You can find non meter parking with more of a walk. It's huge. And tons of restaurants and hotels right across the street.

Was mostly chill until sunset of course, people gathered to watch the sunset. Restaurant right on the beach, 2 gift shops, a mini cold course, the WWIl lookout tower as well. Plenty of parking. Side note: HIGBEE BEACH is Hidden behind wooded dunes and far from the crowds, Higbee Beach is a wild, untouched stretch along the Delaware Bay. No lifeguards, no boardwalk, no badge required-just nature, birdwatching, and calm waters perfect for quiet mornings. Pro tip: bring water shoes.

It was named after Lower Township Police Officer David C. Douglass, Sr. who was killed in the line of duty and the spot serves as a memorial to his legacy. Dogs are fully allowed on the beach from the day after Labor Day through the day before Memorial Day. They can also go on the beach in-season from 4pm-11am (overnight). It is unclear if dogs have to be leashed, so use caution. Watch the ferry and find some relaxation here.

A small beach within a short distance from the parking lot, calm water, a jetty for my husband to fish off of, and lots of shells and treasure to be found. Wildwood Crest Beach hosts many families and everyone I encountered was friendly and gave you enough space for social distancing! The beach is well maintained for the traffic they receive during peak summer months! Many lifeguards on duty and at night the police patrol the beaches to make sure those walking around feel secure! On our most recent trip we came on Labor Day weekend- which I won't do again- it was mobbed with people- which is not my thing. I get anxiety being in crowds- so the boardwalk was a bit of a mess and panic for me. When we came to the bay- it was something totally different. Way less people- still the same amount of fun. Soft sand, easy to make sand castles with my daughter. Seagulls to feed endless popcorn too. Just a time to take in some cool breeze from the waves and enjoy the sounds that come along with it. The bay is the way to go for someone like me who isn't much of a crowd person. My daughter seemed to enjoy it also.
