LOVE. Using…read moreclasspass I've been able to take flywheel classes in new york and now 1rebel classes in london with the same app I use for cycling and yoga classes back in Wisconsin. I took Sammy's 9:15 am 45 min class and I loved her teaching style! very motivating and positive - she explained everything and the class was very doable. we used weights (provided for part of class too) I wondered what the music would be like & was pleased that it reminded me of my old hed kandi tracks. the studio also has the instructor raised up on a platform and theres colored lights, a fog machine and a screen with pictures behind her. It's really something else! Shoes were included and you can borrow a stainless steel water bottle. There were toiletries provided in the ladies locker room, as well as locking lockers, towels, lots of showers, a aaaand a fridge full of chilled lavender washcloths! The bikes have a flywheel and pretty sure you can hook your phone up if you want to sync what your doing on your bike too your machine. You can also go on their website for the instructors play list. This one is right by Victoria station. Wish we had one of these in the states! I very much enjoyed my class! :)

I took two spin classes and one reformer class three days in a row and enjoyed every class. After I took my first spin class, I raved about it to my BFF about how much fun I had! It took some convincing to get her to join me on my next spin class because she hates cycling (with a passion). But to her surprise, she enjoyed the class so much that she said she would do it again! The class felt like a club with loud music and bright lights! Probably the only club we will go to these days...too old to rage like we used to. It was fun feeling like we were at a club and at the same time sweating and getting a good workout in. I wish they had this studio in San Francisco, miss it already! And the smoothies are good too!!

Not knowing this, I called up kxu gym based in Sloane square and asked the member of staff on the phone this who had said this is fine and told me there is spaces available in the class. I attended the gym class under this basis, upon arrival the guy whom I spoke to on the phone had booked me into the class. behind him was a very rude member of staff who I believe could of been the manager, the manager at points was speaking Italian to other staff members. The manager had then taken over the booking and asked me if I have previously been to the gym and I replied yes he then said I cant go the class unless I pay. I explained to the manager that I have been told this isn't the case and travelled to the class under this basis. He was extremely rude and unapologetic. this practise off professionalism has prevented me from attended this gym class again- the class that had only been booked to half its capacity bases on the miscommunicated information they should of allowed me to attend at no cost. by doing this this would have cost the business nothing but a regular customers whom was aiming to attend weekly being a local resident I was made aware about this gym as my sister and very close friend has attended the gym classes here over an uncountable amount of times. The way the manager had responded was humiliating and uninviting. My initial aim was attend this gym class weekly, for this very reason I would not go to this gym again. This happened back in November .

In this case it's being on the punching bags and being on the wall for body circuits. I've taken MK's classes and they're great - good music, energetic and motivational. Their space is huge! There are great locker rooms, filled with great products and free lockers. There are 2 boxing rings and one group workout room. The workout room has stations all around the outside wall for "off the bag" sessions and then floating punching bags hanging throughout the middle of the room. They turn the lights down, turn on the black lights and turn up the music. It truly is a night club feel. Similar to Soulcycle. Classes start with an intro to their punch by numbers style, then the remainder of the hour (yes a FULL hour - its great!) you sweat your ass off. I did a full body circuit class, and we alternated from off the bag full body exercises (think burpees, pushups, plate swings, etc) to bag exercises. I work out a lot, and attend a lot of classes, and this was seriously one of the best classes I've ever attended. I've never sweat so much before! The instructor was really motivating and fun. After the class you can grab a protein shake from their bar (you can order before class and they'll have it ready for you). It's pretty pricey, but not more than you'd expect from a boutique gym in London. Their first-timer's pack is an excellent deal at £25 for 2 classes plus a set of wraps that you get to keep. Try it - it's so great!

I finally got through…read moreto the sales guy, who asked me a lot of questions about my goals and then went on to sell me the benefits. I had to laugh when he told me that I'd sleep with more women after my full body tone up with Fitness First Victoria! The gym is the smaller brother of Fitness First Cardinal Place. In fact membership of one entitles you to use of both. There are about 20 cardiovascular pieces, some free weights, a few machines and a stretching area. No studio for classes. The changing rooms have a sauna. As normal all machines are the old style Life Fitness type Good Points: Really struggling here. I guess that it wasn't that busy. I must say that the sauna was boiling, which is how it should be! Bad points: I know I always go on about light in the gym, but it is important. There was no natural light in there and the artificial light was poor in most areas of the gym. Here's a tip for any would-be-gym owner - get your lighting right, your members will look better than they actually are, they'll feel better, they'll stay your members for longer. I also felt that the atmosphere was a bit dead. The other thing that stood out is that they had no free-standing squat rack, only a Smith Machine - guys, you've got to put a mirror in front of the Smith Machine - Some exercises, such as squats, are dangerous if you don't use good form. Mirrors help you keep good form! As I noted in my review on the Cardinal Place site this place is just around the corner from an LA fitness, where you'll pay about £50 per month. I was offered under £40 to join. I wouldn't want to be a member of this place. It just doesn't have the equipment and ambience that I need. I have given it a 2. This club is a so-called "blue label club" and is at the low end of the fitness first range. It really is a very basic club. Please note that it's not only about the club - it's about you! If your mind is in shape you'll reach your fitness goals wherever you are. Some of the world's finest athletes used very modest training equipment at some points in their careers.

This is a premium gym, yet the space is relatively small. Recently it's clear the focus has shifted on acquisition rather than retention of members, resulting in the following pain points: - Changing rooms get super crowded: hard to find a free locker, bumping into other people post shower due to sheer lack of space, frequently having to queue for hairdryers - Queueing (behind up to 5 people) for the showers - Temperature issues in the women's changing rooms this winter: the door to the swimming pool is propped open, creating a cold draught in the pool and in the women's shower area. At regular intervals there's showers don't have warm water (worsening shower queues) - Due to overselling of classes happening at prime time there are no treadmills available at from 8AM to 8:45AM every day My husband and I were mid workout this morning, when the personal trainer positioned herself in front of our treadmills, weaved her hands and very rudely shouted "YOU NEED TO STOP NOW!". She and her colleague forced us of the treadmill mid-run, saying that they need it for the class and that there are no treadmills available between 8 and 8:45AM daily. When asked whether that means we can't do our workouts in the future he said "yes, it does, I am sorry. We tried to get more treadmills but it was not possible". So here we are, two fully paying members dishing out £430/month, being told we can't do our workouts. Given their recent focus on acquisition they need to look into expanding their space or stop accepting new members. Treadmills are basic gym equipment and need to be available for members - either limit the class spaces, get more treadmills or expand the gym.
