Wildwood Crest Beach hosts many families and everyone I encountered was friendly and gave you enough space for social distancing! The beach is well maintained for the traffic they receive during peak summer months! Many lifeguards on duty and at night the police patrol the beaches to make sure those walking around feel secure! On our most recent trip we came on Labor Day weekend- which I won't do again- it was mobbed with people- which is not my thing. I get anxiety being in crowds- so the boardwalk was a bit of a mess and panic for me. When we came to the bay- it was something totally different. Way less people- still the same amount of fun. Soft sand, easy to make sand castles with my daughter. Seagulls to feed endless popcorn too. Just a time to take in some cool breeze from the waves and enjoy the sounds that come along with it. The bay is the way to go for someone like me who isn't much of a crowd person. My daughter seemed to enjoy it also.

Fabulous beach 15 minutes away from the touristy Wildwood beach. You can enter it from anywhere…read more I'm just picking a spot to write the review. You decide the pros and cons for yourself. I'm going to provide a list and add a pinch of my under developed sardonic wit. 1. You don't have a boardwalk 2. You can't purchase food that will slowly clog your arteries and eventually kill you. 3. You can't throw away money playing stupid games 4. You don't have to walk a mile to get to the water. 5. You will have to share the beach with some birdies. 6. You will realize as you drive around town and when you get to the beach that the people and the homes seem uppity. 7. You would probably thank your stars that you found this quiet, sophisticated haven that is a change from other Jersey Shore fare. 8. And then some girls will walk up to you and ask if you have day tags. That's when you decide whether to cough up $6 per person for the privilege to stay or leave. If it is a good weather day and you are not a family of 10 (keep busy are we?!) stay!

Parking is a bit crazy here .. wildwood general parking is about 8$ an hour !! We had to leave it on Park mobile slots -", which were about 4$ an hour . It is better to just walk to this spot if your hotel is closer to boardwalk .
