My son was born during covid and had heavy stranger anxiety. He cried during morning drop offs for several months. Nilu and Deepak were very patient with him. They took good care of him without complaining. Other daycares I tried before, they kept calling me to come pick him up because they couldn't settle him down. My son went there until he was ready for preschool. Nilu had promised me that she would teach him to read and spell his name before he went to school. His preschool teacher was surprised that he spelled his entire name on the first day of school when she asked him. Thank you Nilu! When I got pregnant with my second child, I knew exactly where I was going to send him. Now he's 6 months old and happy at Nilu's care. Highly recommend this place!

My mind is at ease during the workday because I know she is in excellent hands. I highly recommend this day care provider. She has earned every star on this review and then some. When my daughter had an upset tummy, Sumi even made special food just for her -- something I've never seen anywhere else. She provides four organic meals a day, which gave us so much peace of mind, and the daily schedule and pickup/drop-off timing are super convenient for working parents. My daughter was always happy, well-fed, and well-loved. We couldn't recommend Little Pearls Daycare and Sumi more!

As a parent you often hear, "It takes a village to raise a child." and Sumi and Little Pearls…read moredaycare is absolutely part of my "village" to raise my child. Little Pearls has allowed me to focus on work, so I can be a better parent when my child comes home. I was very hesitant and worried about putting my baby in daycare. I was lucky enough to keep my child at home until they were over a year old, but I had to return to the office and it was no longer possible to maintain. The opportunity to send my child to Little Pearls suddenly arrived. My husband and I toured the house, and our child met Sumi for the first time. Sumi asked if it was okay to wipe our child's nose and give them hug. My child being held by a completely new person seemed to be at ease in Sumi's arms. While most parents primarily interact with Sumi, her husband Tarun, is also a licensed child care provider. Sumi encouraged us to look up her license number prior to enrolling and to review the parent handbook throughly, and I would expect she still suggests the same. She is willing to discuss any questions you might have about what's there. It took weeks for my child to adjust to being in daycare. Sumi gave us tips on how we could help at home and sent us regular updates on our child's progress. It was very stressful at the time, but now my child runs into Sumi's house every morning excited to start their day together. I really appreciate the home cooked meals and no TV time. My child eats a wide variety of foods and it's so helpful for me to have my child's meals taken care of during a busy work week. My child has a daily schedule and it's helped us maintain regular bedtimes. My child is treated like a person, and Sumi knows all her kids so well. Sumi loves her kids and we've recommended Little Pearls to other new parents and will continue to recommend them. I am so thankful that Sumi has helped us develop such a kind and curious child during our time at Little Pearls. I'm sure we will miss her very much when my child goes to school.

Our daughter started…read morewith Jessie when she was just 16 months old and stayed until she was 3, and choosing Smart Start was truly one of the best decisions we made for her. Jessie became so much more than our daughter's daycare teacher -- she became like family and a true partner in helping us raise her. As working parents, there is no greater comfort than knowing that when you leave your child each day, they are with someone who genuinely loves and cares for them. We always had that feeling with Jessie. Over the past two years, we watched our daughter grow from a little toddler into such a happy, confident, independent and curious little girl. Jessie was incredibly loving, patient and attentive, and we know she played such an important role in her growth. Our daughter absolutely loves Jessie and the teachers and was always happy and comfortable there. We also really appreciated how much Jessie communicated with us and how well she came to know our daughter -- her personality, habits, likes and dislikes, and all the little things that matter when someone is caring for your child every day. Our daughter is moving on to preschool now, and leaving Smart Start is incredibly bittersweet. We are so grateful for the love and care she received during such important early years of her life. The biggest testament to how much we trust Jessie is that we already plan to send our younger child to Smart Start when she is old enough. We will always be grateful to Jessie for loving our daughter like their own. Smart Start will always have a very special place in our family's heart.

Smart Start is the Best Start!…read more It's hard to put into words how grateful we are for everyone at this daycare. From the moment our son started (he cried for 10 seconds after drop off on his first day and never again) he was welcomed with kindness, patience, and genuine love. Every day, we knew he was in a safe, clean, organized and nurturing environment where he was encouraged to learn, explore, and simply be a happy kid. Ms. Jessie and her team have had such a positive impact on his growth and confidence. They celebrated his milestones, comforted him when he needed it, and made each day full of fun, learning, and friendship. From the creative activities in a Chinese-English environment to fresh nutritious meals, it's clear they truly care about every child they work with. Ms. Jessie is there every single day and does an excellent job keeping close communication and providing updates. As our son moves on to his next adventure, we're leaving with full hearts and so much appreciation. Thank you for the wonderful memories of the past 2 years, the care you gave our family, and the incredible foundation you helped build for our son. We will always be grateful and highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a place where their child will truly be loved and cared for.

