Pouri is joyful, loving, and fun, and she genuinely cares for each of the children in her care. My son has been with her for about a year and a half, and there has never been a single day when I didn't see that love in her eyes or hear it in her voice. And she has six kids under three in her care on most days! We can barely keep up with the two little ones we're trying to raise. I honestly think she's amazing.
Her care also extends to the families of the children she looks after. She is very family-oriented and personable, and it really feels like she gets to know and care about the whole family, not just the child.
And she's a great cook. The food the kids eat is nutritious, balanced, and made from scratch. She is very thoughtful about dietary and allergy needs, and the kids eat plenty at her house, too. Her morning snack can practically be a second breakfast! She also caters to each child's needs, including how much time they need to eat.
Her home environment is excellent for kids. It's a safe, quiet neighborhood, and her home is always clean and well-equipped with toys and art supplies. In many cases she has multiples of the same toys so the kids don't have to fight over them. But when they do inevitably fight, she knows exactly how to defuse the situation. She does everything with love.
The kids are not spoiled, they are loved. They get lots of hugs from Pouri, they feel secure and cared for, and they learn to love and look out for each other as well. She doesn't send a lot of pictures (she's usually very busy!), but whenever she does, the kids always look happy and engaged.
And this is not just an environment where the kids have fun and are well cared for. They are learning, too. They learn from Pouri directly, but they also learn by watching how she interacts with each of them individually and with the other children. They take those lessons home with them. My son is so sweet to his little sister, and I've seen how his experience with other young children in Pouri's care, and the way she teaches them to treat each other gently and kindly, has helped shape how he interacts with her. In addition to building strong social skills with the other kids, they learn language and vocabulary, counting, colors, and all the basics you would want them to learn, and they do all of it while having fun.
She's also very experienced and professional. She's been doing this for a long time, and it shows. She is conscientious about following the rules and staying up to date with all of the requirements of running a childcare business. That experience also helps her understand what she can and cannot provide. She's honest and upfront about everything, and if she doesn't think she can meet your needs, she will be clear and direct about that. At the same time, she will go to all reasonable lengths to accommodate the needs of the families she serves.
Overall, I cannot recommend Pouri enough. She's truly one of a kind in the way she cares for the kids and their families. We are so lucky to have found her, and we will never forget our time with her. read more
