Cute place! Ordering in English (forgot to look up what "whole rotisserie chicken" in Dutch was before I left) was pretty awkward, but otherwise enjoyed my contact with the staff.
The chicken itself is lovely. I made the mistake of asking for the jus my second time ordering, and the chicken I received was already a little less crisp to begin with. So I ended up with a soggy chicken (I thought she would put the jus in a container, there were little containers for it but I think the language issue made her not want to check with me and she just dumped it on the chicken before I knew what was going on) and would've been better off with a grocery store hen. But the first time I ordered it was so crisp and lovely, I couldn't imagine comparing it to the typical grocery store rotisserie. Possibly hit and miss?
I believe there's a restaurant upstairs, but haven't been in. There's a sort of store downstairs in the front where you order the chicken, they have things like chicken nuggets or salads. They also have cheesecake factory cheesecake, which is kind of weird to see in Wilrijk. That's all a bit expensive, but the chicken is great and fairly priced.
Have only tried the original flavor, but the rosemary and lemon flavor seemed to be the favorite with other customers. read more
