I was driving to Ohio from Virginia and my car broke down near Euclid…read more I dropped my car off at South Euclid Auto Repair to have the tensioner and serpentine belt replaced. This shop had my car for 3 days and told me they had to remove the alternator and A/C compressor to replace the tensioner, they charged me over $750 to do the job! They blamed the issue on my mechanic in Virginia since I had work done recently. I took the car back to my mechanic in Virginia. I WATCHED MY MECHANIC TAKE THE TENSIONER OFF WITHOUT REMOVING THE ALTERNATOR AND A/C COMPRESSOR, TOOK HIM 10 MINUTES! My mechanic then showed me the tensioner and re-installed it in 20 minutes. South Euclid Auto Repair lied to me and WAAAAY over charged me for labor. My shop in VA said the job should take 30 mins to an hour, which they proved because I watched them do it with my own two eyes. Should have been a $250 or $300 job, South Euclid Auto Repair charged me over $750. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST SHOP!

The mechanic scanned the car and told me it was a malfunctioning oxygen sensor. Then he left to buy the part. Then he disappeared and never showed up again. Didn't reply to my texts anymore. Left me high and dry. So I am back to square one looking for another mechanic who can hopefully finish the job. I am very disappointed and can't recommend KARS.

I know full well how much of a clunker my old Ford sedan is, but needed to figure out why it kept stalling and if the throttle had anything to do with it. I have had poor experiences with prior auto shops trying to sell me all sorts of crap and services I don't need to keep my lemon running between work and home. From making the appointment over the phone to discussing the issue after his investigation, the gentleman I talked to (the son of the original founder and now owns the place) was incredibly respectful and professional. He explained that it was likely a computer issue and recommended to me the nearest Ford dealership to take it to. He even gave me a ride to work the morning I dropped off my car to him! Serious service!! I also got my oil changed which took 20 min per the gentleman I spoke with (Mike? Sorry I'm bad with names!) and with the 3.5% added fee for using card and not cash it came out to $35 bucks or so which is also not bad. Go here for trustworthy service!
