I came in with a dental emergency and left with a fixed crown and sore cheeks - but not for the reason you'd think! Rafael is an absolute gem who managed to squeeze me in when I desperately needed my crown fixed. Not only did he work his magic on my tooth, but he had me laughing so hard throughout the procedure that my face muscles got a better workout than my jaw. I never thought I'd say this, but going to the dentist was genuinely FUN. Rafael is a force to be reckoned with - equal parts skilled professional and standup comedian. He made what could have been a stressful situation feel like catching up with an old friend who just happens to be incredibly good at fixing teeth. Thank you, Rafael, for saving my smile in more ways than one! read more

They were able to see me on short notice due to an infected tooth that required a root canal. I've never experienced getting a root canal but they managed to complete the procedure with no side effects or pain. In fact the next day I was completely without any of the side effects that I would have expected from what others say about the procedure. Not that I'm looking forward to another root canal, but if I had to get one in the future I would definitely come back here. read more

Dr. Lim has been my dentist for over 13 years and he is so amazing. He does everything you need. The best oral surgeon and dentist and good for ALL ages. He really is the most gentle doctor before, during and after whatever work you're getting done. Painless injections and I HATE NEEDLES so much!!! He's done several cavities and root canals for me and they are all in good shape. He takes into consideration your teeth shape, color, alignment. He actually cares about you and your teeth. I live in the LA area and still go down to see only him. I've seen his miraculous results of him fixing my brothers teeth after all his front teeth were knocked out after a motorcycle accident. He fixed a gap that my mom had her whole life through a bonding. He's amazing!! I've had a lot of past dentists do a quick fix and mess up my tooth in the long run, and Dr. Lim has saved several of those teeth. read more

I absolutely recommended this dentist Dr. Infante . Staff is super nice , and honest .

I called POWAY Coast Dental, I saw the big sign that they were finally open. I left a message and "Agatha" returned my call. She said to come in tomorrow at 11:00. We'll, isn't that a Saturday? She said Dr. Rafael Infante DDS likes to come in on Saturday for the patients who cannot get dental care during the week! I Love That! Dr. Rafael Infante is gentle, he is precise and he's got a great personality. He told me that Friday is his surgery day and he loves to do tooth implants, crowns & veneers. Now when have you ever heard that from a dentist? I better get in there and have him replace some that could look better. I'll just call Agatha at (858) 486-3300 so she can schedule me for some more excellent dental work. Thank You Agatha and Dr. Rafael Infante DDS. read more

Dr. Lim is great! You can only get in through referrals and after my mother in law had a great experience with him I decided to go in for a cleaning to see for myself. It's only him and his wife running the shop, they are a cute Korean couple and Dr. Lim really takes time on my cleaning and is very knowledgeable on his work. They both definitely made me feel comfortable as going to the dentist is not everyone's favorite place to go. Definitely recommend this dentist to people! :) read more

This Dentist is NOT very professional on how he runs his business, Maybe acceptable in Korea but Not here in America , expecting the full payment for his services up front prior to doing the work, i had dental insurance and very good insurance on top of that.. The work he recommended for me was very expensive and not necessary. After consulting with 3 extra dentist to compare the quote. Well ,let me tell you , i was truly blessed for NOT USING this guy Dr LIM He thinks too much of himself , but he is not , compared to other professional Dentist. I was able to find out with some research and time. I have found perfect dentist for me and my family , very close to my home and the cost was much less of Dr Lim's suggested , it was one fourth of what Dr Lim's asked for And i did NOT have to pay up front as i was asked By Dr Lim's Office.. In my case i got lucky not to continue being a patient from that Dental Office Poway.. I will Not recommend this Dentist to anyone. read more

Today was my first time going to the dentist in over 10 years and my husband over 5 years! I can't express how grateful we are to find such an amazing doctor and assistant. Since the beginning to the end of the procedure/visit they were exceptionally welcome and extremely nice. They made the whole entire experience easy for me and my husband. They are also very caring and make sure you get the best out of what your insurance covers. I am in the process of getting my cavity filled and a root canal, as well as all my wisdom teeth pulled and they have explained exactly what the procedure is and how they accomplish it. My husband will need a deep cleaning and explained the reason why he needs it. We are very excited to continue to come to this office and get our dental procedures done. I honestly recommend anybody to this dentist because they truly care about their patients!! read more

