…read more They came out in March for semi-annual maintenance on my A/C, and what would normally be a 45 min job took an hour and a half. I figured out why when I got an email right after the guy left with *36* photos and videos of my system. First time they ever did that. Overkill, much? That same week I had one of their guys out to give me a quote on a fairly significant plumbing project. I've never used Waggoners for plumbing, but this is a big enough job I wanted to get more than one quote on it, and it seemed like a thing to do. The gentleman came to my house, I showed him what I had in mind, we discussed options, and he said he would put together an estimate for me and get back to me. Days and days went by, and I had just about given up on hearing from them, when the guy contacted me that he had my estimate ready. He came to my house and walked me through it and it seemed reasonable. I asked him to please send me a copy of the quote by email, and he said he would do that. He left me a catalog to peruse, and said he would be back to pick it up in a couple of days. I told him I'd be happy to send it back with their A/C tech who was coming the next day, but he said no, he didn't trust that he would get it back if I did that. Readers, I never heard from him again. I never got the quote. He never picked up the catalog (which, btw, had NOTHING to do with the work I was asking for). I don't know what to think. I have a service contract for another HVAC maintenance, and I'll probably go through with that, but if things don't get better, I'll probably be moving on. It's a shame.

The work order gave a detailed description of the problem. We were told the warranty company denied the claim but we needed the work done and the electrician was already at our home. The bill was almost $600 for two hours labor, two outlets and two junction boxes. We've asked for an itemized bill three times but have yet to receive one. We were charged the two hours labor because the electrician did not have all of the parts for the job and we live in a rural area. The warranty company paid the service call. To make matters worse, the outlet installed for the stove clearly stated it was for camper use only and was not even an outlet for a stove. The electrician had to come correct his mistake. Fortunately, we were not charged for the second service call. The work was finally completed and is in working condition, but we have serious reservations about the integrity of this company.
