Apparently this sandwich was infused with gold, crypto, or something because it rang in at $24 with the add-ons. My person had the eggplant parm, which unfortunately was over-seasoned with only a slight trace of mozzarella. The marinara on the side was undefinable. We hit the bakery on the way out. The sfogliatella and cannoli were great, and so were the ladies behind the counter, warm, lively, and actually happy to be there. Look, I'm goin' back to Romanelli's. We ended up getting a pasta salad, chocolate cannoli and two small ice cream. Our order was for takeout but I noticed people sitting outside and couldn't tell if they had ordered from Tony's. I guess the younger man was the son but I didn't ask. He was the one pressing the prices on an old cash register which took me back to when I was a kid. They seem friendly and hospitable. I must tell you that even though they have been here for almost ever, it is situated on a very busy intersection and the parking is kind of tight. The deli has just about everything you would want and the aisles are narrow. Still a nice place to stop and shop at your pace.
