Great fitness facility inside the LV Baseball Academy!…read more The owner and trainer, Kyle Shannon, is very knowledgeable. He provides instructional coaching and packets on obtaining an overall healthy lifestyle. He's very welcoming and great at making everyone feel comfortable. The adult fitness is a group workout where members receive individual attention while being in a team atmosphere that's very encouraging and supportive. I was hesitant at first, just tagging along with my husband once a week. But after a couple weeks I love going! I've bumped my visits to two/three times a week. Would definitely recommend! Great for anyone looking to lose weight, gain muscle, live healthier, or become stronger post injury.

Kyle, Drew, and Katie (the trainers) are some of the nicest, most positive and encouraging people you will ever meet. They will kick your butt, and you will love it. The workout is different every day but they always make sure you are doing the movements correctly to avoid injury. The new facility (on Broad St. in Bethlehem) is beautiful and clean. The atmosphere is positive and accepting. There is no pretense; come as you are. You will find all ages, stages and fitness levels here. I have been coming for over a year and I'm in the best shape of my life. It's the only workout I can stick to for more than a few months. They have free trial classes, so no reason not to check it out!

But, my kids have been taking things here for the past 7-8 years so I think I've got a pretty good grip on things from that perspective.) It's not the best of Y's but it's not the worst of Y's. It's a Y where the pool gets closed for cleaning at the last minute and you are never told. It's a Y where when something does hit their Facebook account it's not uncommon for the information to differ from what you're told if you call their front desk. It's a Y where a class that starts at 4 gets supposedly gets changed to a 4:15 start for the rest of the semester without you being told only to have you show up next week for 4:15 to find out that the class this week started at 4 at the whim of the teacher's schedule which of course means that you partially paid for nothing that week. It's a Y where in the distant past swimming classes would regularly have teachers that wouldn't show up/didn't know they were supposed to be there that day/no one was ever scheduled for that time by management. It' a Y that does offer a very good swim team with the minor issues of it having very unrealistic expectations as to what you are expected to pay and if you actually have a job that requires you to work weekends then you might as well forget it because you have no prayer with the volunteering requirements/travel schedule. But with all that said, at least in Bethlehem it's more or less the only game in town in terms of swim lessons for younger children so you sort or need to love the one your with and over time you do learn to lower your expectations and accept that no matter who you complain to things more or less never change.

There are two floors--the second floor consists of the locker rooms, elliptical, and treadmills. The main floor has the weight machines and free weights. There is also a large open room where classes are held. I'm usually there at late hours when there is no class in session, so I'm able to use that space for my own workouts. If there is a class going on, there's also a smaller sized open area on the second level where you can do your own thing. They also offer towel service, free wifi (fast enough that I can watch Netflix while on the treadmill), and the front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming. The only complaints I have are: limited hours on the weekends (they close at 7pm), no stair master, and no one wipes down the equipment after use.

Finally had to cancel my credit card. Now they are sending a collection agency after me to $88.00. It should not be this difficult to cancel a membership. Buyer beware. Also, FYI. Many times, I would go in and the machines would not be in working order. Class times are not good for people who work and customer service is non-existent. When I called to speak about the cancellation collection notice, I was hung up on. Don't do it. There are a lot of other options

The staff is usually friendly or just ignores you, which is fine with me; I'm not there to have conversation or make friends. The equipment is kept up well and the layout of the gym makes sense. I've never taken a shower here, so can't comment on that. But the men's locker room and bathroom area is what you'd expect. The only concern I have about this place is the obnoxious way people park in the lot. When it's busy--or sometimes when it isn't--you'll see cars parked in non-spots, sticking out in your path; I'm surprised more of these cars aren't side-swiped. And really, if you're going to the gym to get a workout, why would you mind walking a little further, across this relatively small lot, to get to the front door? Instead, gotta park as close as possible, even if it isn't a legitimate spot, to what, save yourself a few steps? Anyway, aside from the parking habits of some of the more obnoxious patrons, Planet Fitness on Stefko is a nicely priced and clean, modern gym, that gets my full recommendation.

The staff is friendly, the facility is always clean, and I never have to wait to tan or use any of the machines. On top of all that, you can't beat their prices. You can get a basic membership which includes unlimited access, PF mobile app, and free fitness training for $10/month plus taxes and fees. The start up fee is $29 and the annual fee is $39. The black card membership is what I recommend. For $22.99 a month you get access to every PF worldwide, option to bring a guest, use of hydromassage, use of tanning, use of total body enhancement, use of massage chairs, 50% off drinks, 20% at Reebok.com, and free WiFi. The start up fee is $1 and the annual fee is $39. There is a 12 month commitment for both options.
