When I lived in Victoria Park I would always pop in and see Jaz on my way home from uni. He always recognised me and had something to chat about. He sells everything you'd expect to find in a discount store - 4 cans of pop for £1, chocolate bars, laundry baskets, clothes airers, Christmas decorations, pens, notebooks, loo roll.... I've actually bought all of the aforementioned goodies here and they are of surprisingly good quality. I bought a dirty washing basket from here for £1 in 2005 and it's still going strong! On more than one occasion Jaz has offered to pick me and my friends whatever we wanted up from the cash and carry and he's even requested our advice on pricing. Once he asked me how much I'd be willing to pay for a horrid talking Christmas tree. Not wanting to offend him, I told him I'd pay £5, which I think was a bit ambitious. Top marks to Jaz for providing an excellent level of customer service for the local students and families in the otherwise deserted Vicky Park.

This shop will suit you if: (i) You want a 'designer' watch that weighs less than a piece of paper and doesn't tell the time. (ii) You want to see all the worst films ever made in one big pile with no organizing nonsense such as alphabetizing or chronologizing principles. (iii) You are just too calm and want to get stressed out fast. If you don't fit this criteria (you'd be surprised how busy this establishment is) then stay away. The signs outside say proclaim that it is going out of business, so hopefully the shop will turn into something useful or cool, but I have a feeling it will remain a terrible cheap shop for years to come. There is a car-park near ASDA, but if you're looking to save some money or use public transport, Wythenshawe Town Centre Metrolink is virtually opposite which is on the Manchester Airport - Manchester Victoria dark blue line. Most stores are pretty small and outdated compared to other stores within the respective chains located here, that's still better than empty units though, but sadly there are many empty units in and around the area. Brands here include Poundstretcher, Farmfoods, Heron, Home Bargains Poundland, Boots, Superdrug, Wilko. It just felt really uninspiring and run-down, which was pretty bad too. The extra star is for the location providing something to Wythenshawe town centre, and the fact the ASDA and Post Office located here aren't too bad.

You can save a lot of money indeed with careful shopping so I would recommend B&M highly for bargain hunters.

All bags are checked for authenticity so you can rest assured you're buying a genuine item. The staff couldn't be nicer, and they're not pretentious or overbearing so I often just go in for a browse without any pressure to buy. Golden purchase - a hand embroided, leather Dior bag. I mainly came in here to get some travel items ahead of my flight with RyanAir to Berlin such as drinks, the drink selection was okay, yet of course the prices were of a high-end nature which is common for airport locations and frustratingly, the amount of offers on products were lower and the products on promotion still seem to end up at a higher cost than regular stores. The scan it yourself machines are a big thing here, with only one manned till (which isn't always manned), I found the checkout area overall to be a mess, it was full of slow machines which weren't working very well, and so many shoppers yet so little staff. Due to the reasons discussed, I sadly think this is a poor branch and due to the poor layout and cluttered nature, while also considering the lack of staff, I really feel this store needs to do so much more without sitting back and showing a lack of care due to very few rivals nearby due to the Airport location, so for now this store deserves a single one-star rating.
