Brands located here include JD Sports, Sports Direct, Marks and Spencer Simply Food, Boots, Argos, EE and Next. The location is easily accessed, with a large car park, with buses serving the area nearby. It is also a stone's throw away from the DW Stadium, home to Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors. A large ASDA supermarket is also nearby. The retail park doesn't have much of an online presence, I couldn't find a list of stores and restaurants located here anywhere, which was pretty frustrating. In terms of eating and drinking, the selection is good for fast food with Subway, Greggs, KFC and Burger King have outlets here, the latter two being drive-thrus. The only coffee shop would be Costa (inside Next), in terms of more of a restaurant, there is a Nando's in the process of being constructed (September 2021), but it isn't much else. 3* - A-OK, there is a good selection of stores here.

I find this absolutely ridiculous as there is just not enough time to use the shops in a relaxed way. I intend to boycott the retail park and protest. I think that the media needs to be informed of this situation. I can certainly understand if people leave their cars parked on the car park for hours and hours. Grand Arcade is a small shopping centre, serving Wigan town centre, considering it serves a small…read moretown, it isn't too bad, they do have a decent selection of brands including WHSmith, Boots, Superdrug, JD, Wilko and Waterstones. Car Parking isn't free, but being in Wigan town centre there is easy public transport access if coming here via train from Wigan Wallgate, or Wigan North Western, and buses also serve nearby. It's modern and clean and I like how they have a statue dedicated to George Formby, a comedian and singer, known for his ukelele, who was born in Wigan. 3* - Not too bad for a small town, but not worth a trip out for.

Absolute rubbish I went to the Bamber Bridge outlet a few…read moreweeks ago. I saw something I really liked and inquired about delivery for a nest of tables: I am a senior citizen and don't drive. This did not appear to be a good idea. Do they use a "man and his van" So today I travelled the 3 miles or so by bus, intending to get a taxi home. It was throwing it down and I got drenched. I couldn't get served as only one staff on the tills and a rather longish queue. So I again I wandered around and now found two staff chatting. I told them when they finally decided to speak to me that I wanted some tables, but not exactly sure which to choose. I was shocked to be now told that I needed to order then and I can come back and collect the tables on Monday. WHAT!!!!!!!!! This was the first indication that I needed to do this. I have checked the sites, there is no mention of ordering. I was not told to order on my previous visit. Image . . . walking into Tesco and doing your weekly shop, only to be told at the till that you cannot have some items and that they have to be ordered. I have gone out of my way today to spend upwards of a couple of hundred pounds in their stores and walked out DISGUSTED. They are not worth bothering with. John in Leyland

Some prices seemed slightly higher than Boots nearby, but the selection overall was satisfactory. The store was also clean, the one-way system due to COVID seemed difficult to follow at some of the "narrow" parts of the store. 3* - Decent Superdrug store, I do prefer Boots nearby though in terms of the overall selection.

Superdrug is situated on the ground floor in the galleries shopping centre. It is a large store on…read moreone level with decent sized aisles making it suitable for disabled shoppers or mums with buggies.It is also a very bright and welcoming store with lots of choice in the cosmetics and toiletries it stocks. There is a separate perfume counter selling all the latest designer perfumes but these rae not particularly cheap. Throughout the store there are often offers on the toiletries, gift sets etc but on the whole prices are not as low as bodycare which is just opposite. Superdrug also sells a selection of mobile phones with contracts, and has a small confectionery/ drinks section for snacks on the go. There are often deals available on the bottled drinks. At christmas there are a large number of gifts and gift sets available within the store.