Our daughter recently graduated from Little Goose Daycare after spending two wonderful years there,…read morestarting when she was 2 years old. We are incredibly grateful for the experience she had and the strong foundation Little Goose helped her build. What we appreciated most was the warm, kind, and caring environment. The teachers give the children so much attention and genuinely care about their growth and well-being. Their approach emphasizes learning through play, which made learning feel natural and enjoyable for our daughter. Little Goose is also a bilingual Mandarin and English daycare, which was very important to us. Our daughter developed fluent Mandarin while attending Little Goose, and when she started TK two weeks ago, she was able to transition smoothly into an English-speaking school environment. She now communicates confidently in both Mandarin and English. We were also very impressed with how much she learned academically while still being allowed to be a kid. They introduce singing, the alphabet, numbers, and early writing skills in an engaging way. By her first week of TK, she was already able to write her own name, and we could really see how well Little Goose had prepared her for school. Another thing that really stood out was their approach to potty training. Our daughter was fully potty trained shortly after turning 3. Their method was so effective, patient, and natural that the transition was incredibly smooth -- she never had a single accident afterward. Overall, we are extremely impressed with Little Goose and the nurturing environment they have created. Our daughter left with wonderful memories, confidence, independence, strong language skills, and a great foundation for school. We now have a 1-year-old son, and there is no question that we plan to send him to Little Goose as well when he turns 2. That probably says more than anything else about how much we trust and appreciate this daycare. Highly recommended!

One of the things we really appreciate is the healthy and well-balanced lunch choices they provide. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is getting nutritious meals while she's there. Communication with the teachers has also been so easy and reassuring. They are attentive, caring, supportive, and always willing to communicate with us about how our child is doing. A special thank you to Ms. Anna and all the teachers for being so patient and encouraging. The daycare has helped our daughter grow in so many ways beyond academics. They supported her through potty training, helped her become more independent with everyday tasks like putting on her clothes and shoes, and taught her important manners such as saying please, thank you, and sorry. These may seem like small things, but as parents, we know how important they are in building confidence and independence. Most importantly, we feel that the care and preparation she has received here have helped her become emotionally ready for the next stage. She is more confident, independent, social, and comfortable trying things on her own--and we truly believe the daycare has played a big part in that growth. We are very thankful to all the teachers and staff for creating such a caring and supportive environment. It's reassuring to know that our child is not only being cared for, but also being prepared for the next chapter of her life.

My son went to this daycare for about a year in 2023. Our experience was a mixed bag…read more The good - It's my son's first daycare and he had a relatively smooth start here. Michelle and her crew are experienced, and they did create a cheerful environment for the kids. The bad - Sloppy day-to-day operations, or so we suspect at least. We could only speculate because the daycare was never open-door to parent visits (aside from the after-hour tour before we enrolled), but there were clear signs: (1) after the final checkout we found our son's steel mug missing, and it sounded like the crew didn't even remember seeing it - makes us wonder how they manage each kid's personal items. (2) Apparently, kids get to watch TV the last hour-ish before pickup every day. When we asked about this, Ms Michelle was 100% unapologetic. ("If you have concerns with that, I can totally arrange for your kid to stay in another room before pickup.") The ugly - The tuition uses a monthly rate without any adjustments for days off, and in December 2023, they're open for a whopping total of FOUR days - which isn't great, but nothing unethical I think, as they did share the calendar beforehand. We happen to be traveling the entire December, so we gave the 30-day notice for an end-of-November checkout. To our surprise, this was considered by Michelle an unfair (?) attempt to circumvent the December rip-off, and she insisted that we receive 5 fewer days of care in November. She would also go out of her way and type a "holiday notice" customized just for us. For context, the schedule has a 5-day off for Thanksgiving that's moved to December instead, and the daycare's open for the week of Thanksgiving. We were given a customized fake schedule that says they're closed during that week. We happened to be traveling, too, so it wasn't a huge issue, but the shady practice and bad attitude by Michelle did leave a bad taste. No, Ms Michelle, you can't claim people are "taking unfair advantages" when all they do is try to stick to YOUR established schedule. The care provided during Thanksgiving week was part of your schedule, simply as that and not a "benefit" that you selectively bestow only to those paying $2,000 for 4 days of care in the next month.

There are also so many programs and projects listed in the newsletter we receive regularly.
