This is my very favorite pet store and wish it was closer to my home in Austin - not only do they have excellent and very educated customer service they have an off leash dog park out back! I stop here to let my dog stretch her legs every time I road trip South of Austin and always end up buying something. It was here that I first got turned onto the hard to find Premium Edge Healthy Coat dog food that my picky eater loves. Not only do they have super premium dog food but they also carry every kind of animal feed you could possibly need along with horse tack and lawn supplies. The second time I brought my cat and came in to get him treats and ear cleaning wipes. The shop from the outside looks small but wow does it have a lot of products! They have treats freshly baked that you can take a look through the glass display. They have these beautiful artisanal leather accessories that are great for yourself or a gift the pet-loving one(s) in your life. They have lots of coats and puffer jackets for the pups, freeze dried options, and raw options.

The staff at hill country pet ranch were very kind and accommodating. They assured me that my dog would get plenty of love and he seemed happy and cared for when I picked him up. However, I have to deduct a star because despite having an overall good experience, my dog did come home with a number of fleas. We have him on prevention, so the fleas were dying after biting him, but he was so itchy in the meantime. This was after I had also purchased an exit bath and nail trim. I think this is a fine place to board your dog, but ensure that you have plans to go home and give your dog a flea bath immediately. Plus, throw away any fabric items that may be housing fleas when you get home.
