It's people like this, that make it hard on people such as myself to get the proper care needed to help me cope with my injuries! Also, you take Dr. Piechals big heart for granted and can cause him the headache of having to deal with agencies such as the DEA, Medical Boards, and/or doctors/pharmacies to start breathing down his neck! Dr. Piechal has been God Sent in my eyes!!!!! He has done wonders with helping me cope with my pain, as well as, better understanding what is good and/or bad with what I should/shouldn't be doing to help ease my pain. You don't or shouldn't always have to reach for the medicine cabinet every time your hurting. There are many ways to relieve pain, without pills, which is one of many things Dr. Piechal has thought me over the years as his patient. So, if your in a lot of pain or have a serious injury and you need a great doctor with a wonderful staff, Dr. Piechal is your guy! If your just looking for pills to feed your addiction, I hear Florida and some places in Eastern Oklahoma are the places you might consider. After doing some research on Advanced Orthopedic Specialist and discovering that they work with the Arkansas Razorbacks I thought this has got to be the place. I called on the day after I left from Ozark Orthopedic and instantly was scheduled an appointment for 8:50am that morning. When I arrived the building was new-ish and the staff welcomed me and treated me as a patient and not a number. I met with Dr. Yakin he asked me some medical questions examined my leg and did some basic medical checks, he listed to my heart and lungs. He told me what procedures that he would be doing. I was really impressed with what he thought would be the best way to fix my broken Fibula and separated ankle. After the visit we went to the Patient Advocate who was 100x that of the one at Ozark Orthopedic. She looked up what procedures Dr. Yakin would be doing and told us an amount. They scheduled me for the following Tuesday... On the day of my surgery which was scheduled for 8:50am I received a call from someone about 7:00am asking me if I was on my way. I told the lady over the phone that my appointment was at 8:50am and will be there a that time. My surgery was held at Northwest Surgery across the road (it used to be Physicians' Specialty Hospital) Everything was so rushed when I got to the front desk. On my way back to be prepped for surgery everything was good. Dr. Yakin with Advanced Orthopedic Specialist came in and asked me how I was. He asked me for my cell number so he can call me afterwards to see how I was holding up. The lady that prepped my leg started shaving my right leg with this thing the medical field calls an electric razor (more like a pissed off cat scraping your hair off.) then the Anesthesiologist came in he greeted himself and said today we're operating on your left ankle is that correct? I said no it's my right ankle. Ha. I went into surgery and was in recovery for what seemed to be 10 minutes and I felt so rushed to get me out of there. Now I'm in the recovery stage which is very great! I can't wait to get back to my active lifestyle!

But if appropriate, he'll let you have input in regards to your own care. He also does a great job of trying to help you select options that save you money, and doesn't run unnecessary tests or prescribe unnecessary meds if there are other options that are cheaper. My wife and I have both been to him multiple times and we remain satisfied with our doctor. We also have no problems getting appointments and they'll even work you in on a walk-in if needed.

Dr Cox explained what this procedure entailed and respected my concerns. The surgery was an outpatient procedure and went home the same day. It's been a year now and I am totally satisfied with Dr Cox's work. Of course the Reverse revision is just that, reverse and it has its limitations. But I understood the restrictions and I am very happy. The office. Is pleasant and the staff wonderful. I highly recommend Dr Cox.