For years I avoided going to the dentist. I had a million excuses from my gag reflex to just flat out being afraid of what they would tell me. Going to Dr. Lim was the best decision I could have made. The office was cozy and Carrie was very sweet. They both were patient and informative of my needs and my treatment plan. The deep cleaning I required was painless, I thought I would have some soreness after the numbness wore off, but I was able to go about my day as usual with no pain. I will definitely be going here for all my dental needs! read more

The dentist that I went to for 18 years had retired, so I was looking for a new dentist. Prior to finding that dentist, I had problems with dentists who were always trying to say that I needed thousands of dollars worth of work. Needless to say, I was concerned about finding a new dentist. We were referred to Poway Coast Dental by one of Dr. Lim's patients that my husband has business contacts with. He had nothing but good things to say, so I gave him a try. This is a small office, so an appointment was readily available. Unlike those large clinics where you feel like cattle being moved in and out, you always have one-on-one personal attention here. Both Carrie and Dr. Lim take time to explain everything to you in detail, and they put out options for you. I was there 45 minutes last week while they went over my x-rays and thoroughly answered all my questions. There is no pressure, though he is quite honest with what work is needed and will let you know what can be delayed a little while and what is more critical to get done first. Both also explain in detail how to care for your teeth and gums. I am very nervous around dental equipment and have a super-low tolerance for pain. Both Carrie and Dr. Lim are very soothing, comforting, and gentle when working in my mouth. I need some work done in the next few weeks, and yes, I'm nervous; but I feel confident that Dr. Lim and Carrie will be patient with me. I highly recommend this office and hopefully have found my dentist for the next 18 years! read more

Dr. Lim is amazing! I saw him for an emergency root canal. His voice is very soothing and made me relax during the procedure. He has good tricks that he uses to distract me when he was about to give me shot so that I wouldn't feel it. He was not judgmental because I had neglected my teeth. He has a gentle touch which made my experience very pleasant. Anyone who has had anxiety about going to the dentist should definitely go to Dr. Lim. He really knows what he is doing and you wont regret it! read more

Dr. Lim and Carrie are an excellent team! Dr. Lim is a master of high quality dentistry. I started going to Dr. Lim based on a friend's referral after my sons pediatric dentist wanted $200+ to fill a cavity and use laughing gas on him. I was hesitant to go at first b/c my son had only been to a pediatric dentist and I didn't want him to have a traumatic experience. Not only was Dr. Lim professional and his office clean and state of the art, but he was also gentle and re-assuring to my son. His technique for numbing your mouth is impeccable and painless. I have since switched my entire family to Dr. Lim and drive from Cardiff to Poway because he is the best dentist I have ever had. I highly recommend him. read more

My Family all go to Dr. Lim and he is the best by far! I speak from long experience as I worked as an Assistant for an Endodontist for 20 years. Our experiences have all been remarkable. Our Daughter was so afraid of the Dentist she cried the whole time in the waiting room on her first visit, now she loves the Dentist! Our Son has Down Syndrome, and although he is always well behaved, some office's and special patient's don't "click." Well, Dr. Lim and Kerri were wonderful with him too and he also enjoys going. I know they are great, but tonight showed me just how great! I had had a tooth bothering me and was stuck at work today. My Husband called Kerri and they told him I could come in after work. Diagnosis, one Root Canal. Painless during the process and now three hours later and the anesthesia has worn off, I still have no pain and the tooth pain from before is gone! Not only did they the care of me, they stayed late to do so. Where else can you go for care like that anymore? Dr. Lim has a wonderful chair side manner, he explains everything so that you can understand it, Kerri is wonderful and they work together as a great team. You will not find a better place to go when your teeth need attention. read more
