Studio Fitness used to be my favorite gym in the Lehigh Valley. I was a member for two years and…read morethe first year was amazing. There were plenty of classes and the instructors were awesome. The last year has been rough. There's not many classes. And if you work later than 5 pm, you're not making a class. I once showed up to a Friday morning spin class only for the instructor to say she couldn't work the speakers and then canceled it! A lot of spin instructors have come and gone. Doug and Rachel were the best but Doug has now since left. So to pay $50 a month only for a couple classes a week is a lot. I have not renewed my membership and have since joined a new gym that is cheaper and gives me so many more options.

The gym is owned by a highly accomplished black belt (Jon Thor Blank) with numerous accolades, and his dedication to both the art of jiu-jitsu and the students is clear from the moment you step inside. The owner has a clear respect for the martial arts which sets a strong example for everyone on the mats. 100% recommend this place!

He's very knowledgeable and helps you work through your workout and will modify anything needed to get you to a solid workout. I started end of July, with a history of medical back problems, and have since then gained core strength and muscle and can do things I couldn't do a month ago, let alone no back problems since starting with elite! I got referred to him and thought nothing of it wanted to get in shape for the upcoming summer. It was agreed upon to do 2 times a week for 6 months. Grand total 1440. He used a 3rd party lender who approved me for the total. This meant he got the money, and I was responsible to pay the lender back over a years time rather then the 6 months. Chad became a little difficult to schedule with (no big deal as I understood life can get in the way sometimes on his behalf and mine.) I was promised protein powders for signing up (Never received them) Then the kicker his "landlord decided to increase the cost of rent" so he was "looking at new locations" but in the mean time he could "take me to planet fitness on his pass" (okay were making lemonade out of lemons right guys?) WRONG! after taking me for one session chad pretty much fell off the face of the earth. No responses to text messages.. nothing. As time went on I decided I would dig a little. I found other girls who he took money from and still owed sessions to. The lender on the first phone call told me I could stop payments. Then continued to call and told me "they were not responsible for services." but that I could ask Chad for a refund and hopefully the issue would be solved.. Welp Chad chose to ignore that message too. Basically it comes down to facts, being a decent human, & owning and running a business in a proper manner. As someone who is profiting off of a market for weight loss and holding people accountable for their choices, He should be holding himself accountable for the wrongdoing's he's done. He could have offered to make things right, he chose not to. Yet now he advertises for his online "program" Buyer beware. Please don't fall victim as myself and others have.
